That service was fine and turned out fine. Just one technician came out and it took him about an hour. Scheduling was pretty quick to have them come out. we do need the garage door replacement and he mentioned that he would have his sales guy contact us and they never did.

I HAD TO COMMUNICATE WITH HIM THOUGH E-MAIL IN WHICH I DIDN'T WANT TO DO BECAUSE IT'S TOUGH TO SPEAK ABOUT MY NEEDS AND HIS PRICING BUT I HAD TO AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. I SIMPLY ASKED HIM ABOUT HIS SERVICE AND PRICING BECAUSE I NEVER DEALT WITH HIM AND THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT OFFERS SIMILAR DEALS AND HERE IS HIS RESPONDS BACK TO ME AND YOU TELL ME IF YOU'D LIKE TO DEAL WITH HIM, I'D SAY BUYER WATCH OUT!!! AT THIS POINT I WOULD RATHER YOU CALL THE OTHER COMPANIES. I AM NOT IN A BIDDING WAR, I AM TRYING TO MAKE YOU SAFE AND RELIABLE THE BEST WAY WE CAN GIVEN YOUR SITUATION. Helped get one of our garage doors going which had been "frozen" in place for a year. Only wanted a small job - they were here for an hour+ - but it cost us the full Angie's List piece, plus $119. Would we use them again? Probably yes.

After moving into a new home, we knew we needed a new garage door. Goodrow rep showed up on time, gave me the options, and sold me a new door and opener on the spot. Worked with the owner via email, and set the date for the install. They came inbetween two snow storms, installed everything, hauled the old door away, and did it all while I was at work. Couldn't be more pleased. Very professional and efficient.

Quick turn around on initial quote, and were very easy to work with in providing a less expensive alternative. They showed up on time and performed all work as promised. Cleaned up after, to the point you never would have known they were there.

Highly recommended. Very smooth transaction. Goodrow was on time and completed the work quickly. Doors previously shook the whole house but now with new rollers, alignment, and pullys run beautifully - quiet and smooth.

It went great. He showed up on time, installed the new motor and arm. I asked how much it would cost to install a keypad outside the door which was not included in the original work. The price was reasonable and he installed it right away without having to make another appointment. He left everything clean and tidy. He was polite and professional. I would definitely recommend him and use his services again.

They replaced two garage door motors with low noise motors and installed surge protectors on both (nearby property was hit by lightning and blew out several appliances/equipment at our home). They also installed an outdoor keypad for easy entrance to both doors and programmed both. We're very pleased with the results and would recommend Goodrow to anyone.

He was more tuned towards modern, new garage doors, so it wasn't really helpful to me. He said he wold go in and tighten a few things and grease a few things so it didn't really seem like it was worth the money.

We had a great experience with Goodrow from start to finish, including the fact that the entire transaction was done over the phone. We both work full time and are very busy, so the fact that we never actually met anyone face to face was a huge plus. I called on a Thursday, he went over to check out our garage on Friday morning, called me on Friday afternoon to tell me the door was too far gone to repair, and gave me a quote, which was a little less than the other quote I got. He called me again on Monday to say the door was in stock, and when I got home on Tuesday, we had a new garage door and there was an invoice in the mailbox. He didn't try to charge me extra for things we needed (the lock), didn't try to convince me to pay for things we didn't need (an opener), and it was his idea to replace the jambs and seals, which our other quote didn't even mention. I couldn't be happier.

We contacted Jay Goodrow and agreed on a time to come over to access work to be done. He gave us the estimate on site. We set up a date and he arrived on time to start job. He addressed all our problems and concerns regarding door replacement and followed through to end. The craftsmanship of the door and work done was of high quality. They were very prompt, did the work for the price paid. They did try to upsell me but I had no interest in that. I was happy with the work and would recommend them,

Everything went well from start to finish. Reached out to Jay after finding on Angie's List. He was responsive. I exchanged emails and had a couple phone conversations. We set up a time to inspect the door to order parts and I had to reschedule, but he was accommodating on the timing ... even coming at 7:15 am. We scheduled the install and his technician had to shift the time ... no issues as there was plenty of communications. Jason arrived to conduct the install. He was very friendly and courteous. I showed him to the garage and he got right to work. Jason did not mind me watching or asking questions. I believe he had the door opener and related components installed in under an hour. He then began the tune-up and my door is now running smooth. We are happy with the end result.

The job was made more difficult by the age of the wood door and the old iron rollers. I think it was more labor intensive than had been contemplated. However, the service was very courteous and professional and I'm completely satisfied with the work that was done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use the Goodrow company again.

It was a $49 deal for Garage Door Reconditioning with Safety Inspection. When I tried to schedule a service appointment I was told that it would not be worth their time to come all the way out to my town and I was asked if I would need any additional work for the garage door and opener. I did not want to commit to any other work that may or may not be needed and decided not to proceed further. I had to go through the Angie's List refund process to get the deal canceled and the refund.

the provider had to be called a couple of times to make the appointment. Other than that, it went very well. They came at the time that had been decided. he checked the entire system and replaced old metal rollers with new plastic ones. he oiled the entire system. he checked the ropes and made some adjustments. i was very pleased. this was done in a timely way.

Great experience - first offered help over the phone and when nothing worked he offered to come next day. Showed up as promised and took care of the issue. Truthfully it was a simple fix and something I should have noticed but since it only took him a few minutes he then took the extra time to inspect the doors and the hardware to make sure everything was in working condition and provided some additional maintenance when he could have just left after fixing the initial issue . Will call for any problems in the future.

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it was fine. They were prompt, professional, and they did a good job. The price was a good deal.

It was good. Arrived on time. Took about one hour. Door is much quieter.

Throughout a few rounds of messages, the service time was set for 12-2pm, on a Friday, which worked out very well for my family. The technician arrived at approximately 12:30, and proceeded to walk my wife through the inspection. She was very happy with how well he treated her, was knowledgeable and adapt to answering questions, and even interacted with our small dog. The inspection lasted about 20minutes, after which the tech provided input on necessary improvements; she trusted his advice and we installed the new safety springs. As an extra request from us, the technician also provided a quote for upgrading our garage door & opener, but did not pressure a purchase at this time. I was very impressed with Goodrow Door Solutions, and when the time comes, will certainly be calling them again for our upgrade!

They came out in advance to provide an estimate along with a door panel sample. The work was done well, on time, when scheduled, and in accord with the estimate. Only issue was that they could not enable my built-in remote in my 2009 Honda (or in our much older Toyota) to work. The handheld remotes do work. Very pleasant to deal with.

I had a very good experience and the door looks and works great. There were 2 minor issues along the way, which Jay resolved professionally and without any hassle. It was a pleasure working with them and I would definitely highly recommend them.
