Socelvic did an excellent job start to finish they started sooner than planned & finished on time. Their work is top quality they report quickly to fix a problem.

They were recommended on Angies list at that time. I think they did a good job. What I didn’t like so much about them was that a number of their workers spoke no English so there were times when I had questions about what they plan to do about this or that and I would approach one of their workers and they would just shrug their shoulders indicating that they didn’t speak. One of their managers eventually came by and answered all my questions. They were a few little things that weren’t perfect but they weren’t major.

They didn't try to sell me something when they weren't sure what the problem was. I liked that they were very honest about not knowing what the problem was. They weren't going to charge me. They gave me a referral and that person was able to find the problem. When we have used them, they have been great.

We used Socelvic for interior painting -- twice -- and exterior painting. They mostly did a good job, but left significant portions unfinished. In particular, the exterior windowsills were not scraped first, and our screens no longer fit. They also disappeared for months at a time, and did not return calls at times. The first interior painting went very well, but based on the later experiences we won't be using them again.

9/23/13 Update.... No problems with paint job...still looks great. Original Review Below: Excellent job! A breath of fresh air. During the past several years I have seen the quality and professionalism levels of individual and small business organizations diminish to such a low level that, unfortunately, my standards have dropped along with them. However, after soliciting a proposal from Socelvic to do the painting work, I learned first hand that the old style of doing things the right way has not gone away. Their professionalism in responding with a top notch proposal which outlined their approach to prosecuting the work, materials suggested, timeframe for execution and payment schedule was a pleasent suprise. Their crew was fast and through. They removed the exterior storm window frames to get at the spaces around the windows that other painters overlooked...and quite frankly so did I. They ran a clean operation and kept me informed every step of the way. Their office personnel were top rate so that I knew where we stood as far as progress payments and they were most accommodating to my schedule to contact me when and in a means that I preferred. The paperwork (contracts, change orders, etc.) were clearly written and received in a timely way. They has receipts for materials ready whenever I asked for them. The workmen were clean, neat, quiet, hard working...did I say clean? The work site was spotless each and every day, not a scrap of paper or miscellaneous paint chip was out of place. The job progressed according to plan and was completed to my satisfaction. Bottom line: Job Well Done!!

They were prompt, professional and pleasant. The entire crew worked incredibly hard and long. They cleaned up well and took care to do things right. They went the extra mile to do a good job.

After i noted at for everything, all i have to say is call this company and be happy.

They did a great job. Listened to what we wanted, did the work quickly and professionally. Were reasonably priced compared to the other quotes we received. Very friendly.

The company gave me a proposal for the proposed work dated 7/13/2011 . After the work was completed the contractor claimed he had spent more money for the roofing material The owner chose the roofing material from the samples provided by the company. The company at no time informed to the owner that the material chosen and installed was not within the estimate. provided by the contractor and the owner did not have an opportunity to choose another material till the job was completed. So the company unilaterally took money given for purchasing paint from another contract to paint the house and paid himself. and unilaterally canceled the contract for painting. The company is not a licensed Home Improvement Contractor as it was clainmed in the initial letter head and the state does not have recognize this contractor as a licensed Home Improvement Contractor. Calculations and the amount money returned is not an accurate figure. I would not recommend this company for any work for any one as they are not a Liscenced Home improvement contractor and unilaterally cancelling a contract by one party of the contract after taking money is unprofessional if not unethical.

We have been using Socelvic for snow removal for two years now. I have a job that requires me to be at work early in the morning regardless of how bad the weatehr condition is. It is important to be able to get out of my driveway in the morning. We've been very happy with their service. They are super reliable and prompt. Wish the price could be lower though...

Excellent service, hard working, attention to detail. Very responsive. will get out of his way to make sure the customer is happy. He drove 1hr away to get the supplies , so the project will be on time. Very reliable. Reasonable prices. We plan to use him for future projects as well

They responded to my request for an estimate, came out within a few days, and sent the estimate after I had emailed again. It took about a week or so to get the estimate. They scheduled my job right before the holiday even though it was nearing the end of the outdoor work season for them. They did a very good job on all of the work that was completed, but it was not the job that we had originally contracted for, so there is still work to be done. Hopefully we will continue to work together in the spring when the weather warms up. I was pleased and satisfied with the work that was completed. They did a great job of cleaning up the area every night, and worked hard to complete the job that they started within a short time frame. They used quality materials, and were able to complete the job within a short time frame. I appreciated that they tried to help me out at the very end of their outdoor working season.

