Description of Work: Mr. Fix It was extremely responsive. He came to fix a leaking toilet and ended up replacing the Flange. He was quick, efficient, thorough, and very reasonable.

Description of Work: water dripping from condensation line in central a/c, diagnosed problem and came back to install new pvc pipe. David is very prompt and professional.

Description of Work: I emailed 4 places I randomly found on Angie's and David was the first one to reply, within a few hours. It was a Friday and he was able to come see the problem on Sunday (Saturday was attending a course). He was on time and spend over half hour evaluating a leak situation across two apartments - this involved seeing both and coordinating with the owners of both places. It was quickly determined that the leak was old and thus there was no service right now to perform, yet David stayed a bit longer and answered our numerous questions about possible past scenarios and future ones -- will the leak happen again? etc. He did not charge for this time which I appreciated. I am definitely keeping his information for this or other plumbing problems arise. He seems reliable and is friendly, punctual and fair.

Description of Work: David responded to my initial email, and all follow up questions within minutes. He showed up on time, and on a Sunday for no extra charge. He was courteous and professional and successfully unclogged our bathtub drain for a reasonable sum.

Description of Work: David came over within an hour of my calling him on a Saturday. He gave me a very fair quote and agreed to do the work later in the week. It was a harder job than we both expected (installing a Flood Stop on my washing machine and a pan) that involved an extra trip to the plumbing supply store. Since I had a plumber in my house I had him fix two other things including an outside drain and an adjustment on the temperature of the shower water. At the end I expected to pay for these additional services but he refused to let me. He was very polite, cleaned up perfectly, was respectful of my home, and a good guy to work with. He is a second generation plumber so nothing he hash't seen I plan to use him again on another project.

Description of Work: In my 5-unit brownstone apartment building, a strong odor of feces and urine started developing from inside the walls of my back stairways on the ground floor, and also at the corner of the adjacent basement furnace room. No waste material was visible - the odor seemed to be emanating from inside the walls. Since these areas are located below my first floor tenant's bathroom, I speculated that perhaps their toilet wax ring had deterioriated and was leaking. I asked David to look at it. When David inspected the situation, he immediantly concluded that there was a leak in the sewer pipe line, probably due to a crack somewhere between the bottom of the vertical waste stack and the horizontal line that ran below the basement concrete floor. In order to pin point the location of the crack, he recommended that I hire a pipe inspection company which used video camera equipment. The pipe inspection company "Drains by James" was able to locate a small crack in the sewer pipe by snaking a camera through my tenant's toilet. In the process, they were also able to remove a grease clog that was causing a backup of waste in the basement floor pipe run (I am told due to tenants pouring grease down their kitchen sinks). By removing the grease clog, the strong feces/urine odor was temporarily eliminated. David's diagnosis of the odor problem was correct, and his recommendation for locating the crack in the sewer pipe by using a pipe inspection company was the right move. He did not charge me for his consultation, and I will be scheduling with him a future date to replace the 80-year-old cracked sewer pipe in my basement.

Description of Work: We phoned Friday evening, and an appointment was made for the next morning, Saturday. The drain was cleaned and drained. The work was efficiently and effectively done. I would definitely use him again, and I have recommended him.
