Jamie Cox of Canton was here on Monday for the estimate, and the work was scheduled for Thursday and done in one day! He arrived with a large crew and got right to work. When I got home from work that day, I was astounded that everything was already done and everything looked so good! I don't even think his crew took a break all day. I was so impressed with Jamie; he's very professional and hard-working. Protect Painters was not the least expensive proposal that I got, but they did quality work. During the estimate process, Jamie went out to his truck to calculate the estimate. Then I got a knock on the door, and he asked me to come out to the back of the house. He had been looking around at the work to be done, and noticed several spots of rotted wood on the outside of the porch, some of them you could even poke your finger through. Just looking at it, one would think it only needed a paint job but, on closer inspection, much more than paint was needed. Neither of the other companies that I got estimates from even noticed this. Jamie was the only one who pointed out the problems and said we would need some carpentry work done before the painting was done. He and his crew replaced the wood and my house looks fantastic! I would highly recommend Protect Painters.

The company provided an estimate and time to perform the work. Scheduling was a bit tough due to weather and timing in the season, but once we set a date, they performed the job as agreed. I only met with the estimator, John, as the workers came and performed the outside work while I was at work. They did a great job and were very clean. I will definitely hire them again for paint work.

Protect Painters was very good and I would use them again.

We obtained four bids for this work. Although Protect was not the lowest of the four, the estimate was very detailed and it was clear that they knew what they were doing. Jaimie Cox was extremely professional and helpful throughout the process. He also worked with us to complete the job prior to my son's graduation so that our house would look its best for our guests. We could not be more pleased with the job they did.

Exterior painting of 1250 sq ft home in Roslindale. Very easy process. Did not require a bunch of calls, follow ups, etc. as seems to be typical with contractors. John is VERY responsive - bonus that he responds via email! Overall highly recommended.

We called to ask for an estimate which was set up quickly. Jamie Cox came to the house, walked around with us and gave us a printed estimated that day. He was very personable and professional; he was the first person to come over and we were actually relieved that the other estimate came in higher because we wanted to work with him. We wanted the job done quickly and we were fortunate that he had a cancellation and was able to take us very quickly. His workers came to the house, did their thing and were very pleasant. They clearly wanted to get the job done and stayed later than we had expected--which was a good thing. The house was scraped and painted; everything was cleaned up. Jamie asked us to look around first on our own and then to walk around with him. There was a tiny little mark on a door, which he cleaned up immediately--my husband actually noticed it, not me. They painted the house as well as an extra back garage that we have, which is like another little house and has a lot of windows. Both structures were done beautifully. I would recommend them to anyone who asked; neighbors commented on how quickly the job was completed.

Jamie and his team are true professionals. He responded to our work request promptly and gave a reasonable quote compared to other painters. His painters were very respectful of our home and did an incredible job cleaning up after they were finished. We would definitely have them do more interior work for us in the future.

The representative from Protect Painting was excellent. He showed up when promised and was very detailed and thorough in explaining what his company would do. He printed up a very professional quote within 1/2 hour from his truck and included that in a professional looking presentation that also included dozens of referrals in the area as well as their licensing & bonding information. Very impressive! Unfortunately, their price was much higher than the company we ulitmately went with. I would consider them again for other jobs.

They did a great job. I was extremely pleased. They gave me a good price. I did a lot of shopping around. They went over and above and did some carpentry work too. The place is looks fantastic now so I am thrilled.

It was a very good experience. They explained the job carefully before hand. They were quick and very prompt. Once I contracted with them, they surprised me and were here within a couple of days. They were done within a couple of days after they started.

Jamie and his crew were extremely professional from start to finish. I was particularly impressed when he provided me with not only his insurance credentials, but also a long list of client references. I did some due diligence and heard nothing but the best. He took the time to go through each area, recommending what paint/stain he would use for the job at hand and why. Moreover, his quote was the lowest among the painting companies I had contacted (most through Angie's List). The job went so well that I hired them again for an interior project, removing the remaining wallpaper from our stairway and painting it, three bedroom doors and the upstairs hallway. The job was well worth the $1,500 expense. If you're looking for a painter on the South Shore, I would highly recommend Jamie at ProTect Painters.

They did a good job the painted the house and they were prompt and respond to phone calls quickly and were well experienced but competitive and very professional staff. The manager was very hands on.

It was in the spring when it rained just about everyday, so they worked when they could but there were weeks at a time when they couldn't. They always let me know and rescheduled. When the weather cleared up, he had a crew of 8-10 people and finished it in 2 days totaling about 4 days of work. He also took care of buying the paint for me with the color I picked which was a custom color.

Paint job was started a few days earlier than promised, finished in exactly the amount of time promised. However, there is no indication on their paperwork that they honored their Angie's discount.

OVERALL, I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK PERFORMED. JAMIE COX RETURNED MY INITIAL CALL VERY TIMELY. I EXPLAINED I WAS IN A TIME CRUNCH TO GET THE HOUSE PAINTED, DUE TO PLANS TO PUT IT ON THE MARKET. HE WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE WORK WITHIN TEN DAYS. THE PRICE WAS FAIR, AND THE WORK WAS QUITE GOOD. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN, JAIME ALSO STOPPED BY MY OFFICE TO PICK UP A PAINT SAMPLE AND LATER TO COLLECT PAYMENT. MY WIFE, WHO WAS HOME AT THE TIME, FOUND ALL THE EMPLOYEES TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

VERY GOOD. THEY ARE RESPONSIVE, DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO, AND WORK VERY QUICKLY AND NEATLY. THIS IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD CONTRACTOR. DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME MORE SERVICES THAN WERE ACTUALLY NEEDED, AND THOUGH NOT THE ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST BID, PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE--MUCH LOWER THAN SOME OF THE BIDS I GOT.

ONE OF THE MOST RESPONSIVE COMPANIES THAT I'VE EVER HAD AS FAR AS HOUSE WORK GOES. THEY WERE INCREDIBLY NICE, AND THE SOLE REASON THAT I DIDN'T GO WITH THEM WAS THEIR QUOTE WAS THE HIGHEST OF THE 7 THAT I RECEIVED.

WE HAD SOME DIFFICULTY SCHEDULING THE WORK DUE TO WEATHER DELAYS ON THEIR PART. THE FINAL PRODUCT WAS GOOD AND THE PRICE WAS $1000 LESS THAN OTHER ESTIMATES. THEY DID NOT FULLY CLEAN UP OR PUT BACK OUR DECK FURNITURE AND GRILL. OVERALL A FAIR TO GOOD JOB AT A GREAT PRICE.

DIDN'T USE THIS COMPANY, FAILED TO RETURN MY CALL.

PAINTERS WERE SLOPPY, GLOBBED ON THE PAINT AND MISSED AREAS. ALTHOUGH THE PAINTERS AND OWNER WERE VERY NICE AND QUICKLY CAME BACK TO REPAINT CERTAIN AREAS THE GLOBS REMAINED ON THE TRIM AND PLANTS. THE OWNER AND PAINTERS WERE VERY PERSONABLE, BUT I FELT THAT THEY RUSHED THROUGH THE JOB AND THEREFORE DID NOT PRODUCE THEIR BEST WORK.
