Very, very expensive, as in > $400 for 35 minutes of work. Their work may be complete, but I think you can find someone else for a better price who is just as good.

A guy came out to do an estimate on the work and told my husband about how easy the job was going to be. We figured that because we are essentially relocation the washer and dryer to the floor above where they are now it wasn't going to be too bad. We got an email quoting us for $2500, not itemized. There is no way that we would agree to pay that much money without understanding what it was for. Though this is the first time we've needed plumbing work done and are not experts, $2500 seems completely outrageous. They have good reviews here on Angie's List but we should have checked Yelp - the reviews there are horrible. We were also charged a $49.95 dispatch fee for them to come out and perform the estimate.

The cleaning and checkup was uneventful and no hidden charges although the problem of flame escaping the chamber was raised, but was fine for the time being. Then they returned on an early morning when the furnace pilot would not stay lit and is was below 20 degrees outside. They charged a service call fee, but the rate for repairing the motor and thermo couple was fair and we decided with the need they had to fix it now. When we called them about a cleaning and checkup this season they would only give us the rate for a service call of $50 and no estimate for what the cleaning would cost. This is unacceptable and while extra work would be not covered ofcourse I would like to have a number for the cleaning job before arriving. This season we went with someone else and have since replaced the furnace with them as well.

The work went fine. I felt like he way overcharged me. He didn't even come out that same night, he came out the next morning. This was an excessive charge. They told me that they could come out at midnight and I said that wouldn't work. Somebody showed up at 10:00 PM and I wasn't home, my wife had no idea who they were and that they couldn't do anything in the dark, so they came back out the next morning.

I contacted the company, they apologized and let me know they didn't service my area. I requested a refund from Angie's List

The company was so professional and helpful. They went out of their way help me and I was a new customer for them. Although it was expensive, the job was done well and the repairman was extremely pleasant. My basement was left clean and tidy. I was very grateful.

The technician found the dishwasher wasn't working properly and the toilet needed a new flapper. He said to fix the toilet it would be around $200. I had replaced the flapper about six month's prior. The total cost of the material were about $10. I felt I was getting robbed since I was out of town. He had to call his supervisor and they did the job for the $160. I felt I had no choice to pay so I did.

The salesperson, Derek, was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He made me trust the company immediately. The crew who did the installation were professional, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful as well. They arrived on time as promised, cleaned up after themselves (looks better than it did when they got there!), did everything they were hired to do, took away all their trash, were careful of the plants outdoors when working on installing pipes, and did a very professional looking job.

Based on the reviews on Angie's list, I had scheduled an appointment with Papalia about a week back for one of their sales guys to give me a quote for an A/c and Furnace replacement. The individual was scheduled to come in between 12.00 and 2.00 PM today. There were no calls from them confirming their estimated ETA today. Since I had to take the whole day off, I called them around 11.30 AM and was told that the sales person would arrive between 12.00 and 2.00 PM. At about 2.20 PM, I finally called them again since I hadn't seen or heard from the sales person. The lady who picked up the phone was very unapologetic and told me that the sales person is running late and will only get here around 3.30 or 4.00 PM. Clearly they don't need my business and have no value for my time. Their attitude has been very un-professional. In the past when people are running late, the professional ones have the courtesy of calling ahead and letting me know about this. This is the last time I will be calling them.

The quote for the work was $1500, far too expensive relative to others. Replacing the valve alone was quoted at over $500 for a part that costs $35. To their credit, they were very professional, on-time and friendly. The service call was $75.

Even though I had called on Monday I got the job scheduled for that Thursday. I was the first appointment of the day. Adam was the plumber who came to the house. I showed him the cutoff valve that was stuck. The valve controls the outdoor faucet. Adam understood the problem but had to drive to Fitchburg to get parts. That delayed the start of the job for about 40 minutes. In the future they should/will carry some lengths of the plastic pipe in the truck. I understand that until they arrive to see the problem they don't know what length of pipes they may need, so it was not a problem. Anyway, once Adam had the pipe he quickly cut out the stuck valve and began the replacement process. I asked why the original valve would not work. He showed me that the original installation of the cutoff valve left a glob of glue inside the valve that prevented the internal ball joint from turning. Once the new valve was installed I asked to see it working and it did. Then after a few minutes to let the glue set, I opened the cutoff valve and went outside to turn on the water faucet. All was in good working order. During the job Adam and I talked about how he grew up in the Leominster area. He was a bit of a historian. I was happy with the job and the conversation. I highly recommend Papalia Plumbing and Heating Inc. for future plumbing work.

I spoke with the provider and it turns out they won't be able to do the work in the timeframe that I need it done.

They told me they do not service my area.

I ended up fixing the problem myself. I did speak with the company once and they were great to deal with.

Vendor arrived on time. Checked what was required. Took a while to get parts, but vendor kept me informed of progress and 2nd appointment went without issue. Problem was solved and has not caused issues since installation.

They did a great job once they were here, but getting them to come back after the initial visit was difficult. A part needed to be ordered and they estimated about 2 weeks for delivery, but I needed to call them after 4 weeks to insist they come out and finish. It seems like the part was just waiting as well, since they were able to get to me a day or two after my initial call, although it's possible they pulled off some miracles to have it show up quickly. I feel they did a great job on the actual plumbing though, and I'm happy with it, but waiting a month to finally get the job done soured my experience a bit. I expect it's that they just have a lot going on because they do good work, but I think you have to speak up or they'll just keep your case a lower priority on their schedule. That's a guess on my part of course, but that's certainly the impression I was left with.

They replaced the shut off valves underneath the kitchen sink and extended the length of the pipes. I have used them on and off for small jobs in the past. They have always been professional and helpful. The service worked out fine.

I think the job went well. I was impressed on their follow through. I have an old house so we've got these giant radiators. But I felt confident that they came back and fixed everything they said they were going to fix. So I was very happy. They were very professional.
