I needed to fix a broken storm window pane asap, so I called Dick monday morning. He said he will come over in an hour. He showed up in an hour, took the window out in 30 seconds, took the frame with him to his office, replaced the glass there and came back in 30 or so minutes. All in all took him a little over 1.5 hours from the initial phone call to complete the job. And all for $75. I could not ask for a better service. Would recommend to anyone and definitely would use again.

We were so impressed with Dick Santin. We called him on a Sunday morning regarding a shattered window pane. He was able to come out to our home to fix the windows that same day, on a Sunday! We also had him replace 3 other panes of glass in 2 other windows, for a total of 4 panes replaced. He clearly is extremely skilled and experienced at window work. We would definitely use him again in the future. He replaced the panes from outside the house, with the consequence being very little mess. He cleaned everything up beautifully afterwards.

This went very well. Richard was not at all bothered by the need to work on the lower and upper window panes. He also adjusted another window for me, one that I had not noticed. I think that he is a great professional.

Visited our house to see the cracked window and take down the information. A second, short visit to install the new window. A separate, short visit to repair a window frame part that had broken. I dropped off 4 screens at his place and they were repaired within an hour. Richard, in short, solved our problems quickly and inexpensively. For us, he was a gem.

Dick was courteous when I called and asked me to bring the windows to his home for repairs. He made sure I had all the window frame pieces first. These windows are no longer made and I have been trying to get them repaired for several years. He had all the spare parts, screens and glass to complete the job. I dropped them off and they were all repaired an hour later. He did an excellent job.

Richard came out, determined necessary repairs, and ended up suggesting that the most cost effective approach for repairing the windows would be to go straight to the manufacturer. We were impressed with his honest approach to his work, and for truly putting the customer's interests first.

We called Dick on a Sunday for a busted window; he showed up that same day and fixed it for us for a reasonable price. He's awesome. We will definitely call him when we replace all our windows next year.

I've called him and it took him a day or two to get back, but that is okay considering that he is busy. He came on a Sunday calling before dropping in. He was courteous, friendly and efficient. He looked at the window that is dropping all the time when I lift to open it. It was a simple fix (if you know how). He removed the lower pane and fixed the side. Then he told me how to avoid this problem in the future which is really very helpful. I have called another guy to look at the problem, but he suggested replacing the whole window completely that could cost me $400+ for a good one. Mr. Santin helped me save a lot by fixing it at a very reasonable price. No job is too small for him. I highly recommend him.

Dick's timing and pricing were faster and lower than other estimates. He was responsive and easy to deal with.

Mr Santin was very punctual in returning phone calls, made a prompt estimate that was fair, and very pleasant and professional to deal with. The doors had to be custom made, which took a bit longer than expected, but once they were made, he came and installed them in one day. They're much better looking than the pictures and are great for our needs.

After a few phone calls and a quick visit the window was fixed for a reasonable price.

He knows what he's doing and he's very reasonable. He prefers repairing your installation versus the replacement windows he old counterweight windows but he will do the counterweights if necessary.

Very good. I would ask him for his services again and recommend him to anyone. It took a little longer than expected because he was looking for a particular item to save me money. He could have replaced the entire window, but I was not in a big hurry. I appreciated his effort . He also noted that other one of my windows was broken and took measurements just in case I wanted to replace it in the future.

The living room windows in my old condo had been stuck forever, and one had a cracked pane. One day, while I was cleaning, I fiddled with one of the latches and ended up sending the whole thing crashing down, shattering the exterior pane and leaving it stuck wide open on a very cold day. Richard returned my call promptly and helped me get the window shut and measured the pane so he could replace the glass. He returned a couple of weeks later (the delay was due to my schedule, not his; he had the new glass ready to go in three days and would have come back any time I wanted), fixed my broken window and the other stuck ones, and they are working like new now.

When I had my windows painted a year ago, the painters did not reinstall the windows properly-- i.e. they did not reattach the sash cords to the counterweights properly. Because of this, the windows were impossible to open. After reading about Richard on angieslist, he appeared to be the exact person I needed, and he did not disappoint. He has a ton of experience with these types of windows and came over and took about a half a day to do all the work described above, charged at his very reasonable hourly rate. Once he was done I had some touch up painting done on these windows and when the painters (different ones this time) jammed one of the windows, Richard was happy to come by on very short notice to correct the problem in about 20 mins. I am very grateful for all the work he did for me. He is extremely professional and modest and definitely goes out of his way to keep his customers happy.

The window belonged to one of my tenants, who tried to open the window during an unusually warm 50 degree day in March. I needed to get the window repaired as soon as possible, because temperatures would fall back down to the 20's at night. I called Dick first thing in the morning - he came and repaired the window at noontime the same day. Great prompt service, incredibly fair price (especially in Brookline, where in my experience, other window repair places in the area seem to charge you an arm and a leg!)

Mr. Santin got the job done very fast. I am very pleased with the service. He knows what he does. This is the second time that we call Mr. Santin and we will continue using his service in the future.

Price included his time and labor in ordering and installing the parts. This price is extremely fair. The other estimate we got for the job was a lot higher. The time between receiving an estimate and doing the job was a couple of months, but this is because we were away for a long period, and Anderson took time to send the part and then sent the wrong part (the bottom instead of the top sash), which had to be returned and replaced. Dick handled all of the contact with Anderson, which must have been very time-consuming. The installation took more than an hour.

He was one of the most pleasant people to do business with. He was prompt and professional. The price was below what we had anticipated.

He said he would stop by for an estimate within a few days and never called. I called him again and he said, "Yeah, I've been busy. I could come right now." It was 12:30 pm and I was at work and couldn't leave right at that moment. I explained this politely and he replied, "Well, I'm working too." I felt he had an unprofessional and unhelpful attitude. I'm still looking for someone to repair these windows.

I called to have a leaky window repaired. Mr. Santin only travels to areas if he has more than one job there, so he said he'd call back the next day to schedule a day (he told me that he can usually get to everyone in 2-3 days). I never got a call back, so I followed up the following day. He promised to get back to me that evening, one way or another. No call. So that's 3 extra days of a leaky window. Thanks for nothing.

Called other people about the window, all wanted to replace the window for $200-$300 a window. I called Dick and he said that it could be fixed. He came over and did the job with no problem.
