Catia and her workers cleaned my home, including the windows. They did a very good job and I'd use them again.

The cleaning service was not particularly responsive to my emails. I had to reach out to them to schedule the appointment. They suggested a date and time but then never confirmed the scheduled appointment or told me how the service was to be delivered. They eventually arrived one hour late to the appointment, and only called once to say that they would be "10 minutes late." I was never told that I would have four people for one hour rather than 1 person for four hours. In the end, this was fine and they did an o.k. job with the cleaning. I wouldn't hire them again given that they were not very responsive, came late and also were not particularly nice.

purchased a deal on Angie's list for $79 for 4 hours of cleaning. Got about an hour and a half of cleaning instead. around 4 cleaners showed up, which I guess is how they justified not spending as much time as promised, but they were not very effective. I requested - twice - that the cleaners focus cleaning my wood floors and the bathrooms only, but instead they just dusted and wiped down the floors. not at all what I was looking for. the place was cleaner when they finished, but not at all what I was looking for, certainly not worth hiring again, even for the discounted price. oh well.hous

They did an overall cleaning which was desperately needed. In general, they did a very good job. The only issue was that they took it upon themselves to decide what things were garbage - that is, they took various things they found around and threw them out, assuming they were trash. One of these was a water bottle that was part of a humidifier and had special fittings attached, which were also thrown out. Fortunately, I noticed this and was able to retrieve these items, but I felt they should not have taken it upon themselves to decide to toss things. Other than this, they did well. Important to be very clear what you want and don't want.

They did good work on the housecleaning but when they quoted me an estimate to come back to do my house on a regular basis, they were extremely high, comparative to other house cleaners. There is no way this is valued at $150, because it boils down to two girls at two hours, be sure to read the fine print! I have had my house cleaned now by house cleaners for the past 12 years and I currently pay $80 for two girls at two hours every two weeks, and I just hired them as of March. Other quotes that I had received were in the $85-90 range for a house of my size (8 rooms, split ranch house), and I live in Wakefield. Based on the extremely high price and responsiveness, I would not use them again.

In general, they do a decent job as I had used them once before. They did not seem to clean as much this time as they did the first time and they are a little careless around expensive stereo equipment. They left one room pretty much uncleaned and didn't clean any windows that I paid for with this coupon. They also left a 15 inch scratch on my wood floor which I didn't discover until after they left. B/c of the scratch and the fact that they left without cleaning any windows, I won't use them again.

Very professional service. Catia and her 2 colleagues swept through our small cape in an hour and 20 minutes, including all windows! She didn't even charge us for the extra 20 minutes. We'll definitely use her again. Thank you!

The workers arrived on time, got right to work , and cleaned just as described in the coupon.I would use this team again.

The basement had all kinds of crap piled up and some of it was wet. I didn't even know what to do with it anymore. She came in with three people and had it cleaned and organized it in an hour. It was wonderful! I just adored this lady...she was amazing. I didn't think it could be done that fast and that well. Everything was organized in way that made sense and was absolutely clear. I was really impressed...and grateful. Price and quality were fantastic.

They weren't to attentive to my instructions on cleaning. The cleaning was very spotty, and did kind of a halfway job. My house is pretty big, so I could understand to a point. I had to remop the floors, because they used the same mops for five floors, they didint move my sofas, and halfway cleaned my window seals. The next day, I noticed a couple of my rings were missing, and the bowl they were in. I also noticed a pair of ear rings I had left out that were gone. I would not recommend this company to anyone or use them again.

I should say that I do not know the operator of this company, nor have I spoken to them about how the "big deal" works, nor have I had them work at my house before. After investigating how the angieslist "big deals" work because of question I had on another "big deal," I discovered from an angieslist representative that in this particular deal at Smiles Housecleaning Company, angieslist was taking %35, of the already radically-discounted price of $89. I do notice, from some of the recent reviews that my fellow angieslist members are not happy with the way "Smiles Housecleaning company" has been performing on these angieslist "big deals," but did you know how little this company (and all the companies in general who offer the "big deal") is making? I spoke with a manager in the "big deals" department of angieslist, who gave me this info, and I have requested that angieslist 1) charge more for the "big deals," as apparently have some other angieslist members - to avoid a bad situation for both the owner/operator and for the customer,and also 2) that angieslist post the percentage they make from the "big deals" in their advertising. As they currently stand, I take these "big deals" to be unethical on the part of angieslist because they exploit the small businesses, which are under-incentivized, and end up giving the customer sub-optimum service. In the end, it is angieslist, and angieslist alone that profits from the "big deals."

