Great! He returned our call quickly and made an appointment as soon as possible. He had to get some parts, but had a low-anxiety attitude and fixed "everything" for a low price. He gave us reasonable advice with no pressure.

A gem of a guy. Arrived about 10 minutes ahead of schedule and called to let me know (instead of just surprising me and showing up at the door). David did a thorough analysis of all possible problems - all to avoid unnecessary work. He tried and was unable to replicate the cause of the leak (ran the shower head, ran the bath faucet, filled and drained the tub, flushed the toilet, etc.). A good thing, since he was able to rule out plumbing as the problem. Ultimately, he was confident the floor got wet during a guest's shower (noticing that the shower curtain was too high) and pointed out a couple of vulnerable, but not very noticeable spots in the corners around the tub that were likely where water pooled and got through. He concluded that the situation did not warrant opening up the ceiling and assured and convinced me (a true worry wart) that it was fine to leave things as they are, and to even use the bathroom as much as possible for the next few days to see if the problem could recur and, therefore, offer the chance to more definitively pinpoint the source of the problem. I'm relieved and thrilled with David as a professional and person of integrity. I now have my own (post-construction) plumber!

We had a leak in the gas valve of our boiler which the utility company had to come and shut off. We called 6 plumbers that day and David was the only one to respond. He said he could be there by 9am and appeared at our door at 8:30. Within an hour, David had the leaky valve replaced. Great service at a great price too. Will definitely use Mr Fix-It again.

The drain for the bathroom tub kept backing up. Called Mr Fix-It and told him my problem. He said he was totally booked for the day but explained that I didn't need a plumber and should look for a company that cleans drains. Excellent advise. Signed back on to the list and found a company with that expertise.

The service was good. David was very punctual, easy to get along with and was very responsive. The price was accurate and did a good job.

I thought that he did a very good job. He was quick, diligent, and knew what he was doing. He came back a week later after I called him and cut the screws down ont he toilet so the caps would fit.

David is so responsive. I called once when we had some leaking from upstairs coming into our bathroom and he came to look at it for us. At that visit, he just gave us an evaluation, no services, but he was responsive and nice enough that I called him when we recently needed the shower drain cleaned. Again, so responsive and came out quickly (even though it wasn't an emergency). He was fast and gave me other helpful info about our shower (how to turn it on/off so it wouldn't break and require total replacement, which he had seen recently). He's a really nice guy, professional and prompt. I highly recommend him.

We used the Heat Loan to get funds to replace our 12 year old water heater which was failing. In order to be able to apply for the loan we had to have a specific water heater 0.67EF. Mr Fix-it plumbing picked up the water heater I specified from Lowes. They delivered and installed the new water heater in our basement. They also removed and hauled away the old water heater. I used them before and will continue to use them.

Was great - showed up on time (actually, a few minutes early), had me show him the work to be done to refresh his memory (he had been out a few weeks prior to give an estimate), had all the right parts to do the job, worked quickly and efficiently, explained what he was doing and why, cleaned up as he went. Great.

David was great - I called him Friday night and he came out Sunday morning. He was willing to come Sat AM if urgent. The leak was in a tough-to-get-at spot, and David didn't seem to get frustrated, just figured out what would need to happen and then took care of it

We are mid kitchen renovation, so the bathroom sink is our only sink, and when we woke up one morning it was randomly clogged. I tried plunging to no avail, so I called Mr Fix-It and they were able to come about two hours later. He did a great job, and I'm happy with the service, I just am always surprised how much it costs for 10 minutes of work... To be fair other plumbers gave me much higher quotes, so I think he is priced well.

He was willing to come by on a Sunday, arrived early, and fixed the problem easily. This is my second time working with David, and in both instances he was the consummate professional. I wholeheartedly recommend him!

