I called the 3 top rated electricians in the area from Angie's list, one didn't even call me back, John Vespa quoted me $200 over the phone, and D's electric came and did the job in 5 minutes for only $110!

I submitted an estimate request over the company website on the weekend and received an e-mail response quickly on Monday. I spoke with Kim and received a rough estimate. She suggested scheduling a date and time for David to come to confirm the estimate and, if I chose to proceed, he could be prepared to do the install immediately. David came at the appointed time and confirmed the estimate, so I asked him to do it. He and his assistant were very professional and efficient and figured out a way to route the new wiring from the circuit breaker without making any holes in the drywall in the hallway (and, aside from the new outlet, only a small hole, which they repaired, in the closet). He also provided an inexpensive, but far better solution to the obscured light switch in the closet containing the dryer. They cleaned up the work areas before they left.

Two workers arrived on time; they were courteous and got right to work. The ceiling fan going into the living room was replacing a chandelier, which they removed first. Then, they assembled the fan and installed it. It came with a wall switch, which they installed, also. Then they moved on to install a second ceiling fan in a bedroom, replacing a simple lighting fixture. They needed to add a little framing in the ceiling to support the weight of the fan, but that didn't take too long, and it was all done in no time, including another wall switch. I was pleased with how smoothly it all went. They were courteous and clean, and experienced with this kind of work.

Spoke to Kim(office manager)who set up appointment for an estimate and set up a tentative date in advance so that if I liked the quote, I wouldn't have to wait an additional # of weeks to get the work done. Dave came promptly at the time requested, gave me a fair quote and some ideas on how best to rectify the lighting situation. He sent a complete, written quote with alternatives and was available for questions. On the scheduled work day he once again arrived promptly, did the job in a day while I was at work, and cleaned up. I hardly knew he had been there, except that I now had exactly the lighting I wanted, at a reasonable price and very little of the hassle that one sometimes expects when dealing with contractors.

Most importantly they came out the same day so I could get peace of mind about the possible electrical hazard. They were very nice and only charged us the minimum for coming out since it ended up not being an electrical problem. That was still $99 though, and as a new homeowner I have no idea if that's standard but it seems like a lot to me for basically not needing to do any work. They did give good suggestions though for dealing with the mouse problem.

They arrived at the very tail end of their quoted time, and only let me know when I called. They arrived however and brought the dimmer switch, and replaced it quickly. I was in the middle of another task and they did it all without disturbing me, taking the time to entertain my dog while I was on the phone, and even billing me later which worked out great. Over all it was a very efficient process and will use them again.

Overall, they were prompt, cleaned up after themselves and answered all my questions.

As a landlord, I had been hiring a another local company to repair a constantly tripping circuit breaker in an apartment, but after many visits, the problem continued. Finally, I stopped doing business with them and hired D's Electric which had advertised heavily in local neighborhood papers. The technician was very thoughtful and figured out a way to resolve the problem. This work was done about one year ago and have had no electrical problems since.

I got home from a trip and found the electricity in half the house was off. I checked the circuit breakers and they were ok. Then I checked the main electric input circuit breaker and it was in the off position and would not reset. I checked Angies list and telephoned D's. They said that they were in the neighborhood and would come right over. They arrived in 30 minutes, replaced the breaker quickly (had one in the truck). Then I asked them to check a broken dimmer in the kitchen for replacement. They called the supplier, went out and got the new dimmer and installed it promptly. Great service, polite service personnel, low cost.

I liked everything about them. They were very prompt. They were courteous. They were professional. They were very knowledgable. They were also very tidy.

I have been with them for a while now and thus far I am still pleased. Their pricing is excellent, and their work is good. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if price is the top concern.

Called and spoke to Kim. Told her about the breaker panel not being labeled. She said they would come out and do that, of course no charge. I asked her if they could do the ceiling fans while they were here. I told her I just wanted it done, I didn't need an estimate beforehand. They came that week and completed all the tasks. Apparently, they had to do some extra work for the one ceiling fan and that is why the total was higher than I expected. Again, quality job.

I contacted D's Electric via their website and arranged an appointment for an estimate. Dave came at the time arranged and talked me through my choices; he was honest and direct about the options. I received a quotation a few days later and then booked the job with him. Dave's office manager, Kim Flaherty, was helpful and prompt with my email queries throughout, dealing with things such as the wording of the contract and getting an insurance certificate. On the day scheduled for the work, Dave and his assistant arrived on time, were very careful about keeping the apartment clean and using dropcloths to make sure no mess fell in the wrong places. They were pleasant to deal with and consulted with me during the day as they did the work. At the end of the day they cleaned up perfectly. The cost was exactly as quoted. All in all a great job.

They did an excellent job. They came on time, warned us when the power was being shut down, and the entire job was finished on time and the site was cleaned and left in perfect shape. The crew was professional, friendly, and accommodating as always. The job was done neatly and cleanly and we have had no issues at all with the work.

I'VE USED THE COMPANY SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME THEY HAVE BEEN RELIABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY DO OUTSTANDING WORK. DAVE AND HIS CREW WORKED EFFICIENTLY, CLEANED UP AFTERWARD, AND ADDRESSED ALL MY CONCERNS. DAVE ALSO MADE GREAT SUGGESTIONS DURING AN EXTENSIVE RENOVATION AND HELPED ME THINK THROUGH SOME COMPLICATED ISSUES. HE IS RESPECTFUL OF THE WORK HE DOES AND OF HIS CUSTOMER. THE COMPANY ALSO WORKED WELL WITH ANOTHER ELECTRIC COMPANY WHOSE WORK WAS PROBLEMATIC AND NEEDED TO BE REDONE. D'S WAS REASONABLE AND CONSIDERATE, AND MADE SURE THE JOB WAS RE-DONE PROPERLY. IT'S A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH THEM AND IT'S GREAT TO KNOW I CAN COUNT ON THEM.
