I had a plumbing issues that they diagnosed as a tree root that was interfering with my sewage outflow, and a leak in the PVC fitting. They gave me an estimate of $1400 dollars for something that would take an hour. This is absurd.

I contacted them and they immediately replied. After I set up a time to have a technician come and give me an estimate I was informed that there would be a $50 "dispatch fee". I declined the appointment, (and the fee), and they got back to me saying that they could apply the $50 toward the work that would be done. The move made me feel that I was then being cornered. I will not be contacting them again

Gold service. Easy to schedule appointment - accurate estimate - on time to start job - finished in estimated time - left all sites clean and neat. Work definitely deserves an A.

Great response over the phone. Plumber showed up with in time estimate. Received a half hour warning call. The plumber was kind, courteous. Not only installed dishwasher, but installed the correct hook ups that the previous owner had neglected to have done. Smooth experience.

They did a good job but they were very expensive compared to other plumbers. We needed something else during the plumbing job and that was what was so expensive. They did what they described in the big deal. It is an add on business. The guy was good.

Their 'comfort specialist' came out to look at the existing systems in my home as they're outdated. Spent little time going around the house and figuring out logistics. Came back to me a few days later with an exorbitantly inflated price for replacing the systems. When I asked for a breakdown to better understand how they came up with the price, I was told that it was a lump sum- take it or leave it. Decided to leave it. I also ran this by a mechanical engineer who designs residential HVAC systems and his opinion was that the price was extremely inflated. Make sure you know what you're getting into before moving forward with these crooks.

They could have called back to see if everything was ok.

/Very professional and punctual, however the price was BEYOND ridiculous. Papalia was OVER $1600.00 more than the next closest estimate, and they charged me $50.00 to perform an estimate that was free from every other plumber. Buyer BEWARE, shop around. These prices are not anywhere near competitive. The estimate from the company I chose to go with was $2785.00 and was not the lowest estimate I received.

Two guys showed up and changed the cartridges for two bathroom faucets that were leaking. It took them about 30 min. The old cartridges were stuck on so it took some effort to get them out. They were going to charge me the visit fee $45 as well, but I complained and they took that out. They did a good job, but the price is too high for the amount of work.

Excellent Mike S. was very proffesional and provided excellent service explained all issues to me in a detailed manner that I could understand.

It went well; the faucet and piping works well. This review is years later so I don't remember many details.

The guys showed up just a little bit early, and were very professional - even put on booties to come into the house. They even saved me some money by pointing out that some of the repairs I requested (fixing the stopper on a sink, replacing a disposal) weren't necessary, there were cheaper options. The repair were done quickly, and they explained what was done, leaving behind a warranty statement. The only slight disappointment was the fact that they had an undisclosed $50 "visit" fee that they charge for just showing up. It made the special offer ($160 for $200 worth of service) less of a bargain than it could have been.

Many thanks to Keith and Evan for diagnosing our boiler problem, and arranging to install a new boiler with one day's notice. They were flexible and helpful at a time when we especially needed it due to personal circumstances and we are very grateful.

It went very well. They were easy to get a human on the phone and nice to talk to. They scheduled someone to come out very quickly and the person that came out was on time, professional and knew what he was doing. It was a tricky problem but the technician stayed until he figured it out. This is my second time using them and if I need any service in the future I'll call them again. I guess they might be on the expensive, I didn't shop around. I wanted it done right and I feel I got that.

Arrived promptly with expectation to provide quote for gas insert. Provided quote and was ready to be on his way, but I asked if he could inspect leaking shower since he was already present. He inspected the shower and repaired with parts already in the truck. I was very pleased with the professionalism and flexibility to meet the off-the-cuff request.

Brad and his assistant arrived earlier than we expected. They were very knowledgeable, expert and efficient in their job performance. They were also very patient and clearly explained what they were doing and why and answered all my husband's questions. I hope we get the same team if and when we need plumbing services again.

Arrived when expected. Plumbing leak rotted out the flue piping. A previous contractor had changed the flue piping so it was not to code. Had to create a new access for the flue in the chimney. Incorrect placement of the flue piping caused carbon deposits on the vent at the top of the water heater and on the burner inside the water heater. Finished all the work in about 2 1/2 hours. Seemed very expensive, but we haven't had a plumber visit since 2005.

I found their service to be very professional. He was right on time, first time I've ever had that happen with a service provider!

Won't tell me the range of the cost for a simple service. Required $60 fee just to come give me a quote. I don't think it is that hard to tell prospective customer something like "In general, we charge $X per hour + parts, putting in drain takes usually Y to Z hours". Charing a fee to find out your pricing is unprofessional. And if you any good, you can definitely provide someone a simple range. Doesn't seem to be a problem for other companies.

I scheduled a meeting 3 weeks ago and they even gave me the technician's name. I take the day off to wait for them, but they didn't show up. I called and was told that my appointment is not in their system. So annoying when you take the day off to wait for somebody who doesn't show up. The only reason I didn't give F is because the representative who I called is polite and not that unprofessional.

The work was completed a couple of weeks ago. Dan, the technician, was very professional and friendly. In total it cost just less than $200 ( I don't have the receipt in front of me). He tried to sell me a maintenance plan, which seemed reasonable, but did not push at all when I told him I wasn't interested. The only issue I had was that I had to schedule two appointments: the technician was a half hour late to the first appointment so I called the company. After about 15 minutes on the phone ( they had trouble finding my information) they told me that the tech had called in sick and that they were in the process of calling customers. My appointment was at 7:30 in the morning so I wish they had called me before I called them at 8. I rescheduled and when the day of the appointment arrived, Dan was about a half hour early but sat out in his truck until the designated time. So, though I was disappointed with my initial interactions, the final one was very positive.

It turned out just fine. There were no problems. They were excellent. Nothing I would say outstanding but I had no problems. They got the work done expeditiously. They were fine.

It didn't work exactly like they said it's going to work. It was a little bit rough getting there. The quality of the work was there. I disagree with some of the things that they were approaching it. They're expensive. They were responsive.

We were over charged a little bit. We had a problem. We called them and they came and fixed it. We talked to some people after wards and told them basically what they did and what they charged us. The people who know told us that they over charged us. That is the one complaint that I have. They came and did what they needed to do. I would use them in future but also hope that they will be more reasonable and upfront with their pricing. If I called them, I would have that discussion that we felt that we got taken a little bit the first time they came out.We would also ask for upfront fair pricing.

They charge $50 just to go out, which I was aware of. Also, they seem to be a very large chain, so you could get very different service from one person to the next. I used Papalia once before and was happy with the service but this time was different. $800 seems like a h*** of a lot of money for less than 2 hours worth of work. Materials couldn't have possibly cost more than $50 (1.5 section of pipe and plumbers putty) . . . so plumbers get over $400 dollars an hour for labor? yikes! Add to that the the finish on the tub was chipped and cracked during the job. It's a small chip and a hairline crack and I plan on having the tub refinished anyway but for $400 an hour I'd at least expect no damage done. From now on I'm going to find a plumber that isn't a chain. Wasn't sure how to rate "professionalism" . . . he was very polite and seemed like a good guy, despite the cost and damage done to the tub. Though he did try to collect a "50% down payment" on a second job that I had him write a quote for. lol.
