I contacted Chase Plumbing last week when my gas dryer broke. Ian was very helpful, answered my questions, and called me back when he was busy with another job. I needed him to disconnect the gas from the old dryer, and when the new one came in, do the connection. He was spot on - he said he would come Monday around 7:30 AM to disconnect the old dryer, and he was there. When the delivery of the new dryer was held up, he was still conscientious about making sure I knew that he would be there to do the reconnect in the shortest reasonable time frame, and he was. While he was at the house, I had another problem that our previous plumber said would need to be performed on a separate visit - and would require cutting through the drywall to correct a shower/spout issue (even though I had the parts from the manufacturer). I asked Ian if he could take a look, and he fixed it right then. I did not ask for a breakdown of the costs, but Ian was willing to take another few minutes to solve the long-standing shower spout problem - and did not try to get another visit or another service call fee out of me, which I deeply appreciated. Bottom line: Plumbers know that most of the time you are not calling them for a problem that can wait. You need someone who will be there in a timely manner, do the job well, and not take advantage of the situation. I think Chase Plumbing qualifies on all counts.

Excellent experience. Ian was great to work with today. We called today and service arrived within 2 hours. Our sink/drain have been properly addressed.

Ian, the owner, usually answers the call and gauges how stress the situation is. He has a very reassuring manner. This is important to me as a now-single woman living in a house with systems I have never fully understood! There are times he comes immediately - himself - and other times an equally competent member of his team. They always arrive with booties...to put on their boots - which I really appreciate since I have a light carpet. After a full explanation of what's in store - they get right to work. They are focused and don't waste time. On one occasion I had done something very stupid - misread a gauge on my furnace and overfilled it . I was reassured " lots of customers do it", so I didn't feel embarrassed. And I learned that my furnace acted just the way it should! So a major catastrophe turned into a simple, inexpensive job. I will always use this company in the future - esp because I trust them. I have been taken advantage of in the past...and am grateful they are honest and respectful..

I had the recurrent and extremely serious problem of gas leaks in the kitchen. This whole experience has been an exercise in "you get what you pay for". The prior plumbing service came out twice - and the leaks continued. Each time positively verified by instrument and/or soap test by the gas company. The third time it happened, I said "enough - I'm going to Angie's List and getting the best out there, no matter the price". And it worked! I spoke to Ian on the phone and he was very courteous and helped set up a timely early morning appt. Chad came out to do the work. He was efficient and professional. He did a good job of getting to the root of the problem, explaining all the steps he needed to do and what new equipment would be needed/why. The labor might be a little more per hour than some, but so what? - as I said "you get what you pay for". And anyway they honored the 5% discount. It's just such a nice feeling to finally have the problem solved. If I have any future plumbing needs, I know exactly where to go!

Had an unexpected half-day off and a clogged drain. Called Chase, the first company on an Angie's List search. They could not come that day but graciously provided the phone number for Drain Remedy and they COULD come. Grateful to Chase for helping me solve my problem with nothing in it for them.

I needed a hot water heater moved as well as new lines run for a renovation. Chase plumbing was great to work with and did fantastic work.

Ian was very responsive. Answered my call while he was in the field on a job and suggested that we correspond via email going forward. I sent the details via email, ordered the part myself, as I found a really good deal on Amazon for the valve, and he installed it. Ian was responsive over email and we pretty easily set up a time for the repair work to be done. Very neat with his work, drop clothes, booties on shoes, etc. Also, he gave me honest opinions on some other work that I needed done and approaches that would be most economical. The repair was completed he he invited me to test it to make sure it was to my satisfaction, now we don't have to take scalding hot showers anymore! All in all, good value, trust worthy, and responsive, what more could you ask for? I've added him to my portfolio of contractors I will use and recommend to others.

My wife said the person who did the work was personable and professional. We also got our 5% Angie's List discount. Very happy with the service.

Chase Plumbing returned my initial call the same day and scheduled a date to do the work. The sink iin the first floor bath has been running slow for some time and did not improve after using drain cleaner which had usually worked in the past. I also had a new faucet to replace the old one in the same sink. Ian gave me a date when he could do both jobs thus saving the cost of two seperate visits. He gave me a time slot of between 3 and 5 p.m. He then called to say he would be here approximately 3:30. Ian arrived on time with his assistant in training, steve. Ian replaced the faucet in no time and went to work on the drain which turned out to be stubborn but he kept at it and was able to clear the drain. I did ask him about a couple of other issues that needed to be addressed and made a decision to call for an appointment when we are ready to do the work . Ian was very professional and cordial and he's a great plumber!

