Mike's Fence

Mike is great! He showed up within a day or two to give me an estimate, and finished the work within the week. My fence had been squashed by a falling tree limb, and both fence (chain link) and a couple of (horizontal) poles and a (vertical) post needed to be replaced.

It went well. This was the second job we hired Mike to do. Both jobs were pretty involved and took a while to complete. Lots of rocks to contend with, and lots of heavy posts and rails to install. Mike is pretty easy-going and pleasant to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to call on him again.

I can't say enough about Mike and his crew. They arrived when they said they would and because the area was finished they performed the work so you did not even know it was just done, the area was spotless when they left. Also I had an extra vinyl panel and asked if they could put it next to house as a wind shield, they said yes, all that was needed was an extra end post. When it arrived they were there the next day to install. This was a wonderful experience! I never write a review, but I had to this time they were THAT GOOD A+++++. I"m not a friend (we are now) or relative, got his name from the fencing company, best reference ever. You could not go wrong hiring this company, you'll be glad you did. If this sounds like too many accolades it is well deserved. Thanks Mike!

Working with Mike was great from start to finish, and even after the fact. First, Mike and his son came out to take measurements and take a look at our yard in order to provide an estimate. He did so and gave us a breakdown of both a wooden fence and a vinyl fence estimate. He even split the cost between the sides of the yard and the back of the yard so we could share with our neighbors as one had mentioned splitting the cost of one side. When we finally scheduled Mike to come out (our delay, not his) he was always very professional. We met Mike and his crew on the first morning of work to make sure everything was ready to go but then left them to work. When we arrived home later that day, we had half a new fence. Two days later, the entire thing was finished. There was a delay with our gates from the manufacturer, and then a rain delay, but Mike promptly hung the gates as soon as he could. It's worth noting that our backyard is not flat, contains ledge and part of the fence had to go into a retaining wall with steel posts. Not the easiest space to work in. Mike explained the challenges, what the finished fence would look like and how he would work around the issues. Everything is as described and we are pleased with the outcome. The work was finished in late September, but in February, one section came loose in the winter wind. I contacted Mike on a Saturday via email and heard back from him the same day. He came to fix the fence on Monday and reinforce the joint that had come apart.

He did it on time and it looks terrific. I highly recommend him.

Mike and his crew did an amazing job installing my fence. He first came out and provided me a free quote which he stuck to. He was able to squeeze my job in earlier than expected due to another cancellation which I greatly appreciated. His work is top notch. What sets him apart from most other contractors, is his communication skills. He was always very punctual in returning my calls if I had any questions. He and his crew were very polite and courteous and did a fantastic job cleaning up when the job was done. I couldn't be happier with the end result. I will definitely recommend and use him for all my future fencing needs.

4 workers came out. The interaction with them was great. They were pretty prompt, they were a B grade prompt, not an A grade. They were fantastic, they picked up everything. Communications weren't as good as they should have been. Sometimes delays weren't communicated, and it took them a while to come out and install the order, and when they came to install the pickets were all wrong, so they had to remove them and had the manufacturer cut them again, so they took care of it, but it was just an extra step.

Mike is very friendly and called us right back. He came when he said he would, did a quality job, and his prices are fair. All in all, it was a good experience. If you have any fencing needs, I would highly recommend this company.

Mike arrived when scheduled for estimate meeting. He was very professional. He delivered as promised. The amount that was estimated was exactly what was charged. My neighbors have given many complements regarding Mikes work. I still have 1 side of the fence that needs to be replaced and I will be contacting him again

Great service, reasonable prices, great job

I received 4 quotes for the job. Mike gave us the least expensive quote and has subsequently installed a great fence for us. We paid 50% to the supply company at order and 50% upon completion of the job. You are not paying for advertising or a retail shop with Mike - just the cost of supplies and labor for a few guys to install. Mike is a very good guy who has clearly been doing this a long time. He was always responsive, punctual and professional with us and we greatly appreciate it.

Mike came to look at the job and emailed an estimate within 2 days. His estimate was considerably less than another estimate we got. He gave us an approximate time when he could do the job, and did it within a week of his estimated time. The fence was professionally installed, and he accommodated a couple of changes we decided to make from when he gave us the estimate. He told us how much extra this would cost, and he charged us exactly what was estimated; no surprises. He left our yard clean, with very minimal damage from the installation. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone needing a fence.

Mike came to give me a price when he said he would, and his estimate on the spot was basically what he ended up charging me. The job was done on time, and he did a good, clean job. Two years later I am just calling him again to add a new part to our fence. I would recommend it to everyone.

One side of my 8-year old Cedar stockade fence fell down last winter. It looks very good and they really did a fine job. It was all completed in less than one day. They removed the old wood, all the trash and cleaned up my yard perfectly. I would use them again, and also will recommend them to everyone!!!

Did the job for a much better price than we had been quoted by another 'bigger' fencing company. Will absolutely call him in the future.

Mike was significantly cheaper than the other 3 quotes and a much nicer guy to boot. He installed the side fence on the planned date and hauled away our old broken down fence. There were no issues whatsoever. I would highly recommend Mike to family and friends.

From beginning to end Mike Badger was a pleasure to deal with. He was knowledgeable, helpful in designing the replacement fence., provided all we asked for and did so at a cost lower than the other two companies we contacted. He was very professional and handled his crew with skill. Once the arrangements were made they completed the work in one day within the week he cited.

It went wonderful. Mike was 2,000-5,000 lower than any of the 3 other quotes I received, much like the other reviews said. I even spoke to him about the way they said they were going to install the fence vs what his plan was and he walked me through why he does it the way he does and ever aspect of the job. After I purchased the material it was delivered to my house and they showed up in 2 days and finished the fence in 3-4 days. They were all professional and took care of any landscaping issues that came and cleared alot of the yard....this is something landscapers said they would charge me 300 for and other fence companies said would be extra to clear, Mike and his team did not charge extra for this. The fence went up perfectly and looks better than I could have hoped. It adds so much brightness to the property and makes the house stand out. There were only 2 hiccups, neither of them Mikes fault at all. The weather caused the job to be delayed....we live in new england, it gets wet a lot sometimes, I had no issue with this although it seemed that Mike was worried I did. The second was the gate, there was an issue with it not being built with the order and then it took some time for it to be made, again not Mikes fault as he is not the manufacture. Mike has actually come back to check and adjust the gate as well as discussed ways to fill in the gaps between the ground and the gate so our new dog cannot escape. He is actually replacing the gate on my mothers fence after she saw how well our fence came out. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone in need of a fence without breaking the bank.

Mike was very professional. He provided us with a timely quote and was responsive to all of our questions in subsequent emails and phone calls. Unfortunately he was unable to complete the work until later in the summer since he has a smaller team. Ultimately we chose a larger company because they were able to begin the project sooner. However we would have no reservations calling Mike in the future for another project.

The price is very good and reasonable , he is timely and kind. I can not say enough good things about him. He has a real good knowledge of fencing.

We found him on Angie's List. My experience with him was excellent. When he came we thought we were going to have three places to install the fence and he said no I would not do that I would only replace the posts, and we will get another five years out of this. So, he was very good. He came exactly when he said he was going to. He did a nice job. He talked us out to doing certain things.

Everything went as expected and the job was completed in a timely manner with no surprises.
