NARROW WAY PLUMBING & HEATING

It went well. I felt comfortable. I was leaving the country and they showed me how to turn the water off and assured me that it would be safe. They were very professional and came back out to finish it when I returned.

Matt was prompt in coming out to give me an estimate. He worked hard to find ways to use as much of the existing cabinets and flooring to save money in the renovation. He brought in an electrician and painter who both did excellent work. I was referred to a stone place where I could purchase a remnant piece of granite. This was cut and fitted for the counter top, which resulted in some savings, The work did take a bit longer than expected but the final result was good. I have also had Narrow Way do a number of other plumbing jobs and have been pleased with the results.

It was fine. I thought they were very good at getting back with me. I talked with the guy on the phone a lot beforehand and he was good at getting me information.

I had used them past and they were good, but their quote was higher than who went with. They were going to use copper line equipment and all of that, but I just chose to go with the different contractor. They were pretty pretty straightforward and even called me back to get some feedback why I did not go with them.

I have not used this company for over 1.5 yrs. When I did, they were wonderful.things could have changed.

The experience overall was very nice. The plumber arrived on time and performed services professionally and fixed problems quickly and efficiently. Good company to do business with and I would recommend them to friends.

I recently bought a house and am in the process of remodeling the basement. I needed a plumber to come out and provide an estimate on the cost of moving some pipes that are in the middle of the room's ceiling. Considering all the positive reviews here, I was very surprised to have such a poor experience. The plumber never showed up for the scheduled appointment, never called, and I never heard back from the office. I consider this very unprofessional. My time and money are too valuable to waste on people I can't rely on. I will find another plumber.

They were a little late, about 3 hours late. Other than that though, they did a good job.

Rating A. Excellent work at a reasonable price with a flat rate (no meter running). Responsive, friendly, and eager to accommodate our scheduling issues (stove delivery). All staff (technician, dispatches, office managers) were helpful.

Matt responded within an hour and had himself and a helper over very quickly, they determined the issue, he educated me on the options then went ahead and fixed the leak. A++ service! I would highly recommend them to anyone that has any plumbing or heating needs

Narrow Way has been doing plumbing jobs for us for 7 or 8 years and they have never failed us. Each of their professionals is knowledgeable and conscientious; they explain what they are doing and listen to suggestions. Also, pricing is very reasonable.

They took care of the issue. It was perfect experience.

I was pleased that he could do it within the day. He helped me with the problem of getting one on a Saturday where most places were closed. I did call two other places that I have used in the past but Matt Nelson, the owner found a place and also helped me to find the place on the internet where my water heater was registered. The water heater was stil under warranty so I didn't have to pay for a new one. The other two places said that they could come on Monday so my tenants would have been without hot water for three days. I picked up the water heater and brought it home before noontime. At one thirty, his worker, Lewis, arrived and completed the work by three fifteen. Lewis took the old one away. I am happy for my tenants who can take hot showers tonight. It was great and friendly service. I will use them again.

I am in the middle of moving 2 1/2 hours from the home where the repairs had to be made. I am only there on Saturdays and Sundays. The Narrow Way receptionist made special arrangements to have someone come on a Saturday and did not charge me extra -- most appreciated! The gentleman who came (Lewis) was later than expected, but that was all right, since I was packing. He was very polite, clean and personable. He repaired the toilet quickly,and it's perfect. That night when I showered, the leak in the tub still was not fixed. I called Monday AM to report this and to give them the name of a friend who could help in my absence. The company sent another person out right away (I do not know his name.) They did not charge me for this visit since the problem was not fixed the first time. I understand (at a distance, from my friend) that the problem is fixed, but my friend found another leak which I didn't know about. The new plumber fixed it, but I haven't a clue what I'll be charged; I will be billed and I'm guessing the charge will reasonable. I think Lewis spent a lot of time on his cell phone and perhaps didn't really put in the time for which he charged. But when my friend brought this to the attention of the company, they volunteered to make adjustments. All in all, a positive experience for something that is usually painful! Thank you, Narrow Way!

Our usual plumber was unable to keep his appointment, and Narrow Way saved the day - coming in the next morning after we called to cap off an old sink so we could remove the cabinet to have our floors refinished. They were polite and efficient and the price was reasonable.

They charged a lot for the services. I did complain about it, and they did take the $6 off it. It was a Good Friday when they were here. They charged for repairing the faucet that was dripping because it started due to them, and they should have not charged me for that. They were expensive. They did take their time to fix it.

Matt Nelson (owner of Narrow Way) originally came in to give me a quote on installing a water heater but while he was here, I asked him to inspect the heating system and give a quote on fixing it. He knew steam heating systems very well and quickly identified the problem (3 other plumbers couldn't figure out what was wrong). Then he gave me a quote that was 1/3 of the other quotes I got. Before we committed to him, my husband had some questions regarding some of the work and Matt made an effort to reach my husband and patiently answered all of the questions. Once we committed him to the work, we got an appointment within a week and Matt and his crew came on time. On the day, they called us before coming over so that we could turn up the heat and not freeze while they work on it for the rest of the day. They worked by themselves in the basement and cleaned up once they were done. The LOUD BANGING is now gone and heat is finally going to ALL the radiators in the house. YEAH! We are very happy with Narrow Way and we now use them as our plumber/heating guru. Throughout the whole process, they were considerate, efficient, prompt and most importantly, very patient in addressing all of our concerns. Since I'm a woman, many contractors don't take me seriously, but I didn't feel that way with Narrow Way at all....highly recommended!

I live in a very "difficult" (i.e. old) condo building, and my unit has suffered a plethora of plumbing issues over the last few years. Narrow Way has fixed all of my radiators, fixed my toilet twice, and will be the company I choose to finally replace my toilet with a more efficient one. They promptly respond to emergency phone calls (once at 7am and once on a Saturday), show up on time, and are always professional.

I came home to find water running down the back wall of my utility closet. It was very late and I had to turn the water off to all 6 units of my condo building. I called many places the next morning, and Narrow Way was the first place that could send someone out that day. The plumber came out within 2 hours. He had to search to find the point of the leak, opening the sheet rock upstairs, he could not reach the leak from that point. Noted that the pipes were poorly insulated and stuffed insulation that I happened to have at the house in the walls as far as he could reach around the pipes. Broke through the ceiling above the leak and found the area in the pipe that led to my hot water that needed to be repaired. let me tell you, this was no easy place to work, my hot water heater is on a shelf about 3 feet off the ground, behind it is my gas furnace and behind that is the wall where he was working..... Needless to say, it was a good thing he was young and thin!! Took him a long time as he had to be Houdini to do the work... I think I got quite a bargain.

They are very reliable and responsive. The quality of their work is good and they also complete the work quickly. They have a good range of services and their pricing is competitive.

They were great. They were patient with my incomplete knowledge of the permitting process. They were flexible about when they would come to work including coming during a snow storm so that we could get back into our place before Christmas. The work was professional and efficient.

They are good plumbers. They are very nice. They are lovely people. The cleaned up well after themselves. Two people have come here at separate times. They just struck me as thoughtful people. I have recommended them to other people.

Quite well. They came in even though it was Thanksgiving Friday, and fixed the problem even though it took longer than expected.
