My wife and I hired Essential Painting company to paint the exterior of our house and stain our deck. We chose them after reviewing quotes from 5 companies total. They were very competitively priced and we are extremely happy with the color and quality of our home. The house had some rot on the side, they were able to provide in house carpentry to the shingles and a window frame, something not all the other companies even offered. They were quick and professional, also they were not overbooked like some other painting companies we looked at. In the end, Essential Painting was the company we found that met all our expectations and the results were fantastic. I would definitely use them again.

It was a relatively small job - they were here a day and a half and feel that we paid WAY too much for the work. He quoted me for some work that I didn't need/want but still billed us for it. The two workers here did not speak any English so it was difficult to know if they understood what the actual task was. At the end of the two days it all got painted, some windows were painted shut which was no good.

I had a fantastic experience! Matt and company were here on time and did a great job! I had no idea my rooms could look so good! They scrape the peeling paint, patched all the holes and imperfections with joint compound, and sanded everything and left the walls even. They covered everything not paint-able with plastic and drop clothes in order to prevent paint splatter and cleaned up really well when done!

Everything about our interaction with Matt and Al and their carpenter was and continues to be excellent. We had a horrible experience with a previous "carpenter" and, thank goodness, Essential was working at several other houses on our street and we were fortunate to hire them to correct, repair and finish the work the previous person had left incomplete and poorly done. We now have a list of projects that we hope Essential will do for us over a period of time.

It was an excellent experience. Matt and his crew were thorough and did a fantastic job. Matt was very quick in getting an estimate to me and was able to start work very soon after. We needed some extra carpentry work due to rot in some of the upper areas of the house. Matt’s crew was able to replace/repair these areas as well. The crew was extremely nice to work with and I’d recommend to anyone. They have completed 2 houses on my street and it looks like a few more on the street may hire Essential too.

Matt and Al were were professional from the get go. Matt came over first to learn about the job and give a quote. The quote was sent quickly in a day as promised. That was a very good sign. There were other quotes I got as well from others as well. The quote from Matt was not the cheapest, but I wanted a quality job not just a cheap one. Based on my discussions with everyone and the way Matt handled the whole situation, I decided to go with them. I wanted the work to be completed by a certain date and they accommodated the schedule. They started promptly on the scheduled date and started early. They pressure washed the whole exterior first and did a thorough job with that. Then the carpenter replaced the porch posts and replaced any rotten wood and trim around the house. Their crew then sanded the whole exterior of the house. Any loose wood was nailed and wood fillers used as appropriate. They were very patient with every step and did not rush through any step. The team’s attention to detail was really impressive. I am sure I would have taken shortcuts even if I did it myself. Gladly I didn’t and their team handled this who process meticulously. The weather was really not helping with constant rain across many days. So that delayed the work a little, but the crew was always on site whenever the weather allowed them to work. I am sure they spent more days than expected because of the poor weather. Eventually the clouds cleared and the team primed the whole house. Many times I have seen that primers are skipped. When I painted indoors a couple of years ago, even I skipped primers. They used Benjamin Moore paints and not a cheap one. They were originally planning to use Ben brand of BM paints. I requested it be updated to regal select, for which I agreed to pay the difference. The primer was tinted BM primer and subsequently they sprayed the paint following the primer, when the primer dried. I was originally worried about spraying due to overspill and overshoot. But their crew prepared very well by taping and using plastic sheets where needed. There was no signs of overspray anywhere. Finally they painted the door, trims and windows by hand. Places where they didn’t want to spray were also painted by hand. To top it off, some downspouts from the gutter had to be replaced and they charged me only for the materials. Overall an excellent job by the team. I was very happy throughout the process. Matt kept me informed throughout and communication was excellent. I am glad I went with them. I am very happy with the end result and the way the whole job was handled.

Essential Painting far exceeded our expectations. They produce amazing results and are true professionals. We had so many carpentry needs and they were able to do everything. If your house needs to be "revamped" this is the company for you. Essential Painting Company has fair prices, is highly communicative and delivers amazing results.

It went well. They responded quickly to the request and had a quote ready in two days. Pressure-washed three decks, replaced three rotted decking planks and installed a cap rail on one deck that had never been quite finished. Primed and painted decks and rails.

I can’t say enough good things about the team at Essential Painting! They had to repair some areas in our wood siding and did a great job with that. They replaced 1 of our gutters that had broken over the winter and ran out for supplies that we missed. They even worked both weekend days to take advantage of the nice weather. The paint and trim look amazing!! They were very polite and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area.
