Steve, the narrow way plumbing technician came today and installed a new water heater replacing one that gave out after six years. He was professional, courteous and worked diligently completing the job in incredible time. He knew exactly what he was doing. It was amazing to watch. Steve never missed a beat. I would engage Narrow Way Plumbing & Heating without any hesitation. The installation was perfect in every sense. They are the go-to for all plumbing services without question. The best there is. I have used Narrow Way for several years and every time I have received excellent prompt service. I live down in Houston, Texas and it is difficult to manage the property I own in Jamaica Plain. Narrow Way has come to my rescue numerous times and performed outstanding. I would highly recommend their services.

They are very responsive. We had a little problem with one of the things and they came right out and fixed it. They provide good customer service.

They repaired the problem and will be back to replace the faulty part.

I use a company called Narrow Way Plumbing & Heating. They were here Christmas eve of 2016. The cost was about $1200.

Great, Jose the technician, mentioned that I would need a new sink. I went to pick it up and Jose installed it in 30 minutes.

Great. They didn't make it the day originally scheduled but tried to get in touch and sent a technician the next day who diagnosed that the pilot was out. He not only lit it but explained very clearly how next time WE could light it ourselves.

This review is long overdue! I called Narrow Way because I was getting water in my basement but could not figure out where it was coming from. Mario came out that day and found that my main drain from the upstairs bathroom was cracked and some areas were rotted out from years of use....my house was almost a hundred years old. Service was great......he gave me an accurate estimate of what it would cost and it was not an easy job. He had to open up a portion of the wall and did the least minimal damage.....removing 10 feet of cast iron drain and replacing it with a new one. I was very satisfied and would recommend them.

We suddenly noticed recently that our kitchen sink was occasionally leaking, and suspected an issue with the garbage disposal but couldn't figure out what it was. José came over and solved the mystery, discovering a hole that had been punched right through the side of the thing-- perhaps from a sharp corn holder that had fallen into it? [Kids, don't put sharp objects in your garbage disposal.] He very honestly provided us with the option of either buying the new disposal that he had brought along, or keeping the older machine and trying to repair it. We went with the second option, and José eagerly worked on how to fix it. Eventually he found a small screw that he was able to plug the hole with for an effective solution. Great! We saved money, re-used a piece of equipment that otherwise would have gone into landfill, and got to meet a fine plumber whom we'll certainly turn to again in the future.

This is a great company to work with. Honest, straightforward and helpful. Highly recommended

I can't remember the cost as it was over 2 years ago, but there was a request for a review. He was responsive (talkative, too), but focused on doing the job and doing it well and right. Swift response, refreshing after a run-around with another service. Fair price, cleaned up after himself, had a trainee with him and provided adequate supervision.

They are reliable, I always use them. They are in the neighborhood. I have never had to call them back because something wasn't right. They came on time.

I?ve been meaning to write a review for a while. First used Narrow way when I was freaked out by the chimney cleaners about needing to replace 2 flue liners. Matt was honest, put my mind to rest, explained that I didn?t have to replace the liners that minute and explained about converting from oil to gas and venting to the outside, not the chimney. He gave me a reasonable verbal quote for two systems but I delayed and the next thing I knew my crappy old oil tank was leaking. Since it was the middle of winter I needed to do something right away. Matt worked diligently to get my tenants oil furnace connected to a new oil tank despite the fact that he doesn?t usually work with forced hot air systems. He also explained about the 0% interest heat loan. Because I?m a forced hot air system and not hot water he gave me a quote for his portion plumbing work and the name of someone else who would do the remainder of the conversion work. There was a bit of back and forth trying to get the quotes. I ended up going with someone else who could do the whole job from beginning to end, (I'm in the middle of that process) but would definitely hire Narrow Way again.

It was a very simple job and they did great job. They were very nice. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the situation. Actually, my downstairs neighbor used them as well, they ask for a plumbing recommendation and I gave them Narrow Way Plumbing & Heating and they were delighted. They're not Angie's list members but they made a point of telling me how much positive experience it was.

My pipes were frozen so he took my space heater and placed it near the frozen water meter. Water thawed and a pipe burst so I called them back. They returned and replaced the pipe that burst. I was billed much later which I'm uncomfortable with since it could've incurred a late fee. It didn't so all is well that ends well?.

Contacted Narrow Way and spoke with Laura who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about this issue. Mario from Narrow Way was dispatched the same day to start the inspection process of the lines. Mario was very knowledgeable of this type of inspection required by National Grid. Mario took care of everything explaining the entire process to me. Mario was so nice and professional. The following day an Inspector came out to the premises to check everything, and everything met what was required. In the future I will contact Narrow Way for any problems I may have.

They did a great job. There was a mix up with our condo management company on how to access the main shutoff for the building which ended up wasting an hour, but later on I received a call from the owner of Narrow Way Plumbing apologizing and they covered the cost of that wasted time. I was very appreciative and thought that it was the standup and right thing to do. I highly recommend this plumbing company.

It went well. The plumber was friendly and informative. He explained what he did to fix the toilet and explained the components of replacing the sink.

Matt came in to investigate a leak in our walk in master shower. He determined the leak wasn't due to any of the plumbing but rather to the tiling around the shower. Spent a lot of time describing how he thought it was happening, and why he didn't like the quality of the original work. And he gave me a referral to a very good flooring person to follow up about the tiling. So no real work done, but the investigative time spent was very thorough, and he was very helpful.

The plumber arrived on time and performed the work promptly. He needed to get parts at a supply store, but still completed the job same day. He cleaned the area and disposed of the removed parts. I have used Narrow Way over the past 10 years for both emergency (leaking toilets) and regular plumbing jobs (leaky faucet, replace old toilet). They respond quickly and do the job right. The people on the phone and in the field are all a pleasure to deal with. I'll hire them next time I have any plumbing issues.

They were excellent. They showed up on time, charged the going rate. They were quick and easy to deal with.

Matt and his team installed a new steam boiler and tankless hot water heater when we converted from oil to gas. Matt was very helpful and did a good job explaining options and detailing work in his estimate. We had some issues to navigate venting the boiler, and he was able to find a good solution. We were a sort of test case for him with a new tankless water heater manufacturer, Navien. There were some issues at first with the product, but Matt worked diligently with the company to get the problems resolved. There was also a minor issue in the wiring of the boiler that left us without heat for a night. However, Matt was there first thing in the morning to get it resolved. Overall, Matt and his team did great work and they were able to resolve problems as they arose. On subsequent calls for service, they were generally responsive. But in one instance we were bumped back for two days because of other emergencies/jobs.

They just had a good price and did a good job.

Helpful explanation and discussion of options at outset,. Clean, first class work and timely follow-ups to complete in timely fashion. Working with Charlie was a delight.

Louis was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended.
