Stumpy's Tree Service Inc

This was my first time using Stumpy's. I contacted them because of the outstanding feedback on Angie's List. Carly responded by phone to my email inquiry and was very professional. Chris came out to do a site visit. He listened carefully, asked questions, and was absolutely no pressure. He provided an estimate before he left, and we scheduled the work to be done 10 days later. The crew arrived exactly on time with a 75' boom truck, and the most powerful "chipper" I have seen. Manny was the one I had the most interaction with, but all three guys were good. It was a cold windy day, and these guys were non stop for approximately 4 hours. Before driving the truck on the lawn, they put down protective covering to prevent tires marks. When they were done, the clean up was nothing short of outstanding. Before leaving, Manny thanked me for choosing them. This was one the best customer service experiences I have had. They are professional, competent, reasonably priced, and a pleasure to deal with. If you need tree work done, then look no further.

The removal was great. Weather that day was terrible, but they arrived as scheduled and completed the work in an afternoon. The stump grinding was amazing and the cleanup of that area was very good. There was a bit more material left near the site of the third tree than I would have liked, but nothing terrible. The trimming of the crabapple tree was done very well and everything left neat a s a pin. The work was a strong "A" grade and the price was the middle price of the three quotes I solicited. Overall the value was great and I would not hesitate to recommend Stumpy's to anyone.

THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!!! I cannot say enough about the quality of the work, the professionalism and the total clean-up at the end. The workmen went above and beyond in all regard. Oscar was a terrific foreman, and the two men working with him did a great job in their roles.

It went fine. The prices were very competitive when compared to other providers. They were also very responsive.

Excellent service. Received proposal on a wednesday. Called on thursday to give go ahead and they came on Friday to complete the job. I don't think you can get faster service and was pleased with the work as well. The guys spent entire day removing huge trees and cleaned up afterwords as well. Job was completed efficiently.

Chris from Stumpy's Tree Service arrived right on time to give us a quote on the tree work we needed to have done. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and provided us with a detailed quote. On the day the work was performed, the team arrived at the scheduled time. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up all the debris when they were finished. We were very pleased with everything from start to finish and would highly recommend Stumpy's to anyone who needs tree work done.

Great company! They removed a large maple tree in our front yard. I asked for an estimate, and within 2 days someone came out and provided a clear and concise estimate for me. Called them the same day to book the service, and got an appointment within 2 days. They arrived with massive equipment and took down the whole tree (and ground the stump) within about one hour. Amazing how fast this can go when you have the right equipment!

It went EXTREMELY well. They were quick to respond, show up for a quote, and do the work for the quoted price....plus adding the Angie's List discount (found on Angie's List) even though I didn't know of this discount until after they quoted me a price. Everything they did was perfect and professional. If I had more trees to take down I would call them without event getting quotes from others. They were the lowest....even compared to another tree service we had used in the past. GREAT!!!!

We called Stumpys to have a number of branches cut on multiple trees surround our swimming pool. After doing an initial appointment they shared they would be able to easily do the work. We were told we would get a call to book the work getting done. No call. A week later we call and leave a message to follow up and book it. No call back, we called again and speak to a rep that says she will call us back to book they have been really busy, never got that call. We call again and left a message no call back. We called again and a different woman answered the phone she apologized and said she would call back the same day to book something. She never called. Talk about poor customer service.

They were on time, quick, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job. The estimator showed up early for our appointment, which was great. I would definitely call them again.

Best team I could have asked for. I called for an estimate, had a project leader come out for estimate and service scheduled all in less than a week. The team in the office was very professional and timely. Made sure to schedule when convenient, follow up the day before my appointments and even the day after to make sure I was satisfied with service. The team that came to remove the trees were very timely and worked at a great pace. All trees were down, removed and logs were left at my request in less than 4 hours. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing their services.

Stumpys gave a prompt detailed written estimate that was very reasonable compared to 4 other quotes. The guys did an excellent job of tree removal, stump grinding and cleanup. We are very satisfied with the price and professional quality of job and would likely hire again if needed. Great experience start to finish and highly recommended!

