The flat rate for this job included all insurances (always does). There are no surprises coming from me when the task is completed. If you get a price quote from a 1(800) piano mover, the price is almost always lower than mine. With me, you're getting exclusive service for the particular job. We work by appointment ( not arrival sometime between (9:00am and 4:00pm). We are moving your piano only. You are not part of a route with several pianos on board. So inevitably we are traveling one way empty. Still, most of our total workload is the moving of pianos. My net is certainly cast the widest in this specialized field.

Mover's workers arrived late with broken truck. Didn't use pads to move furniture. Damaged piano in move. Claims to be "professional," but didn't check location to see if piano could actually be moved. Wasted time and money. Would never recommend to anyone.

From showing up late, to taking twice as long to do the job, to damaging a few items to his crew leaving their lunch debris in the house, it was not a good experience. I would not hire them again.
Description of Work: Jimmy was great about coming over when he was supposed to and giving a great estimate. It was a house to house move. He gave us instructions as to what we were supposed to do for the move as well.

I can only say that alcohol seemed to interfere with their ability to be packed up in time for our arrival. We all felt very sorry for their adolescent son, and I seriously considered contacting DSS, but ultimately, did not. The father was the scary one, with a mean disposition toward everyone & everything. The first thing that stands out in my memory about this job was the Mother, who booked me for this local move, being aggravated with me while loading my truck. Why ? Because I refused to move their 50 gallon fish tank with the fish, and the water, 6" from the top, still in it !!! Enough said !! Let common sense prevail ! Please !! You (the reader) can extrapolate from there ! We acknowledge, that on Moving Day, the customer is often not exhibiting their finest demeanor to the outside world. The real-time stresses of dealing with Banksters, Realtors, Utility Companies, family upheaval, etc., mixed with last minute packing into the wee hours, doesn't leave much coping skills or diplomacy for the average person. We always realize this possibility, and take this into account, as we genuinely try to be a part of the solution, and not the problem, on Moving Day. Over 70% of my customers, are repeat customers. These guys were great! I called Jimmy on short notice when another arrangement fell through. He was very understanding, accommodating, and also an interesting person to talk to (he's a jazz musician as well as a mover). He sent 2 guys to do the move, and they were fantastic! They did a great job and even helped me assemble some furniture at no extra charge because my move didn't take all of the 2-hour minimum. Definitely recommended!
Description of Work: Moved me from a 2-bedroom apartment in Belchertown to a 1-bedroom apartment in Sunderland, MA.
