FONSECA HOME IMPROVEMENT

Fernando is a very nice man who showed up on time as planned and was very neat and clean looking. I was looking for a quote to have the front of my home re-sided but, Fernando told me the job would be too big for him to handle as he works alone. He did however give me his thoughts on my situation at hand along with some useful ideas which I very much appreciated.

It went fantastic! He responded promptly to our initial phone call and was very accommodating to get the job done due to our time schedule. Fernando was wonderful to work with and we would seek his services again in the future. We highly recommend him!

We had an urgent need to create access to an area under our roof because we had scheduled contractors arriving in a couple days. Mr Fonseca arranged his schedule to accommodate us on very short notice. He cut the panels extremely neatly which was difficult as he had to cut these freehand. We called Mr Fonseca based on the many positive reviews on Angie's List stressing the quality of his work and professionalism and we were not disappointed.

He is an excellent guy. He did a good job. He is a very skilled guy, very conscientious. He is timely and he is really professional. He is very earnest in doing a good job and is very responsible.

Fernando was amazing! Up until Fernando, I had a 100% rate of contractors/workmen who have let me down. They would show up late, not stay all day, and drag the work out over a much longer period of time. Not Fernando!! Fernando showed up on an overcast Monday morning. When it started to rain, Fernando grabbed his keys and started to leave. I told him I looked forward to seeing him tomorrow, and he said "...I'm not leaving. I am going to go back to my shop to cut up the rest of the materials that I need while it rains. This is going to stop in about an hour. I'll be back shorty." I couldn't believe it. The best part is that he came back about an hour later. Fernando finished the job in the time that he specified, and the work was impeccable. I would highly recommend using Fernando Fonseca

We recently painted our kitchen cabinets and needed someone to put them back in place. We had filled the original holes for both the hardware and hinges, so this meant drilling new holes in the frames and in the cabinets themselves. Fernando did an excellent job, was meticulous about getting things lined up properly (not an easy task with our old 1970s cabinets) and they look great.

Went very well. Was on time and performed the work in a very professional manner. Consulted with me regarding any preferences I may have on details of the installation.

Another set of great jobs Fernando has done for us. As always, he was professional, punctual, neat and pleasant. He is always able to find a way to fix and improve everything. The shed now looks great; we are able to close the door easily. The bedroom closet door functions and looks good. The trickiest part of the job was staining the new crown molding, so color would match the color of the built-in cabinet. It took a long time for the stained molding to dry, so Fernando had to come back again on the following day to install it. Fernando bought all the needed materials including the pressure-treated frame for outside shed. We did not pay additionally for the materials.

Very good. He was polite and he came when he said he would and charged what he said he would charge. It was done easily and promptly.

So helpful. I'd been struggling with this window for some time, trying to deal with water issues. I was wondering if I was going to have to remove the whole window to fix the problem. Fernando recommended against this, and replaced the rotted wood with expoxy (now an undetectable fix), and did a great caulking job to seal up gaps. Also painted. I'm very happy with how the window turned out, and I thought his price was extremely reasonable.

He came, he fixed the window, installed the gutter, cleaned up and removed all debris and calked/.sealed everything! Couldn't have asked for a better job!

I am updating the rating of this contractor to A in terms of responsiveness and professionalism. Fernado reviewed the job requirements and made good recommendations for them. He was courteous and professional. To be fair, I give N/A on price, quality and punctuality since the job has not been performed yet.

All woork was performed promptly and well. Suggestions for saving on project were made.

He responded quickly to my initial inquiry. He came at first opportunity to assess the work and time needed. He said this first phase of work would take 2 days. We scheduled a day to start for 3 days out. He was pleasant, punctual, prepared, organized, thorough and neat. He takes his work seriously and diligently works until he completes the projects at hand. It took him exactly 2 days to complete that handy work. He was a pleasure to have around. And he took his mess with him. : ) we have much more needed handy work and I look forward to hiring him again.

Fernando is very reliable and meticulous and did an excellent job for me. He is a pleasure to work with and will be doing more work for me in the near future.

He was great! He was easy to contact and I would definitely use him again. He is reasonably priced and very reliable.

Quality if very good though he has been steadily raising his prices. His last price increase was +50% on an hourly basis. Though he does good work sometimes he is slow and on an hourly basis the costs get out of hand.

l Let me start by saying Fernando is awesome! This guy is a perfectionist and will not leave unless you are happy with the job. We were undecided if we wanted to save or replace our trim and Fernando worked with us to replace the trim when we finally decided that's what we wanted to do. He was flexible and very professional, friendly and punctual. He explained every step he needed to take as he pulled off old trim, removed old door jambs (VERY old house), added studs so the newer, thinner material used in today's door jambs would fit exactly as the old ones fit. I mentioned that our house is very old, built in the 1890's. Every door jamb and all the trim had "settled" over the years and were all warped and crooked. By the time Fernando was finished, our new doors are perfectly level, close perfectly, and look absolutely gorgeous. There were areas of trim that were custom cut when the house was built and fitted very tightly. Fernando was able to remove it all without damaging anything and replace it alwith new wood, custom cut to fit perfectly again. The work was done so seamlessly, If someone looked at the trim and jambs right now, they'd never know it was all torn out and put back together piece by piece. Fernando really did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier. He estimated 2-4 days and the job took 4 days, which was the more realistic number and what we had planned for and expected in reality. He was able to squeeze us into his busy schedule with about 3 weeks notice (there's a reason he's so busy, he's good!). Fernando stuck around a little late to make sure everything was finished when he left on that 4th day. Fernando is the real deal and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of work on their home. He works alone and he's efficient and detail oriented. We would 100% use his services again on future projects.

He was really good. I would give them all "A's" for everything. I would use him again in the future.

Fernando came out and fixed my sliding door no problem. Was extremely competent, professional and nice.

I had gotten an estimate back in the winter when, obviously, the project couldn't have been completed, and was put on the list for the spring. When the weather cooperated, Mr Fonesca came and completed the project in one day as he had said he would when we first met. It looks great and seems to be secure.

I highly recommend Fernando. He is an excellent carpenter, very reasonable prices and a pleasure to work with.

Fernando Fonseca is a shining light for all contractors to follow. His prices are reasonable, his attitude is professional and his work is beyond exceptional. He talked and walked us through the problems (lots of past inferior work leading to lots of rotted wood). He worked diligently and for long hours. He takes great pride in his superior workmanship, something I've found lacking in many contractors these days. He will recommend quality painters to finish. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. What a joy to know him!