I got them from Angie’s List. I had somebody before them, and I was the last client they had in Brookline. Their boss and I decided that they shouldn’t come anymore because they didn’t like walking due to the parking problem. But Smiles has been very good for me. They asked for $70 when I first met them, and I had been paying $85 to those reluctant people who didn’t want to walk. So I said that I would like to give them $80, and that’s what I have been paying. Their service is fine, there are three sisters, and they are very fast. I suppose if I ever ask for any extra things to be done, I am sure that they would be willing to give me extra time, and I would pay for the extra time. They do a good job, and since I do some of the things myself between their visits, it works out well. The quality of their work is good. If I find anything, and I have only found a couple of niggling things, they correct it right away. They are very responsive, and punctual. Once in a while, if they have been in a job before they come to me, and someone has given them a lot of extra work, it’s hard for them to deal with that.

After a difficult start scheduling a time, Cati and her crew did a greatt job. The were there on the dot, brought their own materials and were responsive to specific requests - such as using a new vacuum bag. The were quick, professional and unobtrusive in getting the work done. . We will use them for cleaning on a regular basis every two week or so

I hired Smiley's and paid for 2 big deals for a total of 8 hours. She insisted that all 8 hours be done at once even though I didn't want to do that. She came on 5/19/12 at 2:00 p.m. with a total of 4 women. I took Catia around the entire house and described in very specific detail what I wanted such a "scrubbing" the kitchen floor, cabinets and back splashes. I said that they had something like sticky oil on them and the floor was totally filthy. I told one of the girls in the living room not to touch a box that was pushed inside a bedside table (that I keep in the living room). The entire top of the box was covered by the top of the table. I had completely dusted and polished that table the night before so it obviously didn't need any work. They came with no virtually NO supplies and relied upon all of mine, including cloths to clean with , pledge, soft scrub, etc. When they left, I went through the house and they didn't scrub the kitchen floor. I found dirt right next to a place where they did clean. The backsplash was wiped, not cleaned. The cabinets were wiped lightly and the grimmy dirt was still there. Actually, while they were still there and getting ready to leave, I pointed out that they didn't clean the walls or cabinets in the full bathroom and didn't vacuum the top of the stairs. They did a lousy job. I also think that if you are in the cleaning business, you should show up with your own supplies. I was disgusted and horrified by the work even though some of what they did (i.e., dust ceiling fans and some walls) were okay. I would never hire them again and never recommend them. About a week after they left, I took the box out of the bedside table because I had to go to Court the next day on the case involving the pan. The entire top piece was broken. It was one whole piece and it was broken into about 8-10 pieces. I immediately called Catia, the owner, and she questioned me about it. I told her and made it very clear that I saw the pan the night before they were there and NO-ONE had been in the living room since they left. So, it had to be them. Also, there were 3 pieces of the original ceramic pan in the box. The bottom two appeared fine. So, it was very clear that they had to have dropped something in the box. The other thing that really bothers me is that they never told me. Catia told me that she would be there 2 days later, around 6 p.m., so she could see it for insurance purposes. I was home all day and night and Catia never called or showed up. Not only did they do a less than average job, they broke something and lied to me about it. And, when confronted, she lied again and ignored the situation. That says a lot about Catia and her company.

I have tried to contact vendor by email and phone. I have not gotten a response back from them and I need to schedule the service.

I tried this cleaning service using a discount coupon from Angie's List. Catia didn't show up the first date that the cleaning was scheduled. I called her and she said that she forgot. We rescheduled to the same time the following week. She called me just before she was to arrive and said that she had car trouble and would be 90 min late (the entire job would take 2 hours, so this really upset my schedule for the day). The cleaners did a pretty good job, although while surfaces were clean, items and appliances were not put back in their original places (e.g., toaster was moved and left unplugged). She asked me to provide paper towels and trash bags, which I don't expect from a full service cleaning service.

They did a great job. They even called me to follow up on scheduling my next appointment which I really appreciated. They cleaned the whole house including the stove, dishwasher, bathroom, and closets. They were very affordable and thats why I was attracted to this company. They had three employees come out and when they were running late they gave me a call to tell me they were behind.

