Description of Work: The company charged $79. They made a token try to schedule a service, offering a date more than a month away. They do not reliably reply to e-mail. To date, I have been unable to schedule the service with them (it has been exactly a month). This is a scam. Shame on them and shame on Angie's list for promoting it.

Description of Work: Smile's Housecleaning did amazing work. Four ladies came in and cleaned the house top to bottom in 1 hour. This was my first time using a cleaning service and would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: A pleasant with her 'team' arrived half an hour late ,which she explained first as due to traffic and then to difficulty finding the address. My job was difficult as I wanted only spot cleaning done in a house in the process of being emptied and she did try to comply. I did not supervise so I feel it rather unfair to judge. Some areas were adequately done, some only fair. This was done for a coupon deal, and I told her I did not want to go above that. I don't think I would try again.

Description of Work: Hi there, We had an appointment, which was slightly difficult to get, and she called to cancel at the last minute. We contacted her to reschedule and asked if she could do two two hour sessions rather than one four. She offerred us a three hour session but wouldn't be able to come back another time for the fourth hour. So she basically said she would do three hours of cleaning instead of four. I pointed out that we had paid for four and she offered to do all four in one session. So now we are trying to get her to come back for one 4 hour session. But hoenstly, we ended up cleaning the entire house the day she didn't show because we were having company. So the house really doesn't need 4 hours of cleaning. Do you think we may be able to just get a refund and cancel?

Description of Work: I made two different appointments with this company for a house cleaning estimate. I left work early for the first appointment. The individual with whom I made the appointment did not appear but sent an email hours later to say she was involved in a car accident. As this was surely a good reason to not appear and not call, I made another appointment. I did not have to leave work early but came home and then waited again in vain. I received another email to again reschedule but I did not do so this time.

Description of Work: I used my Big Deal for Smile's Housecleaning Company coupon to provide final cleaning before the walk thru of my mother-in-laws house before we closed on the sale. The new owners commented that "it sparked". They were efficient and effective. I requested that they dust ceiling vents and corners and they only missed one! That was terrific in my opinion. My mother-in-law (aka Mother Eagle Eye) came by to say goodbye to her home of 50 plus years and was very pleased to leave her home so much beyond "broom clean" for the new owners. I would definitely use them for a periodic cleaning and more often if it were within my budget.

Description of Work: Catia and her sister cleaned my basement. I had moved the majority of the items, but there were a few things they moved and cleaned very well. They work quickly and so they were able to also help with washing a wall upstairs and some windows. I was very pleased! She ran a little late because of friday afternoon traffic. I do understand! Description of Work: I hired Catia on 3/7 after she came to my condo to provide me with an estimate for top to bottom cleaning. She quoted me $115.00 to clean my two bedroom/2 bathroom condominium, including the insides of all kitchen and bathroom cabinets, as well as the inside of my oven and refrigerator. I advised her that I wanted a 'deep clean' of my condominium, and offered to give her an additional $45.00, for a total of $160.00. I provided her with a copy of my keys, and she agreed to come back on 3/8, while I was at work, to perform the cleaning. When I came home from work on 3/8, I was disgusted as to what I saw. Catia had done only a light surface clean, she didn't mop the floors, she didn't clean the inside of any cabinets or the refrigerator, she didn't wipe down the baseboards or switchplates, she didn't clean the windows, she didn't clean one of the showers and did only a light clean of the other one, she left a dirty dishrag in one of the drawers on top of the silverware, she didn't vacuum the rug in my living room (proved by the fact that there was still dirt everyone on it) and the list goes on and on. I immediately called Catia, and she agreed to come back the next day to reclean the apartment. When she arrived the next day, she told me that she did the best she could, and when I pointed out the dirty windows, dirty refrigerator, and dirty shower, she admitted that she didn't clean them. Her and her worker said that they would do it over again, however, 2 minutes after they started, she and her worker decided that they did not want to finish the job. She gave me back the check for $160.00 and took a check for $50.00 instead. Since that time, I have noticed severe scratches on my floor, that were caused by her cleaning, in addition to a huge stain on a $4,000 cherry dining room table (that she hid under a placemat) that appears as if she simply poured some cleanser on it, covered it back up with a placemat and left it there to sit in and rot the wood. Needless to say, I am sorry that I even gave her $50.00, and want that money back.

Description of Work: Catia was very responsive in coming to my house to give me an estimate on house cleaning. The price she quoted was significantly higher than what I was expecting. I told her what I had been paying. She did not say no, but said that she would talk to her sister and call me back in an hour and a half. Her last words out the door, not to worry and that she would call back in an hour and a half after she spoke with her sister. That was on 3/18/11, today is 3/22/11. If she could not do the job, the professional ,courteous thing to do is to call back as she said and explain that she would not be able to do the job. If you say you are going to do something, such as call back in an hour and a half, then she should have called back with yes I can clean your house or no I will not be able to clean your house, plain and simple.
