ACCURATE APPLIANCE REPAIR

Description of Work: When my refrigerator went warm, while the freezer stayed frosty, I called for advice regarding repair/ replace. John patiently listened to a somewhat rambling and confounding story. He proffered helpful advice and called to check up even after the refrigerator incredibly and mysteriously went cold. I will certainly call him if/when the fridge misbehaves again or for any other appliance that needs some TLC.

Description of Work: We have used accurate appliances for years and have found the services to be excellent. We also are property owners, as well as homeowners, and have used their service in both our homes as well as our rental apartments. * Please note, it has been our experience in the past that the majority of homeowner service companies, from roofers to plumbers, often quote a homeowner's price which is significantly different than a professional property owner quote.. For example, in one condominium association we were involved with, the association was quoted a $ 45,000 to $ 55,000 for a standard rubber roof which any property owner will tell you, is only around a $ 5,000.00 job (give or take for the individual building) Accurate Appliance will not over price their jobs for the regular homeowner. They are extremely fair & honest. What the job quote is from Accurate, is really what the job really costs. They do not engage in price inflation for the homeowner. Further, they will take the time to break down the actual problem for the customer so that they know what is actually involved in the repair. Is the problem a simple fix or is it more complicated. Do we need to order parts or, because of the costs, it would simply be better to buy a new machine? Accurate appliance is a service provider I would be comfortable sending to my best friend or family member. They will not "over quote" your sister or mother. Description of Work: Diagnosed complicated problem, figured out what was wrong, and solved it in a way that minimized our cost. Would definitely use again.

Description of Work: Diagnosed failure of oven. Researched, ordered, replaced computer control board -- but not before discussing with me why he thought it was that, and why my Internet research probably wasn't right, and raising the question of whether it might be more cost-effective for me to just replace the oven. (We chose not to, and had him replace the board.) Oven now works. Nice guy working in my best interest, and fixed the problem.

Description of Work: Our 20 year old dishwasher stopped running and normal troubleshooting left us at a dead end. It just wouldn't start. On a Sunday they sent someone who was able to troubleshoot a relatively small electrical failure and get us up and running. Quick, respectful and reasonable value.

Description of Work: They replaced the thermostat, fan belts and cleaned out the vent ducts to the outside on our electric dryer.

Description of Work: HAD PROBLEM WITH DRYER TAKING ALMOST 3 HOURS TO DRY A NORMAL LOAD. JOHN IDENTIFIED PROBLEM AND FIXED IT, BUT ALSO FIXED A PROBLEM WITH THE WHOLE STACKING WASHER/DRYER ASSEMBLY THAT HAD CAUSED THE UNIT TO SHAKE MORE VIOLENTLY THAN NORMAL DURING WASHER SPIN CYCLES.

Description of Work: CALLED FOR REFRIGERATOR REPAIR ON A TUESDAY, SCHEDULED APPT. FOR THURSDAY BETWEEN 10-12. TOOK MORNING OFF FROM WORK, BUT THEY NEVER SHOWED UP, NO PHONE CALL EITHER. CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID THEY WERE RUNNING BEHIND AND COULD COME SOMETIME LATER. I SAID I COULD WAIT ONE MORE HOUR AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN''T DO IT IN THAT TIME.

Description of Work: THE FREEZER WAS NOT COOLING ON THE TOP TRAY. THE BLADES OF FAN WHICH CIRCULATES THE AIR HAD FALLEN OFF. THE OLD BLADES WERE REPLACED AS THESE WERE LOOSE. I WAS LEFT WITH THE OLD PART. THE REPLACED NEW PART WAS SUCCESSFUL IN MAKING THE WHOLE FREEZER WORK.
