This outlet was sparking when I plugged appliances into it and affected two other kitchen outlets. Mr. Rodrigues and his partner notified me they were running ahead of time and arrived 45 minutes early. They were friendly, efficient and clearly knew what they were doing. Mr. Rodrigues diagnosed and fixed the problem in no time. I highly recommend E/R Electric and will use them again when the need arises.

E/R is great. They were prompt, fast, very friendly, and did great work.

Please keep in mind that I am the President of our Condo Association for our Back Bay Brownstone and handle all of the repairs for the entire building of 4 condos along with all common areas. We have had over a dozen very experienced electricians in the past 15 years and ER Electric is head and shoulders above the rest - very impressive group. Their team of 3 arrived early for our 7:30 am appointment and immediately got to work installing an exterior outlet to our building - no easy task I thought as they needed to drill through the foundation. They sailed through the project with ease and their responsiveness (prior to the project and onsite), overall professionalism, and quality of work on the job was OUTSTANDING! They completed the job in two hours and were extremely polite and courteous. They are now the official electrician we will be using for our building needs!

I had waited almost a month for this provider to be free. He said he would come between 8am and 9am on January 8th. My husband and I were both home waiting for him. He said he knocked and rang the bell - we didn't hear anything. My husband was downstairs not 100 feet from the front door and didn't hear a thing. No one called me. I got a text at 7:42am (proving that they had my number) and he said "we are here". I immediately went outside. No one. They had already left at 7:42. I texted back asking what happened and when he was coming back - he came early and didn't even call me? He proceeded to say "thanks for that two hour drive", "no wonder other providers didn't come to your house" (what? that doesn't even make sense), and acted childish and insulting. We will never call this guy again. ***UPDATE: I got sarcastic text messages (this guy still has never actually picked up the phone to call me) saying my review makes him laugh (complete with emojis). I said "stop harrassing me. I can write whatever I want. That was my experience. Please leave me alone." To which he responded "WE NEVER WORKED FOR YOU. GET OVER IT" among some other rude things. Seriously? The guy clearly cares that I wrote a negative review if he took the time to send me angry text messages (and wouldn't stop after I asked him to leave me alone). I wrote this review because this was my (very bad) experience and I felt it was fair to let other people know that it happened to me. I would understand that if he had actually called me and I missed it, that he'd have every right to leave. But to immediately be angry and say things like "thanks for making us drive two hours for nothing" at 7:45am and then continuing to send me angry messages after I told him to stop is not what a responsible business owner should be doing. My husband is writing a more comprehensive review on Yelp as well. This behavior may be out of character for this guy, I won't comment on that. But to be immediately rude and aggressive to what would have been a paying customer should be noted.

Three men showed up on time and got straight to work. They were professional and friendly. It turned out that I had gotten the wrong type of dimmers, so they worked on, and fixed, the light that kept shorting out, and inspected all of the wiring on the smoke alarms (that had been malfunctioning) while I went out to get the correct ones. As soon as I returned, they explained all of their findings to me and got right to work on the dimmers. Everything was done well and professionally, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Eddie and his team at E/R electric were fantastic. It was right around the Christmas holidays and I had called many electricians who were already booked. I tried Angie's List and E/R electric responded immediately. They were on time, professional, friendly and solutions oriented. They arrived early, we discussed where the plugs were wanted, they reviewed the circuits and area. then we went to panel to have them check. We then went out to look at best places to install and they started their work. they installed high quality plugs which are even insulated with plugs that stick out. Only negative was they did not have caulking to fill the holes and around each unit.

What a pleasure it was to have Eddie and his team do these small electrical jobs! From first email contact with him he was very professional. He got back to me right away, scheduled the time with an hour window, texted me they were on their way, introduced me to his team and then they went to work and got it done so quickly. An outlet needed to be cut into the wall, he consulted me with options, it was done so fast, and they even cleaned up with a wet mop the entire room. When they were done he asked if I needed anything else done! I did ask him a question about this 1920s house wiring and use of outlets - he reassured me that all was okay. I will definitely use E/R Electric again and am relieved to have found someone I can trust, that was professional and friendly. Well done!

