I had special medical circumstances, and unexpected delays, but these guys ended up hitting their estimate anyway. Extremely impressed with their efficiency and professionalism.

RARE Movers are nothing sort of exceptional. From the booking of the quote down to the move they were very effective at communicating and extremely careful of my items to make sure they were not damaged. I commend their attention to detail and efficiency in getting the move done in a quick and efficient fashion. If you need need movers look no further, this company is top notch.

The owner Kamaul Reid was a pleasure to work with. This is my third move with them, but the first out of state. It was seamless. They were super flexible, including getting a bigger truck at the last minute because I did not calculate perfectly. The staff working with Kamaul were exceptional. They showed a tremendous amount of care for each item and took pride in going above and beyond. They were professional, courteous, and super strong. I would highly recommend them for any type of move!

Had never hired a professional moving company before and did not know what to expect, especially with some unique aspects to the move. The movers ended up being very nice guys, very helpful and considerate. We underestimated how much we had to move (standard for every move) by a significant amount. Because of that even though the final price was obviously higher than the quote, it was a very reasonable increase. No issues with damaged property or anything, would certainly hire again.

The team Kamaul sent me was truly amazing - they were so careful with my things, took care not to ding walls and had a wonderful attitude. Most importantly they respected my request to keep masks on all day: I was extremely comfortable with them. I have worked with a lot of moving companies and this group is a cut above the normal men you get sent. I am very particular and was amazed at the efficiency of the group. In fact, I had a few pieces I wanted moved as I started to unpack - upstairs to downstairs and vice versa - I called Kamaul back and he sent me my same leader in less than a week to take care of it. These guys are truly unbelievable - a very fair price for the white glove treatment you get!!!

The staff and management at Rare in Braintree were awesome. We had a crazy move/storage situation. They handled it extremely well, were very flexible, and super helpful. Definitely use them again!!

Move went great. RARE Moving stepped in on one-day notice when prior moving arrangements fell through at the last minute. Velvet in the office was understanding of our situation, responsive and courteous; Brandon and Brooks (sp.?) were on time, careful, efficient and professional in every respect. The whole move was accomplished in less than two hours.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with movers. If I ever have to move again, I will definitely use this company. First, they sent someone to my home to walk through to discuss the move with me and provide me with a more accurate quote. I really appreciated that time since we were able to talk through how my furniture would be cared for. I have many antique pieces and needed a company that knew how to protect and move them properly. The movers were respectful, courteous, professional and conscientious. Not only did they work quickly, but they were careful with my furniture and knew how to pack everything properly to protect it. Nothing got damaged in my move and they treated both my home and my belongings as if it was their own. I highly recommend this company for any type of moving services.

The movers were friendly and professional, however they did not know how to properly disconnect my furniture. They kept telling me it was taking so long because many of the screws were stripped. What should have take 4-6 hours took 8 1/2 hours. Not necessary since I moved most to the boxes myself and had basic one bedroom to move. I was very disappointed on the price since I had them come over to estimate in person and was told 4-6 hours maximum. It was an extremely slow process since I had moved the year before and had the entire apartment packed for me and moved, and that took 8 hours with full packing included.

I called Rare to discuss a price for my move from MA to RI. Unlike other companies I had contacted, the owner, Kamaul, came to my house to give me an accurate price. On moving day, a hot Monday in July, Locksley and Sherrod arrived right on time. They wasted no time carefully wrapping my furniture, and carefully loading their truck from my first floor home. They were both approachable, and professional. I was moving into a third floor walk up with no elevator. Once at the apartment, they once again set right to work. All of my furniture was reassembled, and placed exactly where I requested. At no point did they waste even a moment! There was an issue that arose, requiring that I speak with the office. My question was answered, and immediately resolved to my satisfaction. I would recommend Rare without reservation, and would not hesitate to use them again myself. Fran G.

