There was about 15 minutes left of the 2 hours planned---so the handyman moved my deck furniture into the basement and moved a few boxes down there too. No problem. Polite, knowledgeable, friendly. Will have them back again!

When I called to hire the handyman, the person on the phone warned me that sometimes exterior rot is like peeling an onion. What an onion! The visible rot was on the weather side of the house on a clapboard chimney. After a little excavation, it soon became clear that this was a much bigger project. Water has been leaking into that chimney for some time and the rot on its base was incredible. Four of five joists holding up the fire box and the entire chimney were rotted to within a few inches of the foundation. Worse, it appears that the previous owners dressed up the problem before selling us the house five years ago. The crew from Mr. Handyman Central MetroWest was terrific. They removed the rotted wood and essentially rebuilt the chimney's base, tying it into the existing, solid joists; cut out the other jerry-rigged fix the previous owners had attempted, and rebuilt the frame of the chimney; and then resided the chimney. That sounds simple, but it was a major job--definitely well beyond what I was capable of and worth every nickle we spent on it. The guys working on the project were professional in every sense of the word. They were dutiful--there wasn't really anytime I didn't hear them hammering, sawing, drilling, etc. They were on time. They were polite. They cleaned up every day of a three-day project. And they did the little things that make the difference between getting the job done and really solving the problem for us. They even built a shelf for a dehumidifier under an adjacent crawl space, solving another problem for us before it really became a big one. To top it all off, they replaced a couple of other rotten pieces of trim. Last summer, I brought out a couple of contractors to look at the rot and they all said the work was too small for them. I wonder if they would have agreed if they knew what the project became. And in honesty, the reality of paying by the hour for a project like this is not something I would have planned to do. But once the extent of the problem was there for me to see, we had to solve it--getting three quotes from other providers wasn't really an option. The bottom line is this: I am extremely happy with the work Mr. Handyman of Central Metro West did. The cost was more than I had planned on going in--but that was the function of the size of the problem and what it would take to fix it.

Well after the screen was replaced and the repairman had left, I noticed a small opening at the corner of the screen. When the company rep contacted me afterwards to see how the work went I told her about the small hole. She sent another repairman out that same day. He had to make two trips to the hardware store as he thought of different approaches for the repair. The end result was another new screen. It was not easy to make a decision on how to approach this. The track was also repaired. I was very pleased with their work.

I received a call from Michael that due to a pending snow storm on Monday, Mike would be available to perform the work on the Saturday before the storm. He arrived right on time and reviewed the work to be done. Mike was easy to work with and made helpful suggestions. Originally the intent was to install moulding trim around the kitchen door but the space is so tight near the refrigerator I opted to fill the gap and smooth to the same finish as the rest of the wall. He also worked with me to decide the best height for the dryer vent to match the LG specs for the dryer. Mike worked methodically and finished earlier than expected. The compounding around the door remained soft for two days and sunk into the frame. The gap filled was fairly deep. I called and asked to have it repaired. Mr. Handyman sent Don who came and added compound and finished the job. Don came earlier than expected so we didn't waste time waiting. The door frame area is firm and ready to paint one day later. Mr. Handyman stands behind its work and I would not hesitate to call them again.

Very happy with work. They showed up on time and performed exactly what we needed. They were a bit pricey/ hour but well worth it to have a good job performed.

The gentleman who did my work was very good. He fixed molding and cased an air conditioner.

I scheduled the original call for 7:30am on Monday, June 22. When no one showed up or called me, I called Mr. Handyman and spoke with Sandra Fisher, Service Representative. She told me that the technician had to go to Home Depot and buy parts. I explained to her that there was a reason why I scheduled the call at 7:30am because I had to leave for the office by 8:30AM which would have given him plenty of time to complete the job. I made Sandra aware that I was upset because no one called me to make me aware that he was running late and secondly because he should have already been to Home Depot and totally prepared with the parts needed ahead of time. Reluctantly, I rescheduled for the next day at 7:30AM basically because I was desperate to complete this job to allow my electrician to install the light. The next day, a handyman arrived on time. There was no apology for the mishap the day before. After assessing the job, he also had to go back to Home Depot and purchase more parts only this time it was on my dime. I made it clear that I had to leave for work no later than 8:30AM and asked him if I could mail a check for payment. He wanted to paid before leaving so he estimated the time to complete the work and the cost of the parts and presented me a bill for $246.66 which I gave him a check for. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would never use them again. They should have the common courtesy to call if the are running late - this is business 101. Also, knowing what the project entailed ahead of time should have provoked them to ensuring they had several parts of different sizes for the pipe available in the truck.

Great, Showed up exactly on time, 7:00am, and did a high quality job. The cabinet store where I ordered the cabinets wanted $750 for their crew to come out but Mr. Handyman only charged $199.

The service was good. I got the owner come out and did the estimate; it was fine. One of their guys came out and did the tile; he was okay.

Installation of backsplash behind stove. It took 4 hours. In order for them to come back and grout the job I would have to pay another 150.00

It could not have gone more smoothly! I was contacted when he was approx. 30 minutes away and he arrived within that time period. After assessing what needed to be repaired, he estimated he could do it in under an hour plus the cost of materials. He met that estimate and it looks like the rot was never there! Also he was quite pleasant.

Everything went very smoothly from the very beginning. The ladies that spoke to me when I called were always very nice and accomodating. The gentleman that came to clean our gutters, Bob, was also very nice. I was not home at the time of service, but my wife was. She said that Bob was very nice and professional. I cannot really say anything about the gutters itself. They are high up so I am just taking their word thay they cleaned them properly and completely. I should say that I cannot see the leaves and pine needles that were once over flowing from the gutters, though. Bob did suggest that the fascia and something else will need to be replaced soon. I will definitely give them a call again. They came on the day they were supposed to, and were also on time!

They replaced rotting wood on two doors with new wood and PVC. Work done by Bob Boyd looks fantastic and very professional.

Tom arrived promptly at 8 AM on the morning of my scheduled gutter cleanning. Tom had all the equipmant and discussed exactly what he would be doing and the approximate time required to accomplish the task. Tom had berough a number of recycled plastic bags which he used to collect the debris rather than just heaving it onto the lawn. He made suye to check with me regarding where I wanted the leaf matter to be discarded.

The office staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to arrange the visit the same day while I was off from work. Rene arrived and explained the job and began work promptly. He had to leave to get some supplies and came back quickly and got back to work and did a very thorough job .