We found out about them via a coupon that we purchased for electrical work. I contacted them and they were extremely prompt in getting back to me. It took a couple of weeks to set up the appointment which is not a bad thing. The fact that they're busy told me that they were doing good work and were in high demand. We found a mutually convenient time. I was able to send them a YouTube video to tell them exactly what I wanted done. I have a finished attic that I wanted to add a cable outlet and electrical outlet in the middle of the room in which they would have to tear out a little bit of carpet and run the wires underneath the floor. After they saw the YouTube video they told me would not be a problem. On the day of the equipment they arrived right on time. The three guys introduce himself as were very professional and very polite. They went straight to work upstairs in the attic. I went downstairs and very shortly there after one of the men came down and asked for a vacuum. But when I got upstairs everything was vacuumed up and the carpet was placed neatly back in place. I inspected the work and it was wonderfully done. I will definitely be using them again to install some UV lighting in my basement. Very happy with their work

I recommend E/R Electric wholeheartedly. I found them on Angie's List and purchased a voucher for the smoke/carbon monoxide detector installation. While there, Eddie gave me an estimate for replacing all the electrical switches in my condo. He installed new, modern switches, including several dimmer switches. He also replaced some plugs and replaced unused telephone and cable TV plates with blank plates where I asked him to do so. Finally, he replaced my old broken doorbell with a new one. I cannot say enough about Eddie and his team, Angelo and Steve. They are professional, courteous, punctual, neat, thorough, polite, hard-working and honest. I would hire them again in a minute. I am so glad I found them on Angie's List! I will recommend them to anyone asking me if I know of an excellent and reasonably priced electrician. I am not just satisfied; I am thrilled with their work. This has been a wonderful experience for me.

It went great. Better than expected. At 7:30AM three electricians showed up and went right to work. There was an issue with a switch that I didn't know of and they fixed that too. I told my boss that I would be late for work but I ended up being early - for the first time this year.They were fast and friendly and very professional. I would definitely hire them again.

The provider was very good about communicating in a time manner and was very punctual for the appointment. 3-electricians showed up and were courteous and professional. They finished the requested repairs / update in about 25-mins.

Went very well - took less than an hour

I bought an Angie's List deal of 2 hours of electrical work for $160. At the time of purchase, there was a section to request three dates of service/time of service, which I completed with dates for the next week. No response. Over a week later I got a request for a list of work I wanted done and, again, preferred dates of service. I completed this form and sent it in. Again, no response. I called them and the answering machine referred me back to their e-mail. So, I sent ER an e-mail of complaint and received an angry answer saying that they HAD responded to my e-mails. That was unprofessional. The only purpose of a reply should be to help solve the problem. I think that their only method of communication -- by e-mail -- was confusing because the client could answer either directly to the e-mail or sign onto Angie's List and answer that way. Apparently the company and me used different e-mail access. In my third e-mail, the complaint, I said I was going to cancel the purchase since "no response" and they were booking now past the date I needed the work to be done. However, in their next e-mail they said they would meet my deadline, and today three of their electricians showed up together. The work was professional and done quickly. It took less than two hours, but that was fine with me. One of the e-mail access points actually has REPLY written in large highlighted letters. However, underneath that, in small letters it says not to reply to this email. Duh? If the client can not talk to a person but must rely on e-mail, their communication system had better be completely clear.

Eddie and his staff actually were able to come a little earlier than expected and texted me to let me know prior to their arrival. They quickly assessed the job and gave me a price. I found his pricing competitive and he was able to complete the job in a short time. They did a professional job, were pleasant and courteous, and did a thorough clean-up afterwards. I found them friendly and reliable and I would definitely use them again.

Eddie was very responsive when I first reached out in Sept 2015 and he came out quickly to diagnose the problem of a broken motor on my attic fan. He ordered the needed part and was in touch all along the way via messaging. When they came to replace the part, they were willing to work in poor weather, even though the job was partially outside on my roof. There was an unanticipated snag as the fan pieces wouldn't come apart, but he quickly ran out and got the remaining parts and completed the job. Overall, Eddie and his team were courteous, clean and completed the job I requested.
