Mike came to the house three times--first to do the estimate--and he was about 25% less that everyone else. My antenna went up when I saw this, because I thought it meant either cheap materials or shoody work. Neither was the case. His second time was to measure and the third was to re-measure after I made a change. The only issue waas we originally talked about doing it in early June adn the work got done three weeks late. I guess that's because others are demanding his services...he was very honest about the delays and I would certainly hire him again. The fence is beautiful and the craftsmanship top notch.

We had Mike's fence come out for an estimate to remove an old wooden fence and replace with a vinyl fence. He was very nice, took down all the measurements. He gave us a very good price on what he described as the mid-range Kroy vinyl fence. I specifically asked him to explain the different levels of fence. Again, he told me the fence he planned on using was the mid-grade fence from Kroy. He sent me an email a few days latter with the price indicating it was for Kroy Classic fence. This is the low end fence from Kroy, not the mid-level. I emailed him back first thing in the morning. At about 9 pm that night I called his phone number. He told me he never said anything about there being three lines of Kroy vinyl fence. He said I was mistaken and that he could go back and get a new quote with the higher level of fence. With this, I told Mike I do not think we will be able to do business.

It was a pleasure working with Mike Badger. He was always prompt to show up whether giving the initial quote, delivering the materials and performing the installation and responding to any repairs due to weather-related damage issues. His price was the most reasonable that we had obtained but the quality was there as well. We have recommended Mike to others and would not hesitate t do so in the future. A most satisfying experience.

I was so amazed when I got home, I was so happy with my fence.

Mike is a fence instaler not a salesman. He routinly does fence instals for some major fence companies south of Boston but also takes on jobs on his own. He was $4,000 dollars lower than the next lowest quote and I got the same materials and a good instal. The first time I met Mike was after the job was done and I wrote him the check which was for the exact amount quoted. We did the rest on the phone.

Overall just great. I changed the footprint on him, after forgetting what we'd agreed to, and Mike was very accommodating. So it took a little longer, but his adjusted pricing was very reasonable, and I was extremely happy with the results. He did an awesome job. We probably should have discussed latches in better detail up front, but that's on me -- I wasn't thinking too much ahead, and he came up with a good solution. Only quibble is butts left in the work area - why does anybody leave those for the guy who pays you to pick up?

Overall everything went very smoothly. Mike and another worker came on the day and time we had scheduled and was done in a few hours.

Mike was great! Very helpful with difficult neighbors. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

Mike came to give me a quote on a Saturday, and took careful measurements. He called me the next day with a quote, which he'd told me he'd do, and he gave me a lot of detail on exactly what went into the quote - material cost, labor, etc. I agreed to the price, and he said he'd build most of the fence off-site though there were sections he'd need to build when he came to install. We expected the work to be done in about 2 weeks but there was a rainy spell, so it was probably 3 weeks before he could come. We scheduled this for a Friday, and he showed up as expected, and with 2 helpers. They worked all day to complete the fence, and did an incredible job - the fence looks great, and they took care not to leave a mess in my or my neighbor's yards. Another thing I greatly appreciated about Mike is that he refused my offer of a deposit, and told me he doesn't expect payment until I'm completely satisfied, which of course I was. I would definitely recommend Mike and his crew. By the way, Mike's crew member gave me some great advice, which was to use aluminum roof flashing as a buffer between the fence and a raised plant bed, which I did.

Mike said that he quoted us a lower than he had intended, and indeed his quote was substantially less than the other quotes that we got ($1000+ less). He did not use quite a fancy a technique for attaching to some stone, but everything used proper material and was done promptly and cleanly and we had no issues of any kind.

Mike made the appointment with me and showed up on time. My yard is not that big and the quotes ranged from $1900 - $4400. Mike's was the lowest. I went with him in the first place because he got such a good review on Angie's List. Mike installed the fence in 2 days. The first day he installed the posts. The cement dried for a day and he finished up the next day. He also moved rocks that had fallen from the rock wall and moved a wood pile. He went above and beyond in my opinion and did not charge me more. He also switched out the fabric of the existing fence between my neighbor and my yard. He even painted the gray posts black! I would highly recommend Mike for any fencing needs you may have!

Mike installed this fence, brand-new, in 2006. Mike fixed it within a week, and was much less expensive than the other estimate. Bravo, Mike!

He was very good at responding to phone calls, and I never had to chase him down. When he said he would be there, he was there and on time. He was also very reasonably priced and knowledgeable. The only reason I haven't used him yet is because another major project came up, but I will definitely use him in the future.

Was very responsive and returned call quickly. Gave an estimate and presented different options. Arrived on time and did work quickly, and within time period said at estimate. All in all, everything I could have asked for.

Overall it was a good experience with a couple of minor hiccups. Mike called and after initially setting up a visit to the house to price out the project he canceled and instead gave me a quote over the phone. The quote he gave was great and really the only issue I had before installation was that he was sometimes a little difficult to get hold of. We had our installation moved around a couple times (once due to weather)and I was the one who had to call him to verify when the work would actually be done. One the day of the installation, he was very courteous and helped me to remove some debris from behind where the fence was going up. He also showed me how to install some privacy slats and in general was very good and the fence looks great. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I thought he had said he would remove the old chain link that was taken down, and when I got home it was still in the middle of my yard and I now have to figure out how to dispose of it.

Mr. Badger took his time explaining his business and how he would install the fencing while giving an estimate. He gave a great quote on the stockade fencing I requested and showed me why I should do another section, including a gate--not in a hard sell way, but just so I would realize that if I left a small job for later instead of combining it with the initial job, I would pay extra later, no matter who did the fencing. Mr. Badger was flexible in scheduling and when it raining the Saturday of the install, he came on Monday, when I would have expected to be pushed back later. The install was flawless. Mr. Badger came with two crew members and everything was done: tear-down, new fence installed, and clean-up in about seven hours. The fence is solid and beautiful, the neighbors pleased, I was shown how to use the gate and was told that if the gate had a problem, he had a fix and would return for free. The cost was the estimate price and my yard cleaner than before he came.

Mike had both the best price and the best service. What he said he would do; he did. He stayed well past dark one night to make sure that my gates were installed, which I really appreciated b/c I have a dog, and I need a secure fence.

Overall experience was very good. Mike is a gentleman, and his prices are fair. He is a small vendor who takes pride in the fact that his overhead is limited, therefore he can pass on the saving to his customers.

HE FINISHED THE WORK IN THE TIMELY MANNER. HE WAS ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE MY REQUEST TO LEAVE NO OPEN AREAS BETWEEN WORK DAYS SO THAT MY DOGS WOULD ALWAYS BE ENCLOSED IN THE YARD.