First I must disclose this is the 5th or 6th time I have used their services. Again everything went extremely smooth. I called about a week in advance of the move for a quote which was received within 24 hours. The price was right in the range I expected. Kamaul and Ciaran were extremely easy to work with again and made the process very easy. I even had to change the date of the move and add a second drop off point a few days before the move and they were able to accommodate it for us. The moving team, Lamont and Mike, were professional and worked very quickly. They wrapped every piece of furniture and loaded up the truck quick. Everything arrived in perfect condition. They were also very pleasant and had a great sense of humor. They move was for my elderly mother and they were very respectful of her and had a great time talking and kidding with her. She even gave them hugs goodbye when the move was completed. I will definetly use their services again next time I need a move.

The initial estimate was performed by Ciaran Crawford. He was very kind and helpful and we greatly appreciated having a "not to exceed" total to go by. He gave us some helpful ideas about labeling and packing. The crew leader, Lamont Mouton was very efficient, communicative and thorough. All 4 of the 1st crew went above and beyond. They were organized, prompt and treated our belongings as if they were their own. I agree with the motto on the company truck- "Efficient workers who care". There were a few dings on furniture etc. but nothing too major. The kick plate for a refrigerator got replaced by Rare Movers and our moving dolly got returned. Lamont lead the 2nd crew that helped move us in to our new home and they turned our house into a home. Two of the 3 gentlemen on this crew (not including Lamont) were real go getters and kept working til the very end. The other gentleman seemed new and not as interested. We greatly appreciated their effort to put boxes and furniture where it needed to be so we would not have to move too many things again once they left.

RARE was amazing from the first call to the final move. We contacted them on Angie's List only 5 days before our moving date and asked if they could pack our four bedroom house and move us to another across town. They responded within an hour and booked our packing and moving dates. The crew was careful, professional, and efficient. I have never seen a group work so hard. We would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking to move.

The company was extremely reliable, upfront on everything, prompt, friendly, and professional. The price for the short-notice job was very steep, but I didn't expect anything different. They turned well on a dime, and I paid for what I got. The longer-range estimate for follow-on work was quite reasonable.

No one showed and when I called , the owner admitted that are he forgot the appointment. Needless to say, not a good first impression. How do you trust someone with your move when they can't show up for an estimate?

Everything moved just fine. The one piece of furniture that collapsed on delivery was particle board. They had warned us repeatedly about the risk of moving assembled PB furniture. We took the risk on this one item and lost - our responsibility, not RARe's. A++++ rating to the guys packing, driving, delivering and unpacking. They worked their butts off, never stopped moving and were very friendly and professional. They worked so hard we worried for their health. We could not have asked for a better group of guys. Huzzah! "C" rating for the estimation services, which substantially underestimated the size of the job, the time to pack/unpack and the number of needed workers. Estimate was for $7k, cost ended up being just over $10k. 3 workers were estimated for the delivery and unpacking but 5 were sent (and needed) after mgmt saw the packing effort miscalculation. Still, it was less than half of the estimates we received from 2 other moving companies. On top of the $10k invoice, there was nearly $2k in tips, food and snacks. Very glad the 2nd truck was sent - it was obviously needed. "A" rating for communications with management. Emailed answers/responses were surprisingly prompt [even off hours], open, forthcoming and helpful. I'd definitely use RARe again - I'd simply be skeptical of the estimate and increase it by about 30% before comparing it to those of other companies.

I really had a good experience with the mover. I would give an A to all of their categories. I also recommended them to one of my friends.

Everything went fairly smoothly. One futon part got lost in transit & The Rare Movers went to the store to replace it. They were cheerful despite the extreme heat.

The chair did not fit in the doorway. Without discussion, the crew began to contact the manufacturer to determine the best way to disassemble the chair to fit it through the doorway. I just assumed I would have to find a new location for the chair. After a few phone calls (and about 30 mins later), the chair was in the room. I am always impressed by the crews willingness to complete a job satisfactorily. They will keep working until we say we are happy with something (even if it's three locations later). Have another job for them to be completed in Sept. Look forward to hiring Kamaul and crew next month. Thank you for being an honest and reliable company!

Perfect from start. Quick, fair estimate, accomodated my schedule, arrived on time, both in Boston and NYC, and the drivers were nice, polite, quick and professional.