After talking to two other Cleaning Services, I found Smile's Housecleaning Company and all has gone well. They come every other week and we accomodate each other when infrequently schedules need to change temporarily. Usually three sisters come and work very quickly, cheerfully and efficiently together. On two occasions Catia has come alone, leaving the other two on a special job. Catia is good and does fine work on her own. She's in charge of the job. I raised the pay Catia had asked to $80 right from the first to match Molly Maid's who had usually sent 2-3 workers and charged more than Smile's. I've asked them to avoid harsh cleaning products, but they tend to do that anyway. I have no criticism of their work. If I do notice any small detail they are responsive--I.E., threads from a soft rag were catching on a wicker chair leg or a sharp corner on an appliance. Now they notice. They are as punctual as they can be given the parking problem. They don't mind walking a bit, and I have them use my Oreck vacuums so they don't have to lug those. If a new client suddenly loads them up with extra work, Catia phones to tell me so I can do a small errand and not waste time waiting for them. The condo managers insist that we be here to let in our own workers and not give out keys. As for professionalism, Catia is clearly in charge, but we've become more like friends. I'm 85 and able-bodied, but she has made clear that if I need someone for anything like going to a doctor she'd be glad to help.

Smile's Housecleaning arrived on time, with 3 people, and started right away. They worked quickly and efficiently. They brought their own cleaning equipment, except for a vacuum cleaner. They were pleasant, and did a good job.

The first time I hired Catia was a response to an Angie's list DEAL. It was fine. She did need to reschedule because her car broke down. When they came - they worked the amount of hours that I paid for. So it does not matter what needs to be done - when times is up that is it. I was very grateful and gave them some free items and a tip. Catia is very personable and hard working. She brings 1-2 other people. English is not her first language. Her helpers do not speak English. If you have something that is important to you - please make sure that you say it and she repeats it so you know that she understands. In other words - when they arrived I told her that I need all three bathrooms cleaned. That is the most important thing for me. Only one bathroom was cleaned and time was up! They should have stayed to clean them since I requested that is the most important. The other women said they did not know where the bathrooms were. I do not like having 3 people going in different directions - so I can not give them direction. Catia works the hardest. Four hours of Catia is not equal to one hour and 20 min total of the three women. Two women worked out fine - but three was too many for Catia to clean and give them direction. Unfortunately, Catia is unreliable with scheduling and keeping her schedule. She has a good heart and she is willing to work hard - but I think that she is over her head. A lot of time is spent on the phone scheduling and rescheduling. The second time i responded to another Angies List DEAL for two house cleanings. I scheduled ahead of time so that I could have one cleaning within a week before Thanksgiving and before Christmas. She postponed BOTH of them. One she came the week after Thanksgiving and the other she canceled so many times she still has not come out. This was a BIG disappointment. I was left high and dry before the holidays. This is when you need someone to be reliable!! I think she is telling the truth - but she says that her car breaks down - often. Also, she gives others the time I am scheduled for her to come and cancels me. Although the ad says regular work hours she continues to try to come out on Saturdays - and she has a tough time scheduling me during the weekdays. I want the house cleaned during normal work hours - while my husband is at work! Catia has regular customers and they are her priority. She schedules the Angies list special people around these people. I became weary calling and trying to get her to come out. We left it that she was supposed to get back with me. My coupon expires in 9 days.

Catia very conscientiously contacted me to use my coupon before it expired and we set up a day and time via email.She and 3 other women arrived on time with their equipment. They cleaned the areas as I directed and were done in 1 hour. I will be engaging them for regular services.

Continued to use her every other week until we moved.

We used their $75/4-hour coupon on Angie's List, and overall we weren't very impressed. Catia was very nice, and she called ahead to let me know they'd be late which was appreciated (they were about an hour late). They did a good job dusting and vacuuming, but they missed quite a few spots. And while they mopped our floors I don't think they swept them beforehand? We're having a baby soon and just had some electric work done, so we wanted to make sure any plaster dust, etc. was picked up beforehand -- but after they left we still found bits of copper wire on the floors here and there. Also, worst of all, whatever product they used to clean the stove top left permanent stains on our countertops (see photo). Luckily, they're made of butcher block, so I was able to sand down the spots out and recoat them... but still, that was a good hour or two of my Saturday down the drain. And speaking of drains, even I do a better job on our sink and toilet, and I'm hardly a clean freak -- just your average thirty-something slob. The house was definitely cleaner after they left, but all in all, I was pretty unimpressed.

Three women came. They were on time. They did a good job of cleaning my one floor home.
