+ -1 moreOverall, the experience was great. I needed help right away, and he was very prompt. He went through the permit at town hall too, and talked to the plumbing inspector to get everything organized. He was also very efficient, and we're planning on having him back again.

He coordinated other contractors to remove the oil furnaces and oil tanks. The job went very smoothly. I was traveling when he did the work and even sent me pictures of his work.

+ 0 morein my great wisdom was that I decided to contact only the two highest rated vendors on Angies list. Matt was all over it and the other fellow responded to neither email or cell phone call (I would personally recommend a cell call to Matt, not an email (unless the latter is a follow up to provide detail so Matt would be prepared on site, because he certainly was!).
Description of Work: Matt was principally called in to help us with a leaking deep soak tub that seemed to cause water to flow into the unit when baths were taken (for our little kid). Since he was going to be there anyway, we also asked him to address poor water flow in the kitchen sink, bring order to some baseboard radiators that were in poor repair and also restore an assembly in one of two sinks in the master bathroom. Matt was very flexible with his timing and came across as being anxious to perform the work quickly in a timeframe that suited us. He quickly assessed the issue with the master tub and fixed it (turns out the issue was not where the hardware store guy had guessed), the water flow in in the kitchen sink is rockin' and the baseboard radiators look very good. He was quite respectful, credible and professional onsite. No wonder he gets so many A's. One other point that I might make is

+ -1 moreT flow came (same day as my initial call) to my condo to replace beeswax seal under my toilet, since my downstairs neighbor was complaining about water on his ceiling. T Flow found a mess - the toilet flange seemed to be missing, but was later discovered under some cement laid as base for my bathroom tile. They dug out old flange and replaced it, also replaced beeswax seal. Afterwards they tested results to see if the problem in my neighbor's unit was fixed - since leak was slow, we waited another week - but no additional water has been seen. I feel very relieved. The plumber says the new flange should last 100 years!I am very pleased with the job they did, which took about 3 hrs. The plumber and his assistant worked together and afterwards the assistant explained the details of my bill. I received 10% off for being a senior citizen.
Description of Work: T flow replaced the flange and beeswax seal under my toilet, which was leaking into the unit below.

The work wasn't cheap but it was thorough and professional. My wife and I are very pleased with the service and will for sure use them again when something goes wrong (and it will).
Description of Work: In a 3 condominium building converted from a 2 family built in 1922, T Flow replaced the over-flow tank from the original boiler heating my unit and upgraded the system. They also replaced the drain pipe from my pantry sink which required doing work in the first floor unit as well as work in the basement.

Description of Work: I had a sewer ejecter replaced. I was so impressed with the service. They arrived promptly at 9:00a.m. assessed the situation,quoted me the price for the sewer ejecter and labor. It was reasonable amount of money for the job. The job was completed in less than two hours. You would never have known they were in my house. Everything was left nice and clean and the sewer ejecter works great. I would never hesitate to call them again for any plumbing issues.Professionally, financially, I received a great service.

Being Friday afternoon I was scared I would have to go the weekend without hot water. I thought his rate was extremely reasonable especially considering the emergency nature of the job.

I called them today (President's Day) at 10:30am. They were here at 1:30pm and they just left. The quoted price? Exact. Now that's service. As usual they were friendly and professional. There's no doubt I would call them again.

I appreciated the attention to keeping the house clean (dropcloths down the hall from the bathroom) in addition to the quality of the final work, and the time Matt took to explain to me what he was doing and why. I will hire T-flow again for any plumbing or gas work that comes up.
Description of Work: Removed bad vinyl caulk from bathtub and bathroom sink. Replaced bathtub caulk with pure silicone, and sink caulk with (hopefully) better vinyl caulk.

+ 0 moreHeading through our basement on the way to work early in the morning I noticed our hot water tank leaking pretty badly. While standing there I called T-Flow and spoke to Matt. After having me describe the problem and check a couple of things on the tank I heard him call to his partner "Don't unload the truck, we're not going to be here this morning." While I went to work he was able to reschedule his less urgent job, get on site, get a new hot water tank on site and have it installed by lunchtime. Matt and T-Flow have been the plumbers for our owner occupied three-family house for several years now. He's professional, fair, honest and skilled; in short the kind of tradesman you dream of finding for your home.

They found a bad seal on the floor tiles and the water leaked through. They suggested to clean and seal with silicone. They were very honest and professional to my elderly parents. They could have easily taken advantage but DIDNT. I will definitely use again.

+ -1 moreI do most all of my own work, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, while I am no expert I am fairly handy but I know when I need help. This problem was a tough one because I could not identify the exact location of the leak. In a case like this you are at the mercy of the service people you hire, the worst possible senario. Matt was just great. He and his assistant were polite, professional and honest and it gets no better than that.
Description of Work: I found Matt through my Mother who had a long standing drain problem with her washing machine, she had a couple of plumbers try over the years with no real solution, Matt fixed it. I had a home owners nightmare, a leak in an enclosed wall, not a major leak but one I discovered while cleaning out a bedroom closet to have new carpets installed. The carpet wasn't soaked but it was wet and I could see where the wood and wall was stained. I tried for a couple of days to determine what was leaking, the wall abutted my showers fixtures. It could have been the drain, overflow, the control or the shower head. I called Matt, T-Flow, and left a message and he called back in about an hour, I told him the problem and that it wasn't an emergency. He said he could be there on Friday but it the leak got worse just to call him and he would get there sooner. He showed up on Friday with his assistant Henry in uniform. I showed him the problem and he layed out drop cloth's in the bedroom and bathroom and than proceded to through a process of elimination plus a cool device he puts to his ear and the wall to hear drips in the wall. When he was sure that he had it narrowed down he made a small hole in the closet wall and identified the source of the leak. It was an easy fix that required only some teflon tape and caulking. He cleaned up his mess and charged me just $150.00 for a couple of hours work. He could have told me that I need a new control or had a hole in the pipe and I would have not known the differance, the bill could have been $1000.00 or more.

However, when I contacted Matt regarding a further plumbing issue from the first visit he was very attentive and prompt with helping to resolve the issue. He arrived on-time, was polite, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem and cleaned up. The toilet area seems to be secure now and I'm satisfied with the result. Furthermore, he did not charge for this visit or completed work. I really appreciate your gesture, Matt. Thanks so much!

+ -1 moreOverall, Matt's workmanship is great. Also, he arrived on-time and was very personable. I like the fact that my new tiles were covered before any work got started. There was a small amount of water escaping from the bottom of a loose-fitted toilet. It was removed with easy and care so that the flange and wax ring could be inspected, which turned out to be in perfect condition. So we agreed that the toilet just needed to be securely adjusted and tightened. I was content with the diagnosis and left the work area so he could finish up. Yet, without my knowledge, supposedly there were new wax rings installed and I was charged for not one but two. So I am a bit turned-off that the need for those products were not discussed BEFORE installation. As a consumer, it makes me feel uncomfortable when a repair situation is not fully disclosed and surprise charges show up on a bill without prior consent. From start to finish, the duration of work took about a half hour. So I was a bit disappointed with the overall cost for such a simple job.
Description of Work: Loose-fitting toilet was secured due to water leaking from bottom. Leaky water valve was also tightened.

+ -1 moreWe just moved into our new house, and one of the water taps for the washing machine was stuck. In trying to free it up, I snapped off the spigot. I called T-Flow, and the next day they were there - on time, first thing in the morning. They replaced the tap and then moved the washing machines into place for me as well. They'll be the first ones I call if I need a plumber again.
