Our automatic garage door gears had stopped working & soon thereafter I noticed a deal from Angie's list for a tune up, with a replacement of rollers. We wanted this anyway so we purchased the deal and Chris also made the repairs at the same time. He was excellent in following up with me even when I wasn't able to get back to him. The work was performed without any problems whatsoever.

Arrived on time and worked around the other contractors who were here that day (a bathroom renovation for some reason ended up turning our house into Grand Central Station on the day Goodrow was scheduled to come, but the guys from Goodrow were very professional and were able to work around all the other people and get their work done quickly and efficiently). Initially, they were just going to do the work that came with the Big Deal I'd purchased. The point of buying the Deal was to make my garage door quieter as the baby's nursery was right over the garage. We talked about that for a bit and the guys from Goodrow noted that the biggest contributor to the noise was actually the old chain-based drive system we had on the door (one that was already 12 years old and would need to be replaced in a few years). They had a belt-drive system in their van (they carry one around for just such a circumstance) and were able to install it in another couple of hours. The resulting system is much quieter and doesn't wake up the baby anywhere near as often. The Goodrow guys didn't pressure me in any way - just mentioned the option when I mentioned the problem I was having. I was very satisfied with their work and will be bringing them back to do the other garage door (and replace the outside remote control pad) soon.

Goodrow door solutions showed up on time, which is a big plus. We originally contacted them to "tune up" our garage door. However, a few days before our appointment, the automatic garage door (motor) broke. The motor stopped working. They removed the motor from the ceiling and showed us why it was broken and that it needed to be replaced (it was 10 years old). They replaced the motor right on the spot. I highly recommend them.

I purchased garage door servicing for two garage doors through an Angies List deal. We moved into our house 4 1/2 years ago and had never had the garage doors serviced; I'm not sure when or if they were ever serviced prior to our moving in. I had to email Goodrow to schedule the service since they didn't contact me after the deal was purchased, but other than that little glitch everything was perfect. They showed up when scheduled and did a fine job. Two technicians, including the owner, performed the work. They moved some stuff in the garage that was in the way, serviced everything, replaced a few worn parts (at an extra charge that they reviewed with me first) and even reprogrammed our outside access box and the access button in my minivan that I'd never figured out how to use. Great service, very pleasant, and I'm so pleased to be able to use the access box and button that I couldn't use before! I will definitely have them come back when I need the garage doors serviced again.

The job was done exceptionally well. Goodrow Door Solutions was prompt and the service was great. I will definitely use them in the future.

They are super friendly and responsive. The doors are more quiet now. My garage door openers work better now too. They weren't able to program my car with the garage door opener but that might be because the opener isn't compatible with the car system. I am not sure if I got my money's worth, however. I'm not really sure beyond the rollers and the remotes what they did. The technician left a note instead of knocking on the door to talk to us before he left. So it left me feeling unsure. But, as I said, responsive, friendly, and my garage doors are working better, so I guess all-in-all it was a good experience.

Ken stopped by and discussed all of the options. Once we decided what we wanted, Ken and Jay provided a detailed estimate. The order was placed and approximately 3 weeks later they were ready to be installed. Ken called and we decided on a an installation date/time. Ken provided a two hour window and arrived as expected. The work was done as expected with no problems. Very professional company with quality people.

Jay was friendly, prompt, and professional. He tuned up both doors, which was an unexpected surprise. I'd definitely use them again!

It went very well. There's not a lot to tell. The service man was delayed in arriving but once he arrived he was professional and did a great job.

Shortly after I purchased the Big Deal, I started receiving phone calls from the company to schedule the work. They called several times and left messages, as well as an email. Some people might be bothered by this, but I appreciated their persistence. It was much better than a company that doesn't return calls or follow through. When we finally connected, the work was explained in easy to understand terms and an appointment was scheduled for only a few days later. On the day of the work, the technician arrived promptly (actually, a few minutes early!). He performed the tune-up quickly and then explained the additional work he could see was necessary. The cost of the additional work was very reasonable. The entire process took a little more than an hour. The door had been sticking in the cold weather and I would have to pull it up manually on many days. It was also very noisy because everything was old, damaged, and rickety. Now it goes up smoothly, quietly, and on its own. I'm so happy with my garage door tune-up, I don't know why I waited so long to get one.

This was a great deal. They were on time and very professional. They went over door options for the future and even made a follow up call to us to make sure everything was still working.

Everything went extremely well. I have had major issue in finding a decent garage door company. The person who installed my doors 8 years ago never returned a call from the day I paid him and I have called other companies to do service and have frequently either not gotten calls or have had no-shows to appointments I schedule. These guys were easy to get on the phone, easy to schedule an appointment with, and showed up on time. Jay who came out was extremely professional and did a good job. They showed me everything they had done before they left. I would absolutely call these guys again for any issues I run into or for regular service.

When the doors started to stick or only go half way up, a couple of months later, I called Jay again. He came out and did some adjustments, but felt that the motor was really old and suggested I replace it. The door motor was well over 25 years, so I thought it was a good idea. He only had the more expensive motor on the truck, but because of that, he charged me for the less expensive motor. In any case, it was installed that day and it is working fine. The person fixing my door was highly efficient and effective. He arrived quickly, and knew exactly what to do to fix my door. He had the proper parts in his van. I was very happy with the service and would HIGHLY recommend Goodrow Door Solutions.

They came in and quickly performed the maintenance on my garage doors. Additionally, they made some badly needed repairs in a most appreciated way- they assessed it accurately, made the repairs, didn't try to oversell, and were very attentive. I recommend them highly.

After a delivery vehicle drove into our garage door, we looked for a company to install the new replacement door. Of several companies that we spoke with Goodrow was the most flexible in accepting and bidding on the work. Required was that the door had to meet the specifications of our condo management so that it was compatible with the other doors in the complex. Goodrow readily agreed to submit samples of the work they planned to do and the final sample perfectly matched the requirements. They built the door, installed it, made the requested adjustments and performed completely to our expectations. The price also was very competitive and also in line with our expectations. I highly recommend Jay and Ken for any garage door replacement or repair.

They were the great and the visit went well. They were quick, competent, and personable.

Overall everything was fine, these were the best door guys I've ever had working for me.

I purchased the Big Deal for a Garage Door Reconditioning plus New Quiet Nylon Rollers. It was very easy to make an appointment with Goodrow that worked for my schedule. Ken and Jay showed up on time and walked me through the work they would be doing on the door. Ken noted that some brackets needed replacing for $34 ($8 each for 4 brackets/wire) above the Big Deal price, which I had them do. They were done with the work in approximately a half hour. They explained the work they had done and answered any questions I had. They also explained that the springs were in fine condition currently, but given their age, they could need replacing at some point relatively soon. I liked that they explained future issues to keep an eye on and did not try to push any work that was not necessary. The work was done this morning so everything seems good. Overall, Goodrow was professional, prompt and did good work. I will certainly keep them in mind for future work on my garage door.
