Bruin Corp was thorough with explanations and estimates and prompt for all meetings The work was completed without issue and the windows are exactly as promised. I would definitely work with them again.

Very careful and thorough installation crew. A minor adjustment request, post-installation, was never completed.

Bruin was very good to deal with - no surprises after the contract was signed, and no hidden costs. In fact, they even accommodated our request for a non-standard trim style, wider profile than what we originally had, with no additional cost. The onsite staff were great, and when we had one complaint about how a window was sitting, they addressed it. Windows look great. In terms of constructive criticism, they could improve on their communication about the status of the project - it was delayed by some number of weeks beyond what they originally told us, and we had to press them to get a commit date. That said, they never ducked our calls, and were very easy to deal with. 2 of the windows came from the factory with damage to the outside of the frame - but we did not have to find that - they had discovered that, informed us about it and took care of getting the replacement ones and coming back with them once they were in. (The windows were in good enough condition to be able to be installed, so we were left in good shape, and again, they came back to swap the frames once the good ones were in.). Would definitely hire them again!

Mike McCarthy came out in November to look at the window and give an estimate. A significant amount of carpentry was needed because the window needed to be lowered to fit under the existing roof. Two previous companies said that they could not do this project. He helped me pick the style of window that I wanted. At that time their estimated time to do the job was mid January. They did the job on February 5 after having to change the earlier date due to a snow storm. Three guys showed up on February 5 at 8 am and a couple more later. They removed the old window, created a new opening for the new window, installed the window and put a roof over the new window all in less than a day. The final work looks great.

I had insulation and air sealing done through Mass Save and I selected Bruin Corp. The office was very professional all the time. The guy that came out here to review the project was a genuinely good guy. The crew that showed up was extremely professional and decent to have around. They brought 4 people and had it all done in one day. In my case, I decided to take out all the insulation that was already in the attic, because it was very old and dirty and the air in my house was managing to circulate down from the attic sometimes. I did this myself and it was tough, but I am definitely glad I did it. There is a huge difference here now. I used to hear the furnace go on all the time, and now it is usually quiet. I highly recommend Bruin Corp.

We got a number of quotes to install the above items and although Bruin was not the cheapest, they did appear to be the most competent and I was really impressed by how straight forward their sales approach was. Within a few days we signed the contract. They were going to install Harvey products. When I stopped by the Harvey store, they very highly recommended Bruin as one of their best installers, which gave us a good feeling about working with Bruin. The work was "promised/expected" to be done by the end of November; November 28th to be specific. Near the mid/end of November, I called to see when the installation would be done and was told that Jimmy would call me back the following Monday, no return call. On a follow up call, Greg apologized and said that they were running behind and just really busy, but was surprised that no one called back . Finally, in December after no word from Bruin I called back and was quite angry about the fact that they did not call me back to schedule the appointment and I thought that it would be fair to get get 10-20% off the install since they missed promised install date by several weeks. I was ready to cancel the contract. Finally, Jimmy called me back and scheduled the install (completely ignored the request for them to discount the install for dropping the ball). I told them on many occasions that because of my job that I needed two weeks notice so that I could schedule a date, but the finally scheduled this for the week of Christmas. What I was most disappointed in was the lack of communication from Bruin to the customer, had they called and said "hey, we're really sorry but we are running behind and will be there on XX day", I would have been fine with that, but since this was the first time we were using them, we were beginning to worry if they were going to do the job. We did not have a rainy or snowy fall which would have understandably delayed the install. Also owning up to the fact that they over scheduled would have been nice too and I think 5% off install per week late would have been reasonable. Also, I'm really glad that we had a really mild fall/early winter otherwise it seems like this likely would have been installed in the spring. On the good side the install went flawlessly, and the guys honestly did a really great job on the install. They were incredibly efficient and everything looks great. They were clean and really good guys. They started at 8:30 and were done by 3. They explained what they were doing and the workmanship looks great. We can already tell the difference with the new doors and windows as the bay window nearly isolates us from the street noise. Over all their sales staff, measuring staff and install staff did a fantastic job, unfortunately communication with their office on the timing of the install really was really disappointing. When you are doing a $8K+ job you expect more, and specifically the lack of communication from Jimmy was really disappointing. Because of this, I would really have to think about using Bruin again.

The work was done quickly and proficiently. Ten years later, one of the window panes failed and Bruin honored their warranty and replaced it.

