After Fernando removed old flooring, he found hard-to-remove glue on the subfloor. He took time to carefully remove the old glue using a hot gun. Everything he did was done thoughtfully and meticulously. After new flooring was installed, he choose to return to improve one detail, so everything would be done perfectly. Fernando is honest and pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend him.

Excellent work at a decent price by an honest guy! From start to finish, Fernando was punctual, communicative, and professional. His pride in doing a good job was obvious. I had hired Fernando for some work last year and was completely satisfied, so I called him again for this small project. Once again he came out promptly to assess things and had great ideas to fix the problem. He also did a few extras such as filling foundation cracks with mortar and securing a cable wire that had been hanging loosely. He spent at least half a day, did great work, and cleaned up afterward. Fernando Fonseca will my first phone call for any more home repairs.

We contacted four contractors for three jobs in our around our basement. All four looked at the work. One never returned an estimate. Another (with an Angie's List A grade) gave us a prompt estimate for the total but never responded to our request to break it down. Another gave a complete estimate but was 30% higher than Fernando. Once we agreed on the work, Fernando was the first to respond, the first to view the jobs, and professional in the work.

Fernando has helped us before with exterior carpentry. Because of our prior excellent experience, we asked if he’d be able to help us again. I ordered the flooring that was used for the initial installation. Fernando was very responsive and we made plans for the work to be done. He was able to remove some flooring and weave the wood back in to make it look as if there was never a hole at all. This had to be done for 2 bedrooms. He covered the furniture and our belongings to protect it from dust. He’s very neat, precise, and clean with his work. He was able to hunt down matching baseboard that was not carried at the big stores. He explained everything that needs to be done. He is very thorough. The project took the equipment of one day to be done (was spread out over two days).

Fernando returned my initial phone call and came out to provide an estimate promptly. He had some great ideas I had not considered and I completely agreed with his concept for the work. He provided a time frame to do the work, called me the week before to schedule, and arrived exactly when promised. All work was done completely and professionally, by Fernando himself. He stuck to his original estimate, even though some of the materials were more expensive than expected. I am 100% satisfied with the repairs and will definitely hire him again.

It went extremely well. Fernando was very clear explaining the work to be done, when he would arrive and finish each day, and when the overall project would be completed. He made thoughtful suggestions for how to repair the damage around the house and came up with reasonable and economic solutions. He is very careful and responsible about his work. When he could not purchase fluted boards to match the existing ones, he made them himself. I paid exactly what he estimated.

If I could give Mr. Fonseca an A++ I would. He did excellent, careful work, He is clearly very knowledgeable and competent. He noticed details, and made excellent suggestions. His estimate of time involved was on the nose, and the cost was very reasonable.

Fernando was terrific. He spent most of a day at our house, and got everything done (except for a couple of tasks that required parts we did not have). He was extremely professional and pleasant. Very thoughtful about how to go about fixing things. Altogether a great experience.

Fernando got to this job much quicker than I thought. He called and arrived right when he said he would. His work was absolutely excellent. He is going to come back to do three other jobs that will be outside the house.

It's a little more than the job might cost but we needed it done promptly. I would absolutely use him again.

Fernando came over on Sunday to give me a quote on the deck repair I wanted to get done. He assessed the issue and frankly told me his opinion. This was not the first time Fernando fixed things in our house. Whenever other contractors do not have a good solution to the problem, I call Fernando. And he always comes up with a great idea! This time, our staircase had a problem. It was a tricky repair. As always, Fernando suggested an excellent solution to the problem. A few days later, he came with all necessary materials (wood, glue, wood filler, etc.) and repaired the staircase. Fernando is always a pleasure to deal with; he is knowledgeable, creative, skilled, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend this company!

Fernando arrived early to do his on-sight estimate. He provided the estimate the next business day with dates that he was available. He worked around our schedules and made it very convenient to have the jobs done. He arrived on time to do the jobs. Stayed about six hours and did more than was expected. He saw more concerning boards that were going to be a problem in the future and took steps to protect them from the elements. He cleaned up quite well after he was done with the job and was very helpful in explaining what he did and why it was necessary. I would use him again without hesitation and would certainly recommend him to any and all of my friends.

The entire job went really smoothly and the end result was fantastic. To provide some background, my husband finished our basement about 20 years ago. Although it served many purposes well over the years it never looked completely professional or finished. The water damage provided us with the incentive to upgrade the basement and we contacted Fernando to help us with this project. In one room, he removed the dropped ceiling and drywall and rebuilt the room with new materials and skim coat so it looks really professionally done. In the second room he replaced major sections of the drywall and completed a number of additional repairs, and finished it off so it looks professionally done as well. We discovered Fernando on Angies List about 6 years ago and have used him for numerous projects, large and small, since then. He listens very carefully to our thoughts on what needs to be done and recommends what he feels is the best and most cost-effective solution. His workmanship is excellent and he is so easy to work with - punctual, polite, and the workspace is spotless when the job is done.
