It went beyond my highest expectations for a successful and relatively stress-free move. They were prompt, super nice (even humorous), efficient and very careful with my belongings. They discovered a wet condition in my storage area and helped me move the contents of a large box into a dry one. No matter what the problem or issue was, they calmly handled it without raising my stress level one bit!! I highly recommend Brookline Moving Co.

As a past mover I am picky about my moving experiences. I had a concierge service at work contact 6 local movers for quotes. Brookline Moving Co was the second cheapest which made me a little worried at first. I then checked Angies List and have only had positive experiences with Vendors that have all A ratings. I worked with Neil in the office who was easy to get in touch with and called the night before to make sure everything was still a green light. The movers called when they were on the way. Anyone can drive a truck but not everybody can wrap your belongings up quickly so they arrive in perfect condition. Jason is a master with tape and moving blankets. He and Javier made for a very efficient team. They were both very kind and gentle with my 87 year old mom. They offered to move anything she wanted help with before they left. They stuck to their quote even though I know we went a little over on time. They also didn't charge me for the few roles of tape they used. I would hire these guys again. I debated about trying to move the stuff myself since I have a pickup truck - so glad I hired Brookline Moving instead.

All of our interactions with Brookline Moving were positive, from the initial quoting to the actual day of the move. They were very willing to answer any and all of our questions, be flexible around how much to insure and how best to protect ourselves. Brookline was not the cheapest option, or the most expensive, however I believe they provided the best value for the price. On moving day the crew were extremely friendly and accommodating. We had elected to move the kitchen and other glass items (e.g. mirrors) ourselves. However we found that a number of the larger items (table tops) were proving too awkward for us. The crew happily packaged and added these items to the move. The day of delivery (the following day) was similarly uneventful. We had the same crew and they were fast and efficient in unloading the two trucks we had occupied. Every item coming off was verified for the location it should be delivered and they were happy to move items around when asked. A couple of the larger furniture pieces did get small nicks, which we noticed a couple of days later. A quick phone call to Brookline Moving resulted in them sending over a very professional furniture touchup person. Wonderful company and wonderful people. Highly recommended.

There was a little damage, and some excessive charges, but I was able to negotiate a satisfactory solution with them. Make sure you know what the extras will cost.

I was very happy to have hired these guys. I would, and do, highly recommend Brookline Moving Company. Patrick and Neil were great to work with, and were always available by phone and the crew was funny, personable, efficient, and organized.

These guys were absolutely fantastic. Their bid came in under several others, so we were worried they might charge more once they arrived, but they actually charged less than their estimate! They arrived on time, were very personable, and worked efficiently. They had already scoped out the start and stop destinations, so had parking and elevators under control. They handled boxes and furniture with care, and nothing was lost or damaged. I would highly recommend them.

Patrick, the owner ,came to my home and in his calm, kind and always humorous way let me know about what I needed. He also was clear about the job with and without extras. Shortly after, I received a comprehensive email containing the cost for the move, with packing, without packing, with unpacking and so on. I spent alot more on packing and some unpacking due to a back issue which I have. The crew was unlike any movers I have ever had in that they were professional, clear, and so helpful to me. I really can't imagine a more seamless experience. I will never move without these guys again!!!!! Not only were they kind and patient to me but they also cared about my pets!!! What else could one ask for?

Good timing since we were getting ready to move. Ended up paying an extra $25 to have the boxes delivered since we were outside their "free delivery" zone, but it was worth it. They allowed me to customize the order to stay within the sale price and get only the materials we needed. Easy to work with and helpful folk all around. I've since heard other good things about this company, and would do business with them again.

Using an Angie's List Deal I purchased moving boxes from Brookline Moving Company. They were extremely patient and answered all my questions. I was on the borderline of their delivery area and needed clarification, and in multiple calls requested specification on all the dimensions of the boxes when open and when flat. My delivery was scheduled promptly at my convenience, delivery was on time and the boxes were stored exactly where I specified. All employees were polite and professional. Brookline Moving Company also will move household items and I asked for information. Their attention to detail and patience in explaining the potential move was impressive. Their quote was reasonable, but I decided not to make a move at this time. Based on my experience I highly recommend Brookline Moving Co.

