Quality Preferred Painting

This painting crew was amazing. Very attentive to every small detail and very good at their profession. Their work was expert but they were very fast non the less. The painters were very considerate and even moved furniture (since I am having hand surgery next week). I was highly impressed with their pride in work and their painting know how. The bedroom that they painted looks flawless top to bottom. And they totally cleaned up afterwards! Steve's men are great workers and I would use them again. Thanks so much.

These guys were amazing. From the quality of their work to their overall attitude towards the job, my family, and myself it was of the highest quality. I would use them over and over again. They took the time to keep the job site clean and orderly while they were here and each evening when they left. The attention to details was like nothing I have seen. They hand washed gutters, down spouts and windows. They repaired any nail holes and fixed poor carpentry work. The trim was hand painted with the utmost cair.

Steve and his crew were back about two months after they finished many ceiling in my house. I had to get some of the rooms painted and he was the first one I called. The ceilings made the walls look really bad and I wanted to get the work done before summer. (If you hire him to do your ceilings, consider having them paint at the same time because it saves everyone time and money!) My 95 year-old house is looking newer with each project that they do. I know it is never going to be perfect but a good paint job by guys who know what they are doing is a great investment. Prior to painting they prepped my windowsills and baseboard covers for fresh paint. They look pristine and not their age. Also, Steve recommended painting the risers and banister a black and they look great. It wasn't part of my original plan. I am glad he suggested it. They also patched holes and skim coated one wall that was in need of some TLC. I used to have someone paint for me and she did a fine job but the depth of the work that needs to be done on this house requires a professional. Also, they bring the supplies and even picked up my paint at the contractor price. I have a few more jobs in mind for them. I'm taking the summer off from big projects in the house but Steve and his crew will be back to do more work in the future.

When Steve came to quote me on the job I instantly got the impression he was a perfectionist. He told me how he would fix things and what the plan was for the job. And the price quote happened to be right in there where I expected it to fall. The final product showed the quality of the work done by the team. The ceilings are crack free and gleaming white. I didn't get the right size molding so Steve took time out of his schedule to make sure we had longer pieces to eliminate the potential seam lines. What I appreciated about the crew that worked on my home is that they respected my house. They cleaned up afterwards and left things as they found them. Also, all of the guys who did various pieces of the job were very nice and came in smiling. My 95 year old needs a little more TLC so I'll be hiring Steve again to do more jobs around the house. I already have a few jobs in mind for Steve and team in the near future. Now I just need to replenish the bank account.

Our house has been completely transformed. I am very pleased with the quality of the work. You can't tell where any of the patches are, and the lengths they went to to get the job done were amazing. They worked around other contractors, accommodated our schedule, and above all were professional, neat, and punctual.

Steve's crew did an excellent job. They were also extremely friendly and did everything they could to accommodate us while they were working. The quality was excellent and they took much care in cleaning up every day before they left. I HIGHLY recommend them.

Steve and Justin are terrific! Very nice and professional people to work with. Returned my texts/ calls promptly and the quality of the work is top -notch. I would definitely call them again for any repairs needed.

We ended up having the basement sealed and painted in one day. The crew that arrived was fast friendly and efficient. Early morning text is best for nailing down appointments, he's a busy guy.

I've used Steve and his crew twice before in the past, so I knew they would do quality work. After we had a giant bay window installed in our home, along with 9 replacement windows and two new construction windows, Steve's team came in to do the painting and staining of the trim and affected wall areas. They did a great job, even under "special circumstances": my wife had a surprise birthday party for me scheduled in our home one week after they started (construction took longer than expected), and she was secretly trying to get Steve's team to rush to help make the place presentable in time. The bay window was a beast to get done, especially considering my wife decided she wanted the main shelf part stained instead of painted, and the construction crew had damage some of the wood in that area. They worked tirelessly to make it look great though, even putting in artful touches to make the damaged areas look like natural knots in the wood. I think in the end they did 5 or 6 coats of stain and poly on it to make it really gleam. In the end they got all the visible areas done in time for the party, for which my wife was very grateful. And the work looks fabulous, as always. Quality Preferred Painting are my "go-to" team for any painting work we have done, and I'd hire them again in a second.

Steve's crew did a fantastic job repairing the damage done by a fallen tree after a summer storm and the extra repairs discovered when they started (rotting house sill). They arrived when they said they would, were clear about what they were working on and what they had left to do and did a great job with everything. They cleaned up before each weekend and when they were all finished. The guys were all nice, professional, and made sure we were satisfied with their work. We would gladly work with then again and would highly recommend them.

They were fantastic! Fromm quote to completion Steve, the owner, was in constant contact throughout. They showed up every day promptly at 730 am and worked through to the end of each day. The foreman on site was very knowledgeable and would touch base with me each and every day to explain what had been accomplished the past day and any questions he had for me about the paint job. Additionally, our house being a Tudor is harder than many to paint. They did extensive prep work and took great pride in doing a professional job. We had some siding to replace. Steve always was there to inspect, giving us a very fair price to do this extra work. If you are afraid of having your flower beds or bushes ruined by painters, no worries with these guys. The flowers looked like nothing had every happened. I don't know how they did it, but it shows the extra effort that this team shows their customers. I could not recommend more highly!

