Kirkland and Shaw Plumbing & Heating Inc

On a Saturday night, we broke a small piece in the bath tub faucet so that it would not turn off. We always call Kirkland for plumbing issues since they are always prompt and reliable. They didn't let us down. It took about an hour to get someone to the house and we did have to pay extra for the weekend job. But they fixed it well and quickly and were as polite and easy to deal with as always.

It seems to be a fairly well-run company. The person who gave me the estimate seemed knowledgeable. Their estimate was a little higher than the competition. They were helpful.

Both experiences were very good, they are prompt, neat and efficient. Overall the pricing was reasonable and exactly as expected. They are the first company that I call when I have plumbing needs.

I called on a Wednesday. They came out right away to assess the problem and offered a number of reasonable and cost conscious solutions. They came back out first thing Friday morning, right on schedule and completed the job in an hour. They were professional and courteous. I have used their services several times over the last 5 years and I have always found them very helpful.

We had received many estimates and we selected and scheduled Kirkland and Shaw. They did a good job. The project took some time. They did a great job. They were very thorough, clean. They also installed a reservoir tank for the hot water. Their price was average. They were very professional.

They came within about an hour of my call to replace the control on the water heater. They were prompt, quick and a pleasure to deal with.

I sent an email early AM on 3/8. K & S called with in an hour and set up appointment for early afternoon. The plumber arrived at the scheduled time. He was capable and professional. I mentioned to him that there is a water hammer when the shower valve is shut off. He told me that the valve was worn (18 yrs old) and that was the cause of the water hammer. He had one in his vehicle and replaced the old valve, no more hammer. Everything works just fine, thank you! A couple of years ago, before Angie's List, this company replaced a leaking 70 gallon domestic hot water storage tank. It was done in one day from an emergency early morning call to mid-afternoon completion. I want to mention it now to let Angie's List subscribers know the excellent service that this company provides.

Great. my furnace suddenly sprang a leak when I was trying to insulate the outer pipes. It was early afternoon on New Year's Eve when I accidentally pushed a pipe, the connection of which into the tankless was badly corroded. Water started spurting out. In desperation, with fears about losing heat over the New Years weekend, I called a bunch of places. Among them, Kirkland and Shaw was able to come quickly, within an hour. They did the job quickly and well, and I was able to enjoy a new years eve party later that evening. Although the cost might seem like a bit much for the time, $115 labor for about 40 minutes' work plus $16 for parts, in view of the fact that they got over very quickly on the eve of a long weekend, and that I would have paid probably $250 without blinking, I think it was all very reasonable. I'm very happy with their service and the cost.

It went fine. They came pretty quickly, and the guy did a good job and was really nice. I think this visit was a good value and overall experience. They put the water heater in just over a year ago, and I'm still miffed that this wasn't warrantied. That experience also wasn't great with them trying to add $700 to the bill after giving me the price during the install, and then being less than professional about it when I called (though they did honor the original price after I pushed back hard enough). They also had to come back as the install wasn't done well enough and the unit was leaking exhaust into the basement. Would I use them again? Not sure. The first experience was not good in my eyes - either the work or the professionalism. I didn't want to use them again, or at least wanted to try someone else, but I hadn't gotten around to finding someone before this little emergency, so I gave them another try. They were pretty good this time, and, while not cheap, the guy put in a solid hour and I think they earned about what they charged. I think I'll spend some time on Angie's List trying to find another plumber so I can try an alternative. One upside to my first experience is that I find myself loath to call a plumber, so I've learned quite a bit about fixing sinks and rebuilding toilets. I should only need a plumber for serious stuff now, which is nice.

They had a lot of people. I liked that they showed up very well prepared to do the job and get it done. I will use them again in the future.

They are very responsive. They have always done a good job. I had a simple problem with a toilet, however it would have taken my a half a dozen trips to the hardware store to repair the problem. When I called them up and explained the problem and they came right out with all the right parts to fix the problem. It was like I snapped my fingers and it was fixed.

Since our call was made after business hours, we were instructed to call a pager number. The plumber on call responded back within minutes. When I described the problem to him, he explained that an emergency visit would be rather expensive, and suggested that we might want to wait until the next morning for a repair. When I expressed concern about flooding, he asked if I would like him to try to talk me through repairing it myself. I am not particularly handy, but I said I was game to try. I found a wrench, and with some very basic instructions from the plumber, I was able to tighten up the correct nut and stop the leak! He saved us over $200 in emergency service charges, and gained a very loyal customer in return. I've already arranged for them to come by next week to do some less urgent work we need done. They've done work for us in the past as well, and have always been very professional. Highly recommended!

They are punctual and they are priced fairly. They really know their stuff. They are very pleasant and I have no complaints about them.

Kirkland & Shaw Inc. did a good job. Everytime I call they send someone who is professional. They clean up after themselves. The prices they give me are fair. They have been good to work with. Kirkland & Shaw Inc. maintains the level of the quality of service. When I had a problem with the valve they put in, they came right out and fixed it at no charge.

Our water heater was dumping water in the basement. I called Kirkland and Shaw and they sent someone within an hour. He got right to work pumping the water out of the old heater and installing the new one. The new heater works great. They're expensive, but what plumber isn't? They always come out promptly when I call them and they do a great job.

I called them up before the addition was almost completed. I spoke with a representative about the work and he was very helpful in helping me decide on what to add to my addition. He was the only plumber who didn't ask to add a new heating system. All the work was very professional. Everything works very well.

It went great over all. They came when they said they would. They did what the said they'd do and gave us the price before they began. The price was a little high but it was worth it because they were easy to work with.

The quality of the plumbers from this company have been varied. We've used this company many times over the last 20 years, but the last 5 years, we've had some bad experiences with poor quality. The owner has been responsive about adjusting billing, but I don't care to risk using them again.