David (Mr Fix-it) did an outstanding job at a great price. He replaced a 30 foot length section of cast iron sewer pipe in the basement that was both cracked and deteriorated due to age - at least 70 years old. The exact location of broken sewer pipe had been previously determined from a video inspection by Drains by James. The broken section of sewer pipe was located in a very difficult place to access. It ran inside a chase wall, underneath an egress stairs, then underneath a brick bearing wall, and continued below the basement furnace room concrete floor slab, directly below the hot water tank and heating furnace. It would be extremely expensive to replace the pipe in its current location, so David suggested rerouting the pipes along the basement corridor ceiling, into the furnace room and reconnecting back to the undamaged sewer line below the floor slab. This was an excellent solution because it involved minimal demolition. It would save thousands of dollars and avoid demolition to the stairs and bearing wall, as well as possible relocation of the hot water heater and furnace. Aesthetically exposing the pipe line along the basement corridor ceiling was perfectly fine, since it blended in with the existing exposed ductwork and water pipes. A work took only (1) day. The cost was extremely reasonable. Mr Fix-it cleaned up beautifully - you would never know there had been any construction work at all. Another job well done.

I called around at about 11 am on a Tuesday and they said they'd send someone at 12:30. The guy showed up early. Very fast turnaround. He tested a few things and found that the valve in the basement had been turned off - probably by the appliance installers. Showed it to me, flushed the pipe of dirt / rust, and waited around for me to test the washer just to make sure it worked. There was no BS, completely open and honest - a less scrupulous plumber could have replaced the valve or other things, but there was none of that here. They charged $60 for the service call (less 10% Angie's List coupon so $54 net) - most will do that and it's reasonable for them to be compensated for their time even if it's just a quick visit, but I've know plumbers that charged twice that just for a service call - so these guys are a good deal. Sometimes you don't know whether a problem will turn out to be major or minor, so it's nice to know that the minimum charge is reasonably low. I will definitely call these guys again if I need a plumber.

David and his helper arrived and got right to work fixing three toilets! They replaced a toilet on my third floor and installed a new Toto one I had ordered on line. They also replaced the flush valve in my powder room with a high efficiency gadget I had purchased at Costco so now my 3 gal. flush only uses either .5 gal or 1.6 gal. of water. Also David replaced a flapper in my basement toilet that had been slow to flush. They did excellent work. They were efficient and knowledgeable. All three jobs were completed inside of an hour. I would not hesitate to call Mr. Fix it in the future!

Everything went perfectly. David showed up on time with a helper because it was a two person job. iT was hard to remove the existing water heater because it had to be accessed through a small closet at the top and was in a very tight closet. He removed the door to complete the job. I think builder must have built the closet around the heater after installing it and still don't know how David managed to get it out. Not a drop of water on my new hardwood floors. Not a scratch. David and his worker were extremely sensitive to making sure they did not disturb anything in my house. They took time and care cleaning it up. It was a pleasure to work with David. I plan to work with him again on a bathroom remodel job in the near future.

It went well, he was 8-10 mts early which is always a surprise and a good one. he did a throrough job and was clear about what could be done short and long-term.

He is very good. He has a few people on staff. They are professional and his pricing is extremely good. I referred him to two work colleagues and they both liked his work.

In my 4-story Brookline brownstone apartment building during the holiday weekend (Patriot's Day), a slow steady water drip was discovered coming down the kitchen ceiling of my 2nd floor apartment unit. When I checked the apartment units on the 3rd and 4th floor apartments directly above. I could not find a water leak, and none of my tenants had taken a shower that day (which is usually the cause of past water leaks, when a tenant accidentally leaves the shower curtain open). I temporarily used buckets to contain the water and called David on a emergency basis. He came early Sunday morning, immediately discovered the problem in the 4th floor bathroom toilet bowl valve, and replaced the valve in no time. I had missed it, because the drip seeped through the floor in back of the toilet, so the bathroom floor appeared perfectly dry. David just charged me his regular rate because I use him on a regular basis.The reason why I use him on a regular basis is because he always resolves the problem correctly and efficiently, always charges me a reasonable rate, and most of all I can always depend on him in regular and emergency situations.

This is the second time that I've called David to deal with leaking toilets. Both times, David responded promptly and solved the problems. I don't know when I've had such an easy time arranging for work in the three decker that my elderly mother's owns. He calls when he says he will. If his situation changes, he lets you know. It's such a pleasure to work with him.
