John responded to my call the very same day. I gave a brief description over the phone and he arrived that same afternoon to check out the job and gave me an estimate. The very next afternoon John was there, right on time. We discussed what I wanted and he set to work to see if the existing (old) wiring was adequate for a dimmer switch -- it was not. After he removed the fan and the light he had to make a hole for a new port and extend the wiring from the fan port. He assembled and installed the new light/fan then capped off the 2 old ports. I was very pleased with the outcome. What I had before was a celing fan that wasn't centered to the room and the largest square flourescent light thing that I was so glad to be rid of. This was all done that same afternoon. John tidied up everything when he'd finished and was right in line with his estimate. I would highly recommend John for his professional skill and his cordial personality.

He did a great job. He had come in March because several outlets weren't working. He was able to find the problem (which wasn't easy) and fix and it and he recommended replacing all the outlets/fixtures because they were old and were likely to fail again in the future. He was dependable, professional, competent, and reasonably priced. We'll definitely use him again in the future.

All aspects of the work went well. John analyzed the situation, chose most appropriate route for the wiring to go (through attic crawl space across house), installed exterior box with cut-off switch and wired box to hot tub.

My multifamily house is an old one. Unfortunately the second floor apartment was never updated with overhead lighting in the 3 of its 4 rooms. I had a longstanding tenant who recently moved out and it was time to update. John was professional from the very start. Scheduling was easy - he patiently worked around the schedules of other contractors that I had hired. He was also able to install a transfer switch for a new emergency generator that I had bought (because of the October 2011 snowstorm). When he was installing the transfer switch, he recognized a problem with some old wiring and was able to repair it (eliminating a potential safety/fire issue!).

A service change involves changes in the connection from the utility pole to the house. The only hitch in the process was getting WMECO to come out and do their part, but John persisted in calling them and finally managed to finish the job after they arrived. I wish all other other contractors had John's reliability and professionalism.

John came out to survey the job and what I wanted done. He told me what could and could not be done. He sent me an estimate within a couple of days, He promptly got back to me when I was interested in going forward with the repairs. He left me a date for the repairs to be done. I verbally confirmed the date with him. He sent me an email confirmation a couple of days before the scheduled date. Day of repairs he was there on time. I had changed me mind before he came about one of the jobs I had said I wanted done. He was very cooperative with the change in plans. I was totally satisified with every aspect of the job. I will defiantely use him in the future for any eletrical work I need to have done.
