Whenever I've had problems, Comcast has sent out somebody the next day. I'm happy with their service. Just a month ago, there was something wrong with my computer modem. They sent somebody out the next day to replace it. They have come over three to five times and have fixed everything well. I'm happy with them in that regard. At one point, they were charging me too much and I called them up. The lady there fixed the problem and brought the price down.

My analog-box remote stopped operating the volume correctly. I went to a branch office, where the remote was "reprogrammed." This didn't fix the problem so I scheduled a tech-support visit, having agreed to switch to a digital box if that was the only solution. Comcast agreed to my request that the tech person take the time to show me how to operate the new box. However, they sent a subcontractor, who refused to show me how to record programs with the new box connected to my VCR, saying "Don't you know how your own VCR works?" It turned out that the new setup wasn't compatible with the VCR. I then agreed to try DVR service; there were subsequent problems with that setup too. Eventually, through the Exec Office, I got ahold of a field supervisor who arranged for a patient, knowledgeable tech person to come to my home. Most of the regular phone reps were unhelpful, condescending, or both. Even with EO office, I had to insist on speaking to a top-level person, as its reps were also poor.
Description of Work: Swapped out malfunctioning analog cable box for a digital box; subsequently removed digital box and installed DVR.

It has been one of the worst experiences of my life. They came three times to get the cable working, and three times since. I went through three cable boxes before they found one that worked, and I am on my second EMTA (modem for the Internet and phone). I have continual outages on the phone, and regularly lose Internet, and occasionally lose Cable TV.

I'm satisfied with Comcast as my cable TV provider. The serviceman who did the installation explained everything to me very thoroughly. I am pleased that they send a real person out and that you can talk to a real person on the phone if you have any questions. I pay them monthly.

Comcast, they are hit or miss. You get people that know what they are doing and you can tell. It can be frustrating or it can be wonderful. Some of the people are really, really nice. You have no choice but to use them if you want cable.
Description of Work: Comcast upgraded all the cable boxes and installed a new router for my computer. They walked me through the process over the phone in about an hour.

Installation of cable modem and setup went smoothly (Comcast phone install was quite a different story). We're on a monthly plan that includes phone, cable, and internet; all work well. For high-speed internet they are the only game in our town.

WE'VE HAD COMCAST HIGH SPEED INTERNET SERVICE FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. WE MOVED INTO OUR HOME LAST YEAR. COMCAST REWIRED THE CABLE IN THE HOUSE. WE ALSO EXPERIENCED SOME CONNECTION PROBLEMS AND THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT TO THE HOUSE WITHIN THE SAME WEEK AS THE CALL AND REPAIR THE CABLE. THE REPAIRMEN REPLACED THE SPLITTER.
