We were very pleased with Socelvic. The manager Celio Vicente runs a very smooth operation. He is personable, friendly, and reasonable. He also seems a very good manager, since the people on his crew look happy, seem to enjoy doing the work, and do it very efficiently. Both Celio and Michele, at the office, answer queries quickly and follow up on all matters without delay. The price was reasonable and the whole job was done in six days, from start to finish. The house exterior was sanded, primed, and given two coats of paint. There was good attention to detail. There was also carpentry work, fixing all kinds of rotted wood. This was carefully done improving the look of the house considerably. We were all in all very pleased and we think the house looks great.

We are extremely pleased with Solcelvic. Communication was excellent. The house was scraped, primed, painted and team courteious. (We have a shared driveway with traffic) They were efficient and daily clean up impeccable. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Very nice work, rotten shingles and trims replaced. Bottom foot of garage trim cut and replaced with wood alternative. It was a complicated molding ( 5 different geometries) and it was matched beautifully. Once painted, the seam was hardly noticeable.

The job was very good. We paid by the hour and the guys worked very fast and professionally. There was a long gap between putting down our deposit and the work starting.

Company owner (Celio) showed up at appointed time, perused the house and said he would send estimate within a few days. Estimate arrived as promised. I felt price was fair and agreed to arrange start date upon my return from overseas trip. Two man crew (Wanderson & Carlos) showed up on day agreed and worked until job was finished (1 wk). Prep and painting was thoroughly done. The crew was professional, polite, efficient and neat. They wanted to make sure I was satisfied and that I approved of their work. The owner showed up several times to pick up payment installments and was very accommodating, friendly and easy-going. He wanted to make sure I was satisfied with work and asked that I notify him should I notice anything left out and assured me they would return to accommodate me. There was no need to call them back. Celio should be very pleased with his men.

We are interested in having the exterior of our house painted. Mr Vincente performed a thorough inspection; then prepared a carefully detailed proposal which showed the work to be done, step by step. The proposal was prepared within the week. The contractor seemed to have a good understanding of the repair work which would be required during the preparation for painting. In the end, we'd received three excellent bids for nearly the same amount. We chose to go with one of the others, but feel we would have also been happy customers with Socelvic.

Celio Vicente submitted a very competitive proposal for the work. When his office called to schedule the work, it would have been after we left for vacation so he moved ahead, brought on 2 carpenters and was able to complete the work ahead of schedule. The job looks great and Celio was very responsive. The final cost was below his estimate, which was also a nice result. We are completely satisfied and are considering him for other work.

Celio Vicente and his team at Socelvic did an excellent job building my deck. The property is a former estate converted to condominiums. It is a beautiful old house built about 100 years ago. The goal was to rebuild the existing deck and meet the quality of the original construction. To keep costs down, I wanted to reuse some of the original millwork where possible. In selecting a contractor, I focused on three things: quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. Solcelvic has all three. The team did exceptional work. When we discovered that many of the existing balusters could not be reused, Celio found someone who could custom mill new ones for a good price. The quality of everything was first rate. Socelvic was very reliable and kept the building inspectors on schedule and the project on track. The company wasn't the least expensive contractor that bid for the work, but their price was very reasonable. I am very pleased with the work and with the people who did it. They are artists. The people who originally built this house many years ago are smiling.

The job went well. The cement floor of our very old garage was cracked and uneven, and it was sagging in one spot. There also was a crack in the exterior foundation. The workers tore up and removed approximately 5 inches of the old cement for the entire floor, then put in a new cement floor. The floor is now very smooth and even. They also repaired the exterior crack. The workers were friendly and polite. We were very pleased with the outcome.

The job went well. The garage is very old and hadn't been painted in many years. The old paint was chipping off, and there were still remnants of ivy vines that had apparently once climbed on the sides. So there was a lot of prep work to be done. The painters were very thorough and did a great job. All of the workers were polite and friendly and very responsive to our questions and concerns. We were very pleased with the outcome.

After waiting over 6 weeks for the work to start (The estimate and intial quote said work would start 2 weeks after deposit was sent) they arrived and completed the work in 2 very long days. We are pretty happy with the work however, the team left a number of areas in need of touch up and also left behind garbage. We contacted the company and they came back and did the touch up work and removed the garbage. Overall there are a number of areas where the repair work was done so-so or not at all but the deck looks about 10x better than before and we can now enjoy it with our family.

This was part of a larger job. They did a nice job and even washed the shed even though it wasn't part of the agreement. A nice surprise.

Celio's team came when they said they would and did excellent work. They worked long days to finish in a timely manner. Very pleasant to work with.

