He called back within two hours and set up an appointment for the next morning (over Labor Day Weekend, no less). He looked at the storms and advised me that we didn't really need them (we have regular thermal windows) and that repairing them would not be cost effective. So he showed me how to keep the panes in place to avoid being a hazard. He then spent an hour fixing the broken sash, which he did successfully despite some unusual design issues. He was knowledgable and professional all the way. He did a great job, gave good honest advice, and clearly wasn't in it to make an inflated sale (i.e. get a new window instead of fixing the ones we have). Definitely would use him again.

Better late than never for a review - sorry for that Richard. I really appreciated Richard's help and service following a break-in to our house and damage to our window/screen. He quickly came to the house and gave an estimate. There was a delay from the manufacturer to order a new sash but not in his control. When he noticed my screen door was not latching properly he was kind enough to fic it. Though not material cost it took his time and I (and wife) really appreciate it since it is still working perfectly years later. (we have a dog and previously he could push it open!)

Richard was extremely professional, and his workmanship was outstanding. The storm door install went well and I could not ask for a better experience.

Extremely good work, clear area of expertise (he does storms and screens, and does them well), pleasant personality, goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. He offered to work on a Sunday to please our tenants, and did such a good job I was more than happy to tip him when all was said and done- his prices were so reasonable. I *highly* recommend Richard Santin. He doesn't even use the Internet so he won't have to blush seeing my praise. Great guy.

I dropped off my broken window screen at his house. He repaired it in 10 minutes while I waited at a very reasonable price. He has over 50 years of experience repairing glass and window screens, and it shows in his workmanship. He is essentially the Master of Window Screen Repairs, and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the future.

We had a tear in a large porch screen which was too big to patch. We called Richard Saturday night -- the day after Christmas -- and he came out the next morning around 9am and replaced the screen for $100. It wasn't an emergency, but he just likes to get his work done, and he did a great job. He's interesting to talk to, and is going to do some window work for us as well. He was also $50 less than the other quote we got. If you need a screen repaired, just call Richard.

Richard came by and looked at my screen. He could not repair my screen due to the type of construction but he did offer some suggestions on how to find a repair person. Richard was very professional and responsive.

Richard did a great job. Many places (Lowes, Home Depot, etc.) want you to measure the windows yourself. It was so nice to have Richard come over to measure and ensure we had everything we needed. He installed all of the new screens, too. We're very happy with our new screens!

Richard answered his phone immediately. I explained that we needed to replace the screen on our front door. He asked a bunch of questions about what we were looking for. He came out to our home a few hours later while I was at work. Took the door off, replaced the screen right outside our house and put the door back on. Charged us $75.00. Very fair and reasonable!

A few years ago we brought the screen door to a local hardware store to have the screen replaced. When we picked it up, one of the rollers was broken (but according to them, they didn't do it). So we had to buy a package of replacement rollers, but they were not an exact fit. The screen door became harder and harder to open/close and kept falling off the track. Eventually, the older rollers broke. The door was useless. We contacted several door/screening businesses but they didn't provide the service we needed We thought about replacing the screen door altogether but the box stores didn't carry the size we needed and the manufacturer of both the screen and door was unknown. We eventually found Mr. Santin who was more than willing to replace the rollers. We brought the screen over to his place. He wasn't sure he had the rollers in stock but said not to worry, he had catalogs. He called us later that day to let us know he ordered them. Shy of a week, he called to say the screen was ready. He told us the rollers were spring-activated (different from the old ones) and how to install them properly (two people would be ideal, and a putty knife to slide under the bottom rollers to lift onto the track). Voila! He said if we had any trouble to give him a call and he'd come over. He called the following morning to make sure everything was okay. Wow ... who does that these days? We are very happy customers.

Richard was great. He called in the morning, quoted a price, came exactly when he said he would, and fixed my large patio screen door. So pleasant and professional. I have already told people in my building! Can't say enough great things about this company!

I had three replacement windows with broken mechanisms that rendered them unusable. The windows are over nine years old, but Richard was able to locate the replacement parts and make the needed repairs. Richard was prompt and charged a reasonable amount for the work that had to be done. The repairs kept me from having to replace these windows. He also offered important advice for preventing similar issues with the windows in the future.

He was fast, responsive and also repaired one of the frames. The wrok was impeccable.

Richard came in and knew exactly what the problem was. He was very polite, ordered $500+ in parts for us (at his own risk) and came back to fix the job. Only accepted payment when job was completed. If you have window repair issues we'd recommend him.

After calling multiple companies and finding no one wanted to repair, only replace, my 9 year old replacement windows, Richard answered the phone and said simply, "Yes, I fix windows." And he did! I can't say enough -- in a world of quickly replacing everything, Richard actually wanted to fix something! He was helpful, professional, through, and incredibly reasonable.

Richard was responsive from the get go - picked up my call directly, and arranged to come and see the damage. He then ordered the replacement glass. The order was delayed by his supplier (no fault of his own). He communicated the delay to me promptly, and when it was in, he called to arrange installation. Installation went smoothly. My main issue was a broken energy efficient window. Richard copied down the codes on the window and tried to find the parts, but the window was discontinued, so I had to get a new one. The one he installed looks great, is high quality and only cost $300 including labor. He also adjusted two windows where there was air leaking into the house, charging $10 each. While he was here I asked him how much he charged to fix screens and he said $15 to put in new screens, so I asked him to do that and he brought them back 2 days later. He also replaced the hardware on a broken storm door for $90, including labor. He's a nice man, very punctual and takes pride in his work. I would definitely recommend him, call him again.

Richard was responsive, efficient and did what he said he would do. Having a broken window in the dead of winter in sub-zero temps is a crisis. Richard understood and fixed the problem within 24hrs. This is particularly notable because parking in my downtown Boston neighborhood is always tight but now virtually non-existent due to snow and ice.

Our windows were slightly damaged after a recent move. My husband and I attempted to fix the situation but probably ended up making it worse. I am so happy I found Richard on Angie's List. I spoke with him and described the situation, he was willing to schedule me in for the very next day (and on a Sunday!). He was very professional - he called me to let him know the approximate time he would be able to meet me.and he was prompt. He was able to assess the window situation and fortunately, it was something he could repair then and there. His price for the service call was very reasonable. I've received quotes from other window repair companies in the past and they were outrageous. Would definitely hire him again for any future window issues and would recommend him to others.
