Description of Work: Bathtub clog. Same problem four years ago by a different plumber. Since it was a clump of brunette hair and since my hair is silver grey that plumber said it was a building problem and I should not be charged. Jimmy of above company disagreed - was disagreeable with me - said he was in a hurry and had no time for any questions (he was here for about 15 minutes (8:00 til 8:15am) I told him that I would not request his services again. I did find out that he is the owner of the company. My building superintendent told me that Jimmy told our management company that I was rude to him. I believe he was paid but I have contested the bill as the previous plumber worked in the building for several years and I have high respect for him.

+ -1 moreHe answered the phone immediately, offered to be there in about an hour, and arrived in 90 minutes. He spent about 20 minutes on our property, cleared the pipe quickly, and cleaned up. He spent a few minutes thoroughly answering my questions about this problem and an unrelated slow tub. The $120 cost seems about average and only about twice what it would have cost to rent the auger ourselves.
Description of Work: Jimmy power-augured a clog in one of our waste stacks.

+ -1 moreProfessional, punctual, and easy to work with... Bay State was great. They answered all of my husbands questions and gave us tips on how to keep our pipes clean. I dont know whether they were costly or not since we just needed the job done and our previous plumber made the referral. It seems a little expensive but we were just happy to have the job completed by lunch!
Description of Work: We had a back up in a toilet and tub in our basement. Another plumber who could not complete the job (because it was our main drain) arranged for Bay State to come out. They arrived quickly, figured out the problem and gave my husband many helpful tips. They cleaned out our main drain (baby wipes ! duh!) and had the job completed in under 2 hours.

Description of Work: I CALLED TO ASK THAT A TOILET BE CLEARED ON A SUNDAY AT 7:30PM. THEY ANSWERED THE PHONE IMMEDIATELY AND I TALKED TO A PERSON WHO SAID THAT HE PERSONALLY WOULD BE HERE WITHIN AN HOUR.
