Pride Services and General Contracting

We are repeat customers of Joe's and he's the only person we call to do this type of work on our home. We have complete trust in him - to the point where we basically let him show us what needs to be done and even what type of paint & colors to use. Once again, all the rooms he worked on turned out perfectly and the repairs/issues he resolved went above expectations. "Pride" is absolutely the right name for his company because he takes pride in all the work he does, no matter how big or small the job, and his finished work is always at the highest standards. On top of that, we desperately needed this work done prior to listing our home and Joe found time in his very busy schedule to come help us out. He's the best around.

The job was done excellent. Joe and his team are extremely professional and courteous. They are coming back in a few months to work on other projects that are outside.

I couldn't be happier with the work that Joe did on the condo. There was a long list of painting, patching, etc. projects. Joe completed each of the jobs on short turnaround time and each job was done to perfection and at a reasonable price. He also kept in constant communication until the job was done.

I spoke with gentlemen and he seemed very interested, I was hiring right away to get job completed, he asked me to text him which I did to repeat the conversation but since then I heard nothing at all. i am disappointed as he seemed very personable and interested in work and reputation.

Not only was it a pleasure having these two men work in my home, they do excellent work. They work hard and fast. It seems like no job was too small or difficult to do. They were great having them in my home. Polite and you could see they were really happy. They love pleasing the customer most of all.

He picked out 3 colors for 3 adjoining spaces that blended beautifully.

I texted and spoke with Pride to confirm the date of our walk through for the remodeling estimate. I had other contractors coming over as well, but this seemed to be a turn off. Imagine that, I wanted to make sure I was getting a reasonable price. Anyway, we worked through that and confirmed a date to come out. I then texted the address. Pride was a total no show, with no notice they would not be able to make it. This was completely unprofessional and I would never contact this contractor again.

He quoted us a VERY reasonable price and stuck to it when the job was complete. They do good work in a timely fashion. Very "crisp, straight lines" as Joe likes to say. Since this job we have had him back to do more painting for us because the house looks so good with a fresh coat of paint, or two. I also want to say, Joe is a great guy.. he'll come back if you're not happy [which was not the case with us] and go above and beyond the scope of the job without you even asking. Top notch company and I would refer them to anyone.

Service was excellent, Joe was very upfront with prices and expectations. Quality of work met my expectations and I am happy. The beam is hung and I now have my porch swing to enjoy this summer!

I hired Joe to replace our kitchen back splash. Sounds easy right? No so easy due to the fact that 3 years ago we had Home Depot do a kitchen refacing so Joe and his helper had to be very careful about the removal of the old tile as to not damage any of our new counter tops and the cabinets etc. Joe came out to the house and we both knew it would be a fairly tricky job. We discussed who long it might take and any potential pit falls. We had already bought the tile so for the most part we just needed him to do the work. He estimated that it may take 4 days to get it done. Joe and his helper came in on a Monday and finished the job on Thursday so his time estimate was on target. We did have one glitch with one electrical outlet. The guys had to move them out a bit and one gave Joe a hard time. I decided to finish the electrical myself so Joe could concentrate on the main part of the task. He and his partner were on time each day and cleaned up pretty well each night. We are very happy with the outcome especially knowing that it was not a straight forward job in that it was not an entire kitchen redo so they had to be very careful while doing the work. This was the second time I hired Joe, he also did some exterior painting for me 3 years ago. I would hire him again if needed. We felt he was honest and fair.

As explained above, Joe did all of the work, and more, than we agreed upon. He was very respectful of our requests. Joe made sure that everything was left clean and in order when he left.

Joe did a fine job. He is very busy because he is in demand, but he was very professional and polite and made sure to keep me updated on his schedule so we knew he would eventually be able to get to us. We were very happy with his work and it was worth the wait because he did an excellent paint job and repair. Would recommend him for your work.

When it came to the tile floor, the grout is crumbling away and some of the tiles have broken/split.

