Mr Fix It Plumbing

I broke the CPVC piping that was running from my water meter and supplied the rest of my house in my basement. I was able to turn it off before too much water was released but it shut the water down to both my unit and the other condo in the house. He came out first thing the next morning and assessed and found another leak in the lead piping that ran from the street to the water meter. He was very professional and patient, but did not want to do the work because of the lead pipe and the fact that he could not shut the water off from the street. After a call to Boston Water and Sewer, a torn up sidewalk, and a new copper pipe replacing the old lead pipe to the house, I called Dave and he said he would have no problem coming back after Boston Water and Sewer was done to connect the rest of the piping that runs from the meter to supply the house. Dave not only came back earlier in order to make sure BWSC did a good job, but replaced all the cheap CPVC piping with brass fittings and copper piping. He made the whole project clean and air tight. He even caught a small leak from the new fitting that Boston Water and Sewer put on, which they ended up fixing. Even the BWSC guys were impressed with how good of quality and quick Dave was. He has a new customer anytime we have plumbing issues in our condo units from now on.

He was amazing. There was constant communication then he followed up to be sure I got in touch with his recommended plumber.

He called right back and his response was good. The price was reasonable. He did come one time and did not charge me at all.

He was responsive. He's an "A" all the way through. I called him again for another job and he was overwhelmed with this so he wasn't able to come out so he's hard to get now.

Dave inspected the 3rd floor porch drain, inspected the pipe to which it drained in the basement; checked the roof to see if the water leakage into the lobby might be due to a roof problem; and confirmed what we had suspected -- that the pipe was corroded. Felt the lobby ceiling leak was a slow leak. Made a few inexpensive suggestions on how we might want to address it. Spent a good hour and wouldn't take any money. Would call him in a minute for any future plumbing problem. And he was nice o my dog Toby.

We had a broken / leaking downstairs hot water faucet, leaking upstairs faucet, and broken sprayer hose on the kitchen sink. I called Thursday and he came the next day (!) Friday. He diagnosed all problems quickly and in our best interest: 1. Upstairs faucet: not worth replacing at this time (though he would do it if we wanted to) 2. Downstairs faucet: dis-assembled, fixed, no issues since then. 3. Kitchen sink: needed to be replaced. 4. Pointed out some serious issues with the sink disposal that I hadn't noticed (but were totally legit when he showed it to me). He then went to the plumbing supply store, got the faucet we asked for, returned on Monday to replace it and fixed the faucet and disposal in about an hour. Great work, fast, professional. Everything works great. Very responsive over email and phone. Very reasonable pricing, excellent value. Next time I need a plumber I'm just calling him, no need to search.

They were prompt and professional and left the place cleaner than it was before. The charge was quite reasonable. I would use them again.

I went into my basement at about 9:00 a.m. this morning to find water all over the concrete floor coming from the hot water heater. I did a quick search on Angie's List and chose Mr. Fix It Plumbing because of its great reviews and location in my town. Spoke to David who told me I'd be hearing from Felix who'd be coming around 1:00 p.m. I let David know I was home in case Felix was ready to come earlier. At 10:30, Felix called and said he'd be by with a new hot water heater within the hour. He was, and he and another guy installed the new heater within an hour or two. In talking with Felix and looking at stickers on the old heater, it looked like the old heater might still be under warranty although I had failed to send in certain information I, apparently, was supposed to send in. Felix got involved and actually spoke with the manufacturer for me, finding out exactly what needed to be done for me to get reimbursed for the cost of the new heater. He then took the warranty information that I did have with him to the local distributor he deals with and somehow they worked it out so I'll be getting $400 back from the manufacturer. Talk about going above and beyond! So, I join the rest of the Angie's List reviewers in saying that Mr. Fix It Plumbing, and Felix in particular, are great and I will absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber.

Great! David is the best ! He is very professional, respects his customer, values other people time. We are grateful for a good job and a wonderful personality. He returned our call quickly and made an appointment as soon as possible. He gave us a reasonable quote. A new garbage disposal that we purchased at HD had a problem that was discovered later in the evening. We asked him to came one more time and reinstall it. It was done within a couple of days. I would highly recommend him for your projects.

He was very nice and very professional. He invited my two and a half year old son, who had taken an interest in what he was doing, to help him by telling him when the water started to drain. He was great all around. Definitely is my new plumber!

He arrived on time, moved quickly without hurry, polite, smiling, completed the install, explained the warranty of his labor and the hardware. Started at 11am, finished by 12. David; I HIGHLY recommend him.

He called 20" before his scheduled arrival time to let me know he was on his way, did not harass me about on street pkg, which is a new experience for me, and was very polite and professional. Once he unclogged the toilet, he brought the snake outside so as not to further dirty the area. He unclogged the drain with quickly and checked his work to make sure there were no leaks. he honored the 10% new customer discount, although I did not have the coupon available. Also, able to answer questions in a way that let you know he knows what he is doing. Overall, one of the best experiences with plumbers I've had. Would use him again.

The plumbers arrived on-time, explained to me what they were going to do, replaced the water heater, and reviewed all they had done after about two hours.

VERY good experience with David. Not only is he super easy and pleasant to talk to, extremely punctual and responsive, his work and craftsmanship are also very good. Everything looked super and works well. Even though we didn't shop around for the little few things we needed to get done, we felt that what he ended up charging was very reasonable. What a great experience everything you reed in the previous reviews is true, he showed up on time, was very patient with all my questions and is a very nice guy. Since this was not the type of fix he would do he didn't charge me for the visit and gave me a referral to a company that can fix it. I will defiantly use him in the future for any plumbing problem I have.

I found David on Angie's List. He was responsive to my calls, answering the phone himself every time. He came to my house to assess my leaky kitchen faucet. He looked to see if he could simply repair the existing faucet, and when that didn't work, he told me exactly what kind of faucet to buy. He didn't charge for his initial visit, and came back promptly to replace the entire faucet. While he was at the house, I also asked him to give me an estimate to replace the faucet and washing machine shut-offs in my basement. Another plumber had told me I needed to replace a whole section of piping. David gave me a very reasonable estimate ($170), again told me what to buy, and said he'll come back to do that repair.

Great. Explained what he was going to do and why, was responsive with a quote soon after his visit, did a great job, and as mentioned above, he also threw in for free a fix to my kitchen sink's poorly designed gas trap, which was very nice.

I called at 7am expecting to get an answering machine and instead immediately got David. We agreed on a time for him to come out and he answered all my probably quite daft first time home-owner with a problem questions (eg how to turn the water off!). He called 2 hours prior to the appointment to reconfirm which was great. He arrived right when he said he would and, with zero hassle to me, quickly replaced the water heater. The work was done neatly, he cleaned up afterwards and I found the entire transaction easy and stress-free and David himself very pleasant to deal with. The price was great, especially as I really needed hot water and so was not in the position to be "shopping around" he could have charged much higher but instead was upfront and reasonable. In a couple of years I will probably go to tankless simply as I want to re-arrange how the basement is laid out, and when I have that work done I have no doubt I will call David at Mr Fix-it Plumbing to have the work done.
