D's Electric

D's electric was fantastic with super professional service. We were told by our plumbers that we needed a 240V line to power a new hot water heater we were going to install. We asked D's to come and provide a quote and they brought to our attention that this upgrade was likely not necessary and the existing 208V line would be good enough. Not too often you get someone that honest who is willing to provide sound advice that takes a job away from them. We are still deciding on whether to use them for another project due to the budget of our condo association, but we would certainly try to use them again for future projects based on this interaction.

They have been working beautiful since they came and did the work. They arrived when said they would. They brought all of the equipment they needed. They were clean. They cleaned up whatever debris that was left. They were just very efficient, pleasant, and just worked very hard. The price was excellent. I would absolutely use them again in the future if need be.

Went well -- made some amazing discoveries in a 100+ year old house with lots of "handyman" additions. It's comforting to have someone experienced and has "seen it all" and can quickly suss out where there are current and future issues. Meticulous and tidy repairs on the interior along with careful clean-up.

I used them several weeks ago and I also am using them now. They are efficient, competent and prompt. They are here when they say they will be and take the amount of time to do the work that they they will. They gave us an estimate which they followed. As things came up which were a little bit different we discussed it with them when they pointed things out. Any adjustments we had to make were mutually agreeable. We were pleased with their work. We did bids and they were kind of in the middle of those who bid.

I had what I considered an electrical emergency and contacted D's Electric. Two friendly but very professinal electricians arrived at my door the same day I called with all they needed to fixed my electrical problem perfectly, quickly and neatly. So, I'm indebted to D'S Electric for a job well done, as well as to Angie's List for helping me fish for the best of the best contractors.

They are very efficient and we have used them before. I now use D's Electric exclusively. They are excellent and organized. They get the work done. Overall, we are very happy with the work they do for us.

Whole experience was very smooth. The company arrived when they said,reviewed the job-They called the next day with a quote and time frame. They e-mailed the contract. I signed it:they came,did the job well and left. All was smooth with no glitches.

Workers showed up on time, did the work well. No complaints. FYI, rate is $100/hour.

Pleasant and professional the whole way, from the phone call when I set up the appointment to the service call. They called to confirm the appointment and they were here right on time--a few minutes early in fact. They did work for me about 11-12 years ago and I've always been very satisfied. Highly recommend them.

D's Electric was able to squeeze us in last minute. We had a GFI outlet that stopped working and as a result our oven, dishwasher and garbage disposal would not work. Harvey and Sandro arrived on time, were pleasant, efficient, and cleaned up after the job. Very pleased with the work and would definitely use them again.

I've been working with them for fifteen to twenty years. They are excellent. The dispatcher's name is Kim and she's really smart. I called once and I didn't have any electrical service and I didn't know what it was. I could have called another company and they would have said that they would send someone out and they would have charged me for that. Kim told me not to do that. She told me just to poke around the wires because she didn't want someone to come out and charge me anything extra. So I did all that stuff and she got it back from me for free without charging me. She didn't cheat me. The person I use normally is Harvey and he is very good. He is really good, straight forward, smart, compassionate and excellent. I haven't got the bill yet from them but it's going to be $1500. They had to bring everything up to code because things aren't the same they were twenty years ago. My experience with them was excellent. I haven't compared their prices to anyone else but I'd rather pay more for someone I know that is going to do a good job. I didn't check with the other people regarding the price. They must be competitive just because they work in a working class area. I can absolutely trust them and leave my house to them when I go shopping. Everything about them is good. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

Electrical outlet was not working and there was an electrical fire smell when appliances were used. The company was called on a Sunday night. By Monday morning, they had returned my call and had two employees working by the afternoon. They fixed the problem in about 15 minutes. The did an excellent job in responding, finding the problem, and fixing it.

Very good experience with them. Rico was very helpful in discussing options -- a written estimate followed from the office quickly. The three-man crew arrived on time, worked fast and efficiently, and did good work. They cleaned and swept up fairly well, although lots of plaster dust remained. The stuff they use to fill holes in walls ("patch and paint") doesn't impress me, though.

Great! They were easy to get a hold of, came when they said they would, were forthcoming about what they thought needed to be done and what we could leave be. Some of the best contractors we've worked with.

These guys are too good to be true, yet they are true. I used D's Electrical for the first time a couple of months ago, to make some minor repairs to a fixture in my apartment. They did a great job, were very friendly, and I was completely satisfied. BUT today they outdid themselves. I was working in my study and heard a strange buzzing coming from my kitchen. I went to investigate and found all of my recessed lights flickering madly, and went I tried to shut them off the plate was so hot I almost burned my hand off. Yikes! Convinced I was on the verge of a serious electrical fire, I finally got the light off, ran to my phone, and called D's immediately. Within - I am not lying - SIXTY SECONDS of me hanging up, two friendly, competent electricians were at my door, eager to help. Now - maybe they DID just happen to have a truck in the area, and maybe they DID just happen to be free at that moment, and maybe they WERE driving right by my building when I called....but I prefer to believe they are just amazingly responsive! They fixed my dimmer, along with a couple of other little things I thought of while they were there, reassured me I would not be burning to death any time in the near future, and went on their way. They rock.

A team of two people arrived during the expected time window and got right to work. One started on the chandelier and the other spent some time with me discussing some options for the location of the ceiling fan and the wall switch, and the pros/cons of each. The first guy (working on the chandelier) worked so fast that when I went to check on his progress, he was almost done, and at that time I noticed that there was some discoloration on the ceiling where the old fixture used to be. I had purchased a ceiling medallion to cover that area in case this problem arose, but I hadn't mentioned it to him when he arrived, so I had to ask him to disconnect the chandelier and put the medallion up. He did this without complaint or any attitude, even though this was obviously a mistake on my part. In the mean time, the 2nd guy was working on the wiring for the ceiling fan, and the 1st guy joined him after finishing the chandelier. This proceeded smoothly and they got everything done without any issues. After they left, I did notice that there was a slight wobble in the fan (minor) and after a little inspection, I discovered that one of the fan blades wasn't screwed in tight, but that was easily fixed. I'm sure that if I had noticed this before they left, they would have addressed it quickly.

I contacted D's electric via their website, and received an email response the following day. They scheduled an appointment to review the work we needed done, and Nathan came to review the list. He was very congenial and seemed to take pride in both his ideas and work. When I suggested something, he would often make another suggestion to find out if I wanted something different, which was very helpful. They installed the lighting in our gutted dining room (four recessed and a new chandelier), installed a new back porch light and wired it to an existing switch, rewired another interior light, installed two hallway recessed lights and wired them to two switches upstairs. Considering we live in an old home (1920s), they did a great job of concealing any wall breaches, much like a good surgeon! Because we had no ceiling in the dining room, they scheduled another appointment to come back and hang our new chandelier at no extra charge. I was very pleased with the quality of work and the courteous professionalism everyone at D's electric possessed.