Our process began in January, 2015 as we searched for a contractor to finish our basement. We got 8 bids from local companies and the range was all over the place, illustrating the need to get multiple inputs for such a large project. Joe's was actually the last bid received. Only one other company came in lower than Joe's price, but his style and easy approach was an immediate plus for us. He does most of the work himself, ensuring high quality and a customer focused approach, and allowing him to be a little more flexible with pricing, mid-work changes and planning. He only outsourced bulk work such as insulation and drywall and the specialty work such as plumbing, electrical and HVAC. He was on site nearly continuously while his sub contractors were working and all were service oriented and quality focused. Joe is also flexible. We designed the basement up front of course but throughout the process had multiple changes, some we negotiated with other trade-offs and others he was flexible on price. For example, we changed to a tiled shower enclosure from a prefab tub and removed a half wall with pillars to offset. We added a nicer skirt to the stairs and he only charged 1 day's labor. We were told by our town that our sprinkler system had to be rearranged to accommodate the new rooms in the basement and he was able to secure a semi retired sub-contractor for half the cost of other quotes. When we added a Mitsu Heat Pump instead of electrical baseboard as originally quoted, he credited us the heating portion of the electrical work to help offset the higher cost. The end result is simply amazing and well beyond our expectations. He does excellent work and cares about the product he provides, truly recognizing that referral business is the path to success. He's available by cell to his customers and when he doesn't pick up right away, return contact via text or call is quick. He's accessible. Joe was in our house so often that our kids started making him breakfast. Finishing a basement is not without its frustrations but Joe worked with us along the entire path. If you're willing to take a little more time to get an amazing result at a very reasonable cost from a contractor that is invested in quality and does most of his own work then Pride Services and Joe Huber are for you. We plan to hire Joe again in the future for interior painting, a screened porch, and other projects. He's a great find!

Joe and Pride are professional and extremely attentive to the work they do. He and his colleague took the time to ensure the work was done as requested and within a very tight time frame. It was a sincere pleasure to work with him. If you don't consider Pride for your next project you are doing yourself a disservice. I won't hesitate to work with him again should a need arise.

The estimate was timely and the expected cost of the work was better than other contractors we had spoken to.

We had the deck removed on the back of the house and replacing it with a patio. Some of the siding was damaged in the process and some of it was rotting. Called Joe on a Friday and he answered immediately even though he was on another job. He came that day to look at the siding and was at the house the following Wednesday to due the job(he would have done the job on Tuesday but it was raining). Joe was very accommodating and professional. I would definitely use Joe again and recommend him to friends and neighbors.

I highly recommend them. I was given my estimate on a timely basis. They showed up right on time during the whole project. They were very efficient and professional. My house was left in better condition then when they arrived! I will definitely be using them for all of my contracting needs in the future. They are a true find!

It was a pleasure working with Joe and team to have the entire interior of our building painted. From the estimate to the color consultation to the actual painting, everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner. Our employees love the paint color that Joe helped us pick (after picking a color on our own months before that left our business feeling cold and sterile). The team that arrived each day to complete the work was on time, friendly, and aside from a very slight paint smell we couldn't even tell anyone had been in our business all day working. Overall, we would recommend Pride to anyone, and best of all the project was completed on time, and on budget!

We found Joe from Pride on Angie's and hired him after our first meeting simply based on reviews and his professional manner - we couldn't be happier with the decision. For one, you won't find anyone who cares more about the quality of his work. We are thrilled with the way our projects have turned out. As with all projects, ours ran into some unforeseen issues but Joe just worked around them and figured out ways to get everything done without charging us all kinds of extra money (which we would have gladly paid!). He is also very responsive - I don't think we ever went more than an hour or two after calling him before getting a return call and that was at the most - usually he was readily available. It's easy to tell he has a lot of integrity and we had no problem letting him and his crew work on our house while we weren't home - even when we were away on vacation. Honestly we have heard many horror stories about people having issues with their contractors but our experience with Joe has been the exact opposite. We have several much larger remodeling projects coming up over the next several years and there isn't even a question that we'll be working with Joe on them. Bottom line is he delivers on his promises with high quality work at a very fair price.

This is my second time using Joe, and he did not disappoint. His communication is always excellent, whether it be via text or phone call. Joe came out to tear down the wood from my front door's archway, which was rotting pretty bad. Part of the interior frame of the post was also rotting, so he cut that part out and strengthened the frame with additional supports. He then reconstructed the posts making them look brand new, exactly how they were when he found them, minus the rotted spots. Joe is friendly, honest, and efficient. His service and price are unbeatable. I look forward to using Joe for our next project.