Stumpy's was on time (they give an approximate time but they hit it). They were professional and efficient. They were very considerate of our neighbors. They did not waste time getting to work. They were safety conscious and tidy. With the exception of our tree missing, you would never know they were at our house. We plan on using them again to raise the canopy around the yard.

A VERY large maple was uprooted by a microburst and that tree fell onto two other large trees which were also uprooted and several smaller trees became collateral damage. Our entire side lawn was blocked by these tree collection. Stumpy's people worked quickly and efficiently. When they left the area looked pristine. They brought in a lot of major pieces of equipment and these guys know how to use it properly. The area, sans trees, looked better than before the microburst struck. They even cleaned tree debris off the roof. A large area of rhododendrons was in the strike area of the fallen trees. Stumpy's guys spent a good deal of time removing the broken rhodis and making it look good. I was lucky not to have damage to the house proper -- but I must say my property looks better now than before the storm.

Stumpy's was outstanding. They guys were on time, professional, extremely friendly, helpful and polite. They got the job done in great time and completely cleaned up after themselves. I chose them originally because the estimated price, while in the middle of the pack of estimates I got, was presented so professionally that I was impressed. A couple estimates just said "remove large maple in back yard, trim front tree". Stumpy's contained a diagram of the backyard, meausurements from the tree to my shed, house and fence, the size of the tree and the diameter of the trunk. He also listed out exactly which branches were to be removed from the front tree. The estimate was precise, right down to saying the included stump grinding was to be 2-3" below grade and additional grinding might cost extra. As it turned out, that degree of grinding was perfect and my yard is flat where the tree was. I could not be more impressed by this company. I will recommend them to anyone looking into tree work. Extremely happy!

They came in with their truck promptly and did the very difficult job with ease. Were very neat and cleaned up thoroughly. I had requested for another branch removed from the side of the house as it seemed close by but was taller than the roof. They promptly came back the next week and removed the branch, checked if I was happy and only then left. I will certainly recommend them to everyone. I contacted about 15 tree removal companies. Stumpy's was the first company to get me a price estimate - I had it a couple of business days after I contacted them. Not only were they the fastest to get me the estimate, they also beat all other companies' prices by a significant margin. They did what I wanted and they did it efficiently.

Had to contact Stumpy's to prompt them to schedule the service. Received a voicemail scheduling service and I called to see if they could be specific about the time of day they would arrive so that I could warn my neighbors. They couldn't specify a time, but I agreed to the date. I then received an email scheduling the service for the agreed date, stating 8-8:30am and asking me to confirm the date. Emailed to say the time was OK and that I had already telephoned to confirm the date. Received a voicemail the day before the work was to be completed, stating an arrival time in the afternoon! In the end, they arrived at the original time of 8-8:30am. Work was efficiently done. My only criticism was that I had to spend an hour tidying-up debris after Stumpy's had left - wood chips from the lawn, small branches from surrounding plant beds and sawdust from around the stumps. Some shrubs had minor damage. Deep tire marks left on the edge of the lawn at the house opposite my driveway from when the crane was moved into position (although the home owners have not commented). All these comments were passed on to Stumpy's when they made a follow-up call after the work was completed. The clear-up I had to do was not significant; more disappointing considering other companies I've used have made a much better job of clearing-up and scheduling. However, the work done was good and I'd consider using Stumpy's again in the future for the purposes of tree removal.

It went perfectly. They came on time, did no damage, cleaned up well, and they were very polite. I would recommend them to others.

Bad weather was scheduled to come that afternoon, so Stumy's actually came early to complete the work in the time without having to reschedule. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. They even cut up one of the little trees that they removed, so that we could have some firewood. They were great.

They were extremely responsive, professional, and showed up with all the equipment and manpower I could have imagined. It was a big job, but they removed our enormous pines (and some medium-sized ones as well) with apparent ease. Couldn't have been more pleased with the service we received. We would highly recommend Stumpy's for any major tree job.

Was very responsive scheduling estimate, then proceeded to arrive when they could fit us in. Was about 2 weeks time. I was not there when they did the work which was hanging over neighbors yard partly. You would not know they were there?very neat, clean and no damage.

They could be more responsive. I had to call several times to get schedules and confirmations, for example. After they were here, it was all very good. Would definitely use them again.