Tried to get an estimate. Just an exercise in phone tag. Did not call when he said he would get back, Apparantly has enough work.

Called Quality Painting because of their excellent ratings on Angie's List. We had a really tight window before moving into our new home, and just wanted some rooms in bad shape painted. We did not even have time to have someone come out to do the quote, so Steve gave me a price for 3 guys for 3 days, based on the rooms' dimensions and how long he thought it would take them to get it done. Steve gave me a list of supplies to buy and also his contractors' discount to use at the store. The guys were here at 7:30 or before each day and ready to work. They quickly assessed the job and got the window treatments down, which I hadn't been able to get to. They did a fantastic job patching and prepping the walls, which were in really rough shape in some spots. The main painter pointed out how discolored the ceiling was in 2/4 rooms, he said if I picked up the paint, they'd get those 2 ceilings done in the same time. Once he was doing the ceiling, he also cleaned my skylight & screen and dusted the beams in the family room, saying he was up there anyway. That was going the extra mile. They cleaned up and rehung the window treatments when they were done. The painting turned out beautifully, were punctual and polite, they cleaned up well, and went the extra mile while they were here. I'm marking the price as B because I didn't really have time to compare quotes and went with Quality Painting based on their reviews.

They showed up on time and were very informative. They made sure to clean up when the job was completed. We are very pleased with the service.

I called on 10/10/13 and the recording said that my call was very important to him. So I left a message. Must not have been too important, I never received a call back. I tried calling several more times and only got the machine and did not call back. What I'd recommend in this instance for Wallpaper hanging, is ask if you can where you bought the Wallpaper. I bought mine at Drive In Paint Mart on Gallivan Blvd in Dorchester and they lady Mim that works there was super helpful and gave me two names to call. Peter B answered his phone, and was not scared off doing a job in the city, in fact has over 30 years experience. He's going to do the job for me, yea!! FYI: His # is 781-706-3174

They are an excellent company to work with. They are very responsive and have superior workmanship.

Everything went very smoothly. We bought the paint ourselves, and the job was 2 days with 2 men each day. Everything came out great, and they were a pleasure to deal with. He knew exactly what my budget was, promised to stay under it, and he did. When we had a minor issue with the bathroom due to moisture I contacted Steve about it and he came out and took care of it himself immediately at no additional cost and there were no issues after that. I would definitely use them again.

It came out fine. I chose them because they were certified as a lead safe painter and I had an indoor lead issue. I don't know if that came through or not. I liked their professionalism. Their price was expensive but at that time, I thought it was worthy.

The painters arrived 15 minutes early which I appreciated. They came in and discussed the repair work needed with each other and each took one room. I had removed all the wall hangings and had moved the furniture and all the appliances out of the rooms. They brought in canvas cloths to cover the rugs and floors. They also covered the pieces of furniture left in the living room and the stove and refrigerator in the kitchen. Since the repair work required sanding, they also hung canvas over the doorways to the middle room, since that was not being worked on, to minimize the dust. Wednesday was used to repair hairline cracks in the living room and sand the walls. The kitchen needed peeling spots repaired and the chimney wall needed the outside corner rebuilt. They also explained to me what repairs they were doing and how they were doing them. Then the walls and woodwork were sanded to prepare for undercoating. They cleaned everything up at the end of the day. Thursday was left for the repair work to dry sufficiently. They came back on Friday to finish sanding all the repaired spots and then painted both rooms. The walls are smooth like satin now and the rooms look great. They worked quietly and I hardly knew they were here. Everything was cleaned up and removed when they finished. I am very pleased with the job and would recommend them to anyone.

I contacted Steve for a quote for wallpaper installation on three walls in our condo. Contact was prompt and straight forward. After an agreement on time and price, we scheduled a day for installation. The wallpaper installer arrived on time, was efficient, and did a wonderful job. Everything from start to finish was ideal and I would highly recommend them.

Steve & his crew did a great job, very professional & reasonable. I would absolutely hire them again.

After purchasing a home, my wife and I realized that the bedrooms probably had not been painted since the house was built in 1993 (they were still in a flat white that looked like primer, and just looked dingy). I called Quality Preferred based on good reviews on Angie's List, and explained to Steve that we had just moved in, and were thinking about getting the bedrooms repainted (we had left all of the furniture on the first floor while we waited for new carpet to be installed upstairs. Steve said if we could hold off on the carpet for a few days, he would be able to get the painting done faster (they wouldn't have to protect the floors), and said he could come out right away. I was able to get the carpet install pushed back a week, and Steve showed up the following day (Tuesday) to go over the job. I explained that we would like 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms painted, including the ceilings, walls, and trim. Steve said he could have 3 guys there the next day at 7:30. The next morning, Steve and 2 other guys showed up at exactly 7:30, and got to work. It ended up taking 4 days (with 2-3 guys each day) to complete the work, and each day they showed up at exactly 7:30 and everyone was very friendly and professional. I am very happy with all of the work they performed, and feel that Steve went out of his way to accomodate my very tight schedule. I will definitely be calling him in the future when I need to have work done.