This company moved me on December 9th, 2011 and it was by far the best moving experience I have ever had. Setting up the move was extremely easy, while other companies wanted me to list every last piece of furniture and box I would have, Patrick the owner was able to get a good idea by just knowing how many rooms and a few other pertinent questions. I much preferred this approach as no one can remember everything and in the past if I had extra pieces it added up to huge overages on the bill. The scheduled time to pick some of my items up at storage was 9 AM. The crew chief Javier called me at 8:15 to confirm pick up time and tell me they were on their way. Once several things were picked up in Cambridge they were at my Waltham apartment by 10 AM. The four movers were efficient, careful, friendly and respectful. They easily packed up my belongings and loaded them up. They did not attempt to sell me extra boxed or any other items, something I had encountered with other moving companies. When we arrived at my new home, there was immediately a problem that my couch was too large to fit into the basement family room. Javier took the lead and carefully took apart a banister and maneuvered the couch into the basement then put everything back to original condition. The movers continued throughout the day placing everything where I asked and doing little things like making sure even the boxes were where I wanted them. At the end it was so much easier to unpack and everything looked grand. The astounding part is the price was incredibly reasonable, about 2 thirds of what one of the “big name” moving company had estimated and no unexpected charges were added. Patrick the owner of the company called personally to make sure everything went smoothly. I have moved 4 times in the past 2 years for various reasons and this time was the absolute best. I would highly recommend Brookline Moving Company.

The company was extremely responsive when I reached out to them. They were able to arrange a delivery date of the boxes within 3 days. They showed their professionalism by re-contacting me to let me know that I had ordered less than the $200 worth of supplies agreed upon and encouraged me to order more items. Once they delivered the items (I wasn't home at the time), I received a voicemail message from the person who did the delivery. I later received an email followup. I was really impressed with the follow-through, courtesy, and all around great job!

They tacked me on to the end of the day because I had to change the time of my move. A very expensive table had a crack in it after the move and there was a little bit of damage to a print. Our elevator was very slow so they took the stairs which made the cost of the move go up.

Patrick was helpful in coming out to the house with a quick turnaround to do the in house estimate which was right on point when the final bill came. The crew that showed up was really friendly and helpful. We actually enjoyed the day with them - lots of laughs but while they worked incredibly hard to get us moved quickly without damaging anything. It was a great experience (which is something to say with how stressful moving can be) and I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I called on June 30th to have my belongings removed from storage and returned to my house. I spoke with Patrick Lundgren and asked the price to have the items brought back to my house, what the prorated amount of storage I would owe is for July, where they are stored and what size van I would need to do it myself. Patrick said he would call me back on June 30th but I never received a return call. I called back on July 7th and left a voicemail which has gone unanswered. On July 9th, I sent a certified letter to document my attempts to contact the company. The letter was signed for on July 13th by Jane Lundgren but I still have not heard back from this company.

The owner, Patrick (who is a pleasure to deal with) came out and accurately assessed the cost of the move and amount of supplies we needed. He arranged for the items going out of state to be delivered by an affiliate he trusts and has worked with for decades. I met the three men who were our team when they delivered the packing supplies. They were unfazed by the stairs or amount of stuff to be moved. They arrived early the day of the move and surveyed what was being moved locally, what was going out of state and what was going to the Salvation Army. They managed to get everything to the right place, and in good condition. These men where not only professional, but had to be encouraged to stop and take some time to eat lunch. They have an incredible work ethic and are just real nice people. Patrick was very accessible and reassuring about coordinating the different locations of the move.

The crew very quickly put me at ease with the move, and they exceeded all my expectations. The crew was extremely professional, courteous, very well organized, and worked quickly. They worked well as a team. They asked claryifying questions when necessary, rather than proceed on their own assumptions. They were very careful of the furniture, and the houses, both when taking the items out of the old house and when putting them back into the new house. With their well organized and quick work the move was completed under the original estimate. The crew certainly delivered on the company's motto "Nothing But Service" from the moment they arrived until they left. I highly recommend Brookline Moving.

We made arrangements over the telephone only a day or two ahead, even though this is a busy time of year. Brookline Moving showed up on time and did a thoughtful and professional job. We have used them previously a number of times, and always to good effect.

Completely satisfied. The two man crew was right on time and performed the work professionally and with a fantastic attitude. I was not hesitate to use them again the next time I have to move.

We were concerned about the potential to bang into and damage the stairway railings, architectural door trim and original plaster of our 1851 townhouse. To our relief, it was MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. The two man crew arrived on time and carried big, awkward and heavy objects down many flights of stairs time after time with no mishaps. In addition, they were courteous and patiently listened to and understood our explanations of what went where. We will definitely call Brookline Moving for our future moving needs. Patrick the owner was the person who initially called us back to schedule the move. I appreciated the personal touch rather than the automated attendant I have encountered when I have called other larger moving companies. Thank you Patrick - good move.

This was the 3rd time I'd used Brookline Moving. Before, they did one move, and another time moved things into storage while I was "staging" my condo to sell. Patrick and his crew are professional, easy to work with and really good at what they do. Nothing was broken and they packed everything well; they even moved my piano. They also have always been nice to my dog, even when he's been a little underfoot. At one point, I called Patrick and really needed two pieces of furniture moved out during the selling process. My storage unit was full, so he stored the two pieces for me really inexpensively (I think it was $15 a month). Best of all, he did it the day after I called to help me out. I've recommended him to three friends. I'd use them again (which I hope won't be for a while this time).