Question of double billing was not addressed after a registered letter was sent to Socelvic. They also took a deposit on work that was not started that was never returned or addressed. Did not show up at date he was going to start on.

I had an excellent experience with Socelvic. They came out for a quote within a day of initial contact and were able to schedule the work within a week of my deciding to have them do the work. The workers were professional, and the crew doing the actual work had obviously been briefed on the details of the quote, so I didn't have to worry about them doing something that differed from the quote. The crew also made a serious effort to salvage as much of the railing as possible to keep the cost of the job manageable. They were flexible and prompt in painting the railings, and did a great job overall. I was very happy, and I'll use them again the next time I need work done on my condo.

I was very satisfied with the work done. I thought the price was good. The painters were competent and hardworking. I paid by the hour for the carpentry and they really applied themselves so I felt I got my money's worth. I spoke with the office rep Michele by phone. She helped me to iron out problems when there was some confusion over what was to be done. She was cheerful and professional and good to deal with. I would hire the company again.

Socelvic Company provided expert carpentry professionals and did an outstanding job. The old deck was desperately in need of renovation. Celio did a thorough inspection and proposed a comprehensive remodeling with maintaining the fully intact deck beams rather than a complete replacement of the deck to save us money. They used only high quality materials and made an expert job of everything from end to end. They were approachable, friendly and importantly they worked continuously on the project until finished without any delays. The job site was cleaned daily. Socelvic Company was always reachable and Celio consistently updated on the progress. Basically we got a new deck to a very reasonable price and compared with proposals from other contractors we saved thousands of dollars. In addition, we even got a discount for returned materials. This was our best experience we ever had with a contractor.

We were 110% satisfied with the work, the crew and Celio Vicente. The crew was highly skilled, forthcoming and consistently worked at a high standard from start to finish. They protected and cleaned the job site daily and took care for details. Socelvic Company was easily reachable and Celio kept me always informed about the progress. They provided a detailed proposal at a fair price. The carpentry diagnostic at completion of the scrapping process found several items including a rotten water table board. Celio explicitly explained everything and repairs were made promptly without interruption of the project. Near completion of the project he did a final inspection with me to make sure my expectations were met. An excellent job worth every dollar spent.

This contractor went all ten yards. Quick appraisal and response. Excellent communications. Has a good office staff to help. Has an experienced, large crew to get the job done quickly, with no mess, no fuss. Left the work area spotless and stuck by his quote. In fact materials were less than he thought so the overall price was less than the quote. The crew worked very fast and well. I've been through a few rainstorms since the work was done and there were no leaks so the work was done completely. I recommend this contractor without reservation.

I had hired Socelvic to paint the exterior of my house and the painting supervisor brought some problem areas to my attention. I had some rotting wood around several sections of my sunroom, as well as some very old shingles on the roof of a small porch. Socelvic was able to get someone from their carpentry division to come right away and give an estimate for repairs. All the problems they noticed coincided with things the inspector pointed out when I bought the home. I decided to go forward with the repairs on a Friday and Socelvic sent a carpenter Saturday morning. Luckily everything went smoothly - we were worried the rot might be more extensive than it appeared superficially, but that turned out not to be the case. I was kept informed throughout the process and the repairs were finished in just a few days. The yard was left tidy and the carpentry supervisor stopped by several times to check up on the process and ask if I had any questions. Everyone I had contact with at the company was friendly, knowledgeable, and highly responsive.

Socelvic's crew did a very professional job of prepping, scraping, and painting the exterior of my house. They arrived on time everyday, got right to work, and stayed all day. The job was finished in about a week. They took great care in moving and protecting outdoor furniture during the process and went above and beyond each day when cleaning up. Prior to the painting, I was aware that repairs would need to be made to the stucco and wood before painting could begin. Socelvic handled these repairs and kept me informed throughout the process. I couldn't be happier with the end result. Not only did they do a careful, conscientious job with the painting, but they also did a few extra little things - they power washed a dingy section of picket fence, they took care of a nest of bees in a crack in the house, and they left the yard cleaner than they found it. They were always friendly, polite, and highly responsive. I would definitely use this company again.

They were very responsive and they seemed very nice. We were concerned because we realized that their estimate was not very thorough. We were collecting estimates from different companies and we could see that Socelvic had left out a lot of items that could add up later. We thought that they were just trying to get the job, so we decided not to go with them. We have had them to work for us in the past and it was a small carpentry job. As the work got started, there was a lot more hourly work that they were charging us for. There was some work that they didn't identify it upfront. So we did end up spending a lot more on that work.