I called Chase Plumbing based on the numerous positive reviews and described the problem in detail and to set-up a time he could take a look at the problem. He answered, said that it was an issue he could take care of, and that he would call that evening to set up an appointment. He did so and we set up a window for 1 week later on a Monday from 11-1. He didn't arrive during the 11-1 window nor did he call to let me know he would be running late. I called him twice after 1:00 to get an update and 2 of his employees arrived at 3:30. Though it may be difficult to get to appointments on time due to unforseen issues, which I can understand, a courtesy call goes along way in making the situation better. When his employees arrived, they did not have a ladder, drop cloth, shop vac, broom, or dust pan in their truck to do the work. It also didn't seem that the information about what I wanted done/expected had been passed to his employees. They opened a few small holes in the ceiling and eventually found a small drop of water coming from the flange area under the toilet. They decide to lift the toilet and reseat it but didn't have a wax ring on their truck and the late arrival forced it to wait until the next morning. They did arrive at 7AM the next morning as requested. The lack of preparedness and late arrival, however, was frustrating. We agreed to monitor the issue after the toilet was reseated since it was unlikely to be the only issue. I opened up the ceiling and found the shower to be leaking as well. To Ian's credit, he agreed to stop by a week later at no charge to take a closer look at what I had found and provided his opinion on what should be done to fix the situation. Overall, I was disappointed with this interaction relative to the number of positivie reviews Chase Plumbing had received. The lack of preparedness (no ladder, drop cloth, etc.), common parts not readily avaialble (wax rings), and no courtesy call that they were running late made this frustrating. He did return to take a look at the issue (7AM) and honored the Angie's List discount.

Chase plumbing worked with our needed schedule and accommodated several changes "on the fly". When they encountered a levelness problem (seating one of the new bath tubs) they pulled the tub along with its mortar base and reinstalled the tub. They always communicated their work schedule and I would highly recommend them.

Ian and his crew were very professional and helpful. The job was done relatively quickly and I was very pleased with the results. His crew cleaned up after themselves and inspections were done quickly. His pricing was very competitive. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Very wellPrice was good. even unexpected additions which became needed during job (like re-arranging filter in pool house) were very reasonably priced. Ian is responsive, polite, punctual, and stuck to the plan. I ended up with a professional job at about half the price a pool company offered me to do job.

I was impressed with the responsiveness of the organization and the professionalism who the person who completed the work. We needed a dishwasher to be changed out, and they made the process very easy to do. The work took about an hour. We thought we were charged fairly for their efforts. We would highly recommend this company for other's to use, and plan to call them again about any plumbing issues we have in the future.

Ian gave a phone price and installed a new water heater at that price. Watching him work, and asking him questions, he is plainly experienced and meticulous. He is now my plumber for future work.

Our toilet was overflowing and then not flushing. We were able to turn the water off ourselves, but we needed the toilet fixed. We called Ian in the evening and he was able to make it to our home the next morning, as ours was an emergency issue. He arrived exactly when he said he would, described in detail what needed to be done to the toilet, and fixed it immediately. We also inquired about loud pipes, so he checked out our entire plumbing system, also described in detail our water pressure problem, and made suggestions at every price level. He gave us an estimate for that work as well, which we're planning to have him do soon. He was friendly, professional, organized and cleaned up perfectly.

During his last visit we realized the excessively high mixture of Glycol in the system was causing significant problems with my boiler. It appeared to have caused the expansion tank bladder to burst and several valves to corrode. Once these problems were corrected we scheduled the appointment for December 23 to correct the problem with the Glycol. Ian had to reschedule to 1/3. Ian was prompt and attended to draining and flushin the boiler and all pipes and added 5 gallons of glycol, vented for air, tested for proper mixture and acidity. I am very pleased with the professionalism and care that Ian takes. I would highly recommend Ian to any friends. The estimate was $385 and the bill was $385.

We initially called Chase Plumbing for an estimate on various projects on the house we recently bought, including the replacing the heating system, water heater, and bathroom renovation. Ian was courteous, prompt, and patient with our questions and took the time to explain the different options. We haven't decided about the major projects yet, but were pleased with our initial experience and decided to call for some of the smaller projects we wanted to do. It was easy to contact Ian, both through phone and email, and schedule the time for the work to occur. Ian performed the work quickly while still taking time to talk with us about what he was doing. He is very good at what he does and we would definitely work with him again.

Overall it went well. They showed up on time, except I didn't hear the ring, so they left their card in the door. I called, and they returned and completed the work.

They will now become my preferred plumber. I don't wait to get billed as my former plumber did. I think he may be a little bit more expensive, but I don't know. However, he will quote the cost of the job exactly before he starts it. Curt finishes it promptly and I pay the man.

Ian Chisholm came quickly to assess the problem and gave us his verbal estimate immediately. He followed up with a written quotation, and once we accepted his proposal, he scheduled to do the work the following week. He showed up as promised, and completed the work in a few hours. He was very professional, explained the work done, and left the work area impecable. We highly recommend him for any plumbing work.

Ian is great -- very professional and courteous. Even though our plumbing problem was relatively small, he never seemed annoyed or impatient. He took time to explain all the options and recommendations, and was not pushy about any particular approach or repair. All in all, I highly recommend Chase.

I called this morning and Ian answered the phone. We had a leak under the sink that was running all night. Ian fit us in the same day and was able to diagnose and correct the problem. He also checked our outside faucets for leaks and a sink downstairs. Overall he spent about an hour here. Ian is very professional and I would definitely recommend him to any friend.