He is very good. He does porches, home repairs, additions and painting. He is highly rated on Angie's List. He was good at explaining what needed to be done. He gave us good estimates. He was on time. I felt comfortable after reviewing Angie's List and talking to him in person. He knew what he was doing and I felt that he could get the job done. He had an excellent carpenter as the project leader. He showed up almost every day to look at the progress of the job. I would use him again. They ran into a couple of issues. Our deck was kind of differently diagonal in two locations. It needed a lot of cut in the angles. The guy who did the cuts was unbelievable and he matched up everything. It is basically seamless. We had a couple of other estimates and he wasn’t the cheapest.

o do We were preparing to sell our house and wanted to paint the house in advance of selling it. In addition, we needed to do some spot repair work to portions of the siding (one of the sides of our house is south facing and bakes in the sun pretty much year round). The Socelvic team came out a day or two after contacting them to look at our house and provide an estimate on what it was going to take to do the work. They were very responsive, understood what we wanted done, provide their perspective on what we needed to get done, etc. Since we were planning to sell the house we talked about timing (when we wanted work done so we could list) and we talked about the desire not to reside the house but to tackle the trouble areas (vast majority of the house was in quite good shape) and then give the entire house and trim a fresh coat of paint. They provided their estimate the next day. The estimate was very complete and met our expectations in terms of the work we needed done. The pricing was also consistent with quotes we got from other providers. Unfortunately, our schedules did not align well. They were not going to be able to get to the work in a time frame that was going to enable us to list our house when we wanted to. Had schedules aligned better we probably would have worked with the Socelvic team.

We used Socelvic for exterior painting and deck replacement. We contacted a few contractors for two projects and ended up using Socelvic for both. We liked the fact that Celio, the owner, seemed to really understand our needs and tried to provide good value for the quote. His quote was in the middle of the pack, but since we're always wary of the lowest bidder, we were comfortable with his pricing. The painting crew was extremely professional. They did a thorough job doing the prep work, which included scraping, power washing, sanding and cauking, priming before painting. They taped up the windows and took care when removing the downspouts and shutters. The took care with our plants and even told us to park further away in case the wind blew paint across the entire front lawn onto our cars! When all was done, I couldn't find any drops of paint on the plants or sidewalk. The paint job, which was supposed to be a straightforward project, ended up costing us over $2000 extra because of rut near some windows and gutter/fascia boards. The carpenters, who also rebuilt our deck, worked nonstop and did not slow down even though they were on hourly charges. Their work was top notch. Even though we paid extra, we felt it was worth it for their workmanship. In the end, we were very pleased with Socelvic company. We will not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

We are very pleased with the work performed by Socelvic. We contacted several contractors to replace the wooden deck. The first impression was that Celio, the owner, was very personable and easy to work with. His quote fell in the middle of the pack, but we clearly felt we would get the best value for the price. In deciding what material to use and what needed to be replaced or not, we could tell that he was trying to work out the best solution for us, and not trying to find a reason to lay extra charges. After working out a few extra details, we ended up picking his firm. Once we knew that he wouldn't charge extra labor for using Azek over pressured treated wood (most contractors did), we picked that option. We signed the contract with Socelvic on a Thursday, and were pleasantly surprised when his crew showed up the next Tuesday (we fully expected that it might take a couple of months). The two-person crew was very professional, working nonstop, and took time to clean up each night. Needless to say, when everything was done a week later, we were very happy with the results. We love our new deck! Better yet, when all was said and done, there was virtually no cost overruns. The labor was exactly as agreed to. The materials costs were fully inventoried and were just $400 more than the initial estimate. We also like the fact that Socelvic accepts credit card charges for the full amount. This is a BIG stress reducer when you deal with a new contractor as you can dispute the charges if they don't show up or don't finish. We never had any payment issues with them, so it was a great experience all around. Thank you Celio and Michele.

We are very pleased with the work that was completed. They completely repainted our peeling garage, did some much needed chalking and small repairs and were neat, clean, punctual and thorough. We would use them again.

We were VERY pleased with this company from start to finish. Celio was flexible with us in scheduling our quote and came out a second time to answer some general questions. We did get another quote from a highly rated AL vendor and Socelvic's was significantly cheaper for the same work. They scheduled us quickly, stayed on the budget, and finished the whole project in three and a half days! They worked until almost 7:30 each night and the quality looks great. We'll have to see how it holds up, but I do not anticipate any issues. Additionally, the team was polite and professional. They lead person was lovely and answered all of our questions and talked us through any concerns we had during the project. Finally, they were very neat and clean and you really can't tell that they were there at all except our deck looks a whole lot differently than it did a few weeks ago. Celio came several times throughout the project to make sure things were on track and then came back a last time to make sure we were totally happy. AND...they even returned some of the unused materials and took it off of our final bill. I would certainly use them again and have already told friends how pleased we were.

They were $4,000 over their original quote for the actual work that was done. The paint is already peeling and they provided service in October. I have to call them to actually replace certain shingles that I asked them to make sure it was replaced. The workmen were very polite and amazing, but the quality is not good. At first the work looked fine, but as time went on, the quality is poor. Their punctuality is good, they were on time, but responsiveness was poor. It took a long time to get ahold with them and to communicate back and forth. I won't use them again after they finish everything.

I attempted to contact this contractor both via their website and by phone. It has been three weeks since initial contact and one week since my last phone call. I have not heard back. Even if they contact me at this point I would not use this contractor as I worry that they will be equally non responsive throughout the building process.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. We never had any services rendered and I ended up getting a refund for the Big Deal. They had advertised for the carpenter and handyman service with really no fine print. I had a list of odd jobs which seemed to be very straightforward carpentry and handyman, but their abilities were definitely not in line with what seemed to be a carpenter/handyman job. They were mostly available to hanging pictures and these are very minor things. Unfortunately there was a lot of back and forth, a lot of physical and scheduling, and it's just that they really were not able to perform what seems to be basic carpentry/handyman thing. We went back and forth and then finally I just got the refund. They were certainly very polite and friendly.

Went very well. Front entrance looks great.

Workers were very careful and precise. Results were excellent.
