Description of Work: I just want to say I have had my house cleaned for years so I am very familiar with the pricing. I live in the Wakefield area. I have complained to Angies stating that the pricing for cleaning services IS NOT a Big Deal price but they consider it a Big Deal ONLY because it is less than what the company normally charges. I have a 3 bedroom house with 8 rooms, 1 1/2 bath with 3 cats, 2 are long haired. I pay ONLY $80 every 2 weeks. She lives 2 towns away. Prior to that it was @ $70 for a long time. .When she comes alone, it takes 4 hrs. and if with her daughter, it takes 2 hrs. And there is NOTHING left undone, not even under sofa cushions, under the rugs, NOTHING. And this is the going rate... But she is not a "company". It seems to me that the cleaning people are trying to raise the roof on pricing. They call themselves companies and I think that is wrong. This is like when a department advertises a big store sale, but what they do is raise all their prices for a time, and then lower the prices for the sale. Several stores had been caught doing this. Since Angies cannot do anything about it, I just feel I have to let people know. We all work hard for our money. I did use Smileys once as a Big Deal. I believe maybe early last year, can't recall. I also experienced the No Show, no responses for about a month. I was extremely frustrated. Then finally I got a hold of her & she said she was in a hospital with infection.... But after reading some reviews, I guess it happens often. In addition, at the time their Big Deal Price was $60. I also got duped into thinking that I would have my whole house cleaned. There were 3 of them. When you divide that up, you get only 1. 33 hrs of cleaning. And then when we talked later about coming every 2 weeks, they requested an exorbitant amount. I was shocked! I think it was $130 or $140. Needless to say, I never called back. I just feel I need to tell people so they can be "BUYER BEWARE". Nothing against the company.

Description of Work: This was very disappointing. I purchased the 4hrs of cleaning for $79 (a great deal) from Smiles Housecleaning and they never followed up with me to schedule the service or even acknowledge my order for that matter. I'm grateful that Angie's list followed up and made it easy for me to cancel this and get a refund.

Description of Work: Service Provider took a long time to respond, one voice mail message I got she said that she thought she had already cleaned my house. I called back and left a message saying 'no, you did not clean my house, please call me back' and never got a response. Bought the deal in April, it's now July and no work done yet. I'm cancelling my order. Very dissatisfied.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal because we needed the housecleaning service prior to an event at our home. Due to the number of deals purchased, the company was not able to schedule with us in a timely fashion, and then it just became too challenging to find another workable option. Perhaps it is just our availability which was so limiting, but we have always found that scheduling the Big Deals to be the biggest hurdle, and it will make us think really hard before purchasing others in the future. I like the idea of the Big Deals, but have not found they necessarily work out well if you have any kind of time crunch or a specific time frame for needing the services.
