Description of Work: Moved a 2 bedroom apartment of furniture and boxes to a house. Manny, Sergio and Mike L (aka "the new guy") were terrific!

Description of Work: "I had an interstate move with RARE movers and my two gentlemen who packed and moved me were very professional and courteous. I had wrapped most of my fragile items in bubble wrap and disassembled my furniture- and everything made the move unscathed. |The only negative was the actual cost of the move was ~30% more than the estimated cost (est 2800- actual 3600). Thankfully, there was a $100 Angie's list discount! Please be considerate of that if cost is a major factor in your decision."

Description of Work: They moved my merchandise from Salem MA to Caldwell ID. |They opened several boxes that were neatly packed and taped and removed all the stuff that was in those boxes and threw them into plastic bags or just left them unpacked. |When the load was delivered to Caldwell the police were called because a valuable coin collection that had been neatly packed away was scattered and gone through and was delivered in open containers and not the neat organized containers that it was picked up in. The police spent 4 hours investigating the incident and wrote up a report documenting the incident. The drivers seemed impaired and were uncooperative until the police showed up. There was also damage done to some pieces of furniture ( broken glass on a coffee table, scratches on other wood furniture etc. Because I was not on the receiving end but on the sending end, I was on the phone with my girlfriend and the Caldwell ID police Dept during the entire unloading process and have the police report attesting to the above information . I would not recommend this company because I believe that they have no right to rifle through your merchandise, that is neatly packed and secured when they picked it up. The reason that they gave me for unpacking my boxes (containing the coins and other valuable merchandise) was to put it in plastic bags or to just leave them unpacked, to make more room to fit another persons merchandise on the same truck. I have never heard of a moving company unpacking cartons that have been counted and inventoried BY THEIR OWN EMPLOYEES AND THE PRICE BASED ON THAT INVENTORY, and then repacked (or not) to make room for them to get more product on their truck. |This is an underhanded, unscrupulous company that should not be allowed to do business in the US. |Signed, |Paul Cerretani |251 Newbury St Lot 20 |Peabody MA 01960 |978-210-2367 |PS I was unable to get to Caldwell for a week or 2 later and the products were in such a shambles I could not determine exactly what was missing, but something that stuck out immediately were 5 grade 70 (excellent) solid silver Walking Librety Silver Dollers. Valued at 99.00 a piece. The rest of the collection was in such a shambles it would have taken me weeks to determine what was missing. It had been packed in valuable wooden collectible boxes and delivered in plastic trash bags. Again this information is available from the Caldwell ID police Dept. |A note to Angie's List, I hold you people partially responsible for having this Company on your recommended company's list. Shame on you for not doing your homework.

Description of Work: Kamaul Reid and his men moved us from Massachusetts to Virginia and made what could have been a very nerve racking time a pleasant experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone planing a move either short or long distance.

Description of Work: First, we bought the coupon via Angie's list and I contacted them with it, but they did not credit us for the $. The movers were extremely nice guys, but they scratched ALL of our brand new hardwood floors - in every single room. Lots of broken stuff. I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for (and sometimes not even that).

Description of Work: 3rd time I have used them - they are wonderful! Very prompt and fast! Also everyone that has come to the house when moving us has been so pleasant to talk to, everything was perfect!

Description of Work: We had office furniture arriving from overseas. The logistics company delivery the furiture brought it only to our building but would not even remove it from the truck so we hired RARE to unload the truck, get all the furniture to our 6th floor office suite using only 1 small service elevator, unpack and place the furniture in our office. The team from RARE was prompt, the hustled, and the took all of the packaging materials with them which was a bonus.

Description of Work: They moved you furniture and packed boxes which was pre packed and organized well ahead of time toake the move easier and keep track of everything. The only complaint is that I paid for the service up front well in advance for a reason because I'm on a tight budget and at the end the movers asked for additional obey for fuel that I was never told about up front. It made for an uncomfortable situation. They did the work in much less time than I paid for so I think they made a fair wage. It's hidden costs in services that really infuriate people and it seems a little deceptive. Though I did think these movers were pretty polite and careful moving my home to a new home.

Description of Work: We had used Rare Moving before, and since it was a good experience we went with them again. We needed to move a double garage full of stuff, plus several rooms of furniture, books and other household goods to a storage unit. All this during the horrible February snow storms. They did a great job coming out for the estimate and giving us some good advice re packing, etc. Then, on the day of the move, they arrived on time, were very careful about not tracking in snow and ice, and had the truck packed up very efficiently. Then, on the other end, at the storage unit, they unloaded everything and made very good use of the space. They were friendly, courteous, and careful.

Additionally moved some furniture to the first floor to help with an Estate Sale we were about to hold. |Household contents are due to be delivered at the end of July, anticipating that will go just as smoothly. |Very courteous group, took great care in packing our artwork and glass items.

Description of Work: Rare Moving and Trucking sent two gentlemen with a large truck to East Bridgewater, MA to load up their truck with our belongings and move them to Harwich, MA. |They showed up 10 min. early and were packed and ready to go in an hour. Everything was carefully wrapped up in packing blankets and place in their truck. |They don't mess around. They are quick, efficient and very reassuring that everything will be okay. |I met them at the destination where they unloaded their truck and was happy to place the items where ever I directed them to. |These two guys were extremely friendly and courteous from start to finish. |I would highly recommend Rare Movers and Trucking to anyone who is planning on moving. |I can see why they get a high rating!! |Also, thank you Angie's List for this online service!!

Description of Work: They moved me to a two bedroom apartment. They wrapped up my electronics, and when one of the screens was damaged they said it must have been already damaged when it was in storage, even though they taped it up and then the movers almost left it on the truck, so I had to ask for it, then it was hand carried back to my apartment....but it must have been damaged initially in storage, right?