A rep came out to price a number of windows to be replaced in our house. I was surprised when he showed up without any samples, and that he was just there to take measurements. After measuring, he told me the plan was to return 2 weeks later with samples of the options we discussed, and that he would bring the pricing with him that night as well. Since they were running 8 weeks from order to installation, I decided to go checkout the samples in the showroom instead of waiting 2 weeks for him to return. So later that same day I went to the showroom and got an idea of what brand we were interested in. I emailed the rep the next day with what we were looking for, and asked for him to work up a quote and send it to me. No response. 4 days later I emailed again. No response. Then the scheduled return appointment day came - and the rep did not show up, although at this point I was not surprised. No call or contact from them since. I am not sure exactly what happened, but my best guess is that Bruin does the "way-overpriced-hard-sell-window" routine. Why else would he come the first time for measurements but without samples, with a plan to return with samples and pricing together, and then stop responding when I was looking for a quote over email (which would have messed up the sales routine)? I guess the alternative is that this was just a poor rep who didn't follow through, but that seems less likely to me - he seemed competent, and perhaps figured that if I drove to the showroom and appeared to be someone who does some research before dropping a big sum of money that I was a poor mark to be ripped off. Anyway, sometimes it is worth a few hours of time investment if it tells you who NOT to work with and avoid a bigger problem down the road.

I'll provide more updates on this project as it progresses. For now, I wanted to comment on how pleased we are on how quickly and professionally Bruin has been. Returned our request for a quote quickly and scheduled a time to come out to our home. Kept the appointment, was very thorough, and offered great advice and guidance. They also helped guide us through the process of engaging with Mass Save to get additional funding from the electric company (this is a pay-in fund unique to Massachusetts).

The guys were professional, laid protection throughout the house and work areas. The new doors came out beautiful!

Windows are fine, except cellar window sill should have been replaced. Front Door works well but threshold seems spongy.

The house is an old Victorian and the windows were the original from over a hundred years ago, needless to say, this was a very difficult job, which was done expertly by Kevin and Mark from Bruin, two guys who really know what they're doing. Kevin is an expert with old windows and does a great job in blending the old with the new. The price was more than reasonable, they showed up on time, worked hard, got the job done and left a clean work site, what more could you want? This is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them!

Overall we are happy. Their quote was competitive and we liked John as a sales person. Out of 23 windows a few were a little sloppy with the calking which is kind of a pain with painting trim etc. Our rooms are small but still they dinged up a few walls and left marks on the ceiling. The real beef We have is with one window already broken making the sash difficult to raise. And since day 1 after install a few are a little hard to open. These werent a cheap product and it's frustrating to have to deal with a repair.

Fantastic! All work was done on schedule and in a professional manner by their friendly crews. Bruin Manager Matt was great to work with and always returned my calls. Much appreciated the excellent service.

Office scheduling was great and installers were excellent.

I rarely write reviews, but I was very happy with Bruin Corp from the scheduling through the completion of the job. The men that showed up were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough. They were happy to answer my questions and provide useful information pertaining to my insulation/venting, etc. They showed up on time, worked hard to get the job done, any cleaned up after themselves. I would not hesitate to recommend Bruin Corp

I did have some window work done 5 years ago and the name of the company is Bruin Windows. I used them a long time back and then I called them back when I had some more work for them. The cost was about 300 a window and I had about 20 windows replaced. They are a great company. I used them 20 years ago and I called them back because they did a good job for me the first time. I didn't go to anybody else for the price but I was expecting around 300 dollars and that was it. Everything was fine. I liked everything about them. I would grade them all 'A's for every category.

EVERYTHING WENT WELL. THE INSTALLATION WAS COMPLETED IN ONE DAY

I was very impressed with the estimate that I was given for the windows: they asked good questions about what I had and wanted and made it very clear what would be installed. The only unhappy part of the experience was that it did take a while for the windows to come in, but we were ordering a lot and did it late in the building season so it was pretty understandable. Regardless, their estimate of when was pretty close to on-target and their estimate of the amount of time it would take was also excellent. Their installation team worked quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and professional: they were hugely flexible with regards to our schedule, they treated my family with respect, and we were very pleased with the job they did. The windows are beautiful and much more insulating than the ones they replaced.

The service provider came out to our home to measure our window. We gave him $450.00 as a down payment two months ago, we are told the process would be started in 8 weeks. When we called the office a representative changed the time frame and stated 8-12 weeks. He was so highly rated on AngiesList and we are finding this service provider not to be good. There are some loose ends we need to be fixed prior to the cold coming in, and still no response from this provider.

The estimate was higher than the vendor I went with. They have always been a reputable company in this market, and their pricing is high. I would use them if they had competitive pricing. He was $1400 higher than the other 3 bids that I got. The responsiveness was excellent.

Team was very professional and experienced from the sales rep to the installation team. They talked us through all our questions and concerns. The windows look great. They were even flexible about a last minute change in trim.

It went very well, they did a great job sealing everything up and the windows look and operate wonderfully.
