Description of Work: Home inspection for condo. Wayne was about 30 minutes late from another job, despite that he did a good, thorough job, and because it went quickly and he was late, he gave me a 10% discount. I'd use him again.

Description of Work: The home inspection was done very professionally. The report was well-written with many photos to help illustrate the key issues. Wayne was very willing to answer any subsequent questions that came up after the inspection and was reachable on his cell phone. |The cost of the inspection was more than other providers charged and having recently conducted an inspection with another inspection I am not sure that this inspection was any different.

+ -1 moreOverall, everything was excellent. Wayne was prompt, friendly, thorough and, most importantly for us, answered each of our questions patiently. The inspection lasted about 3 hours. He took pictures and provided us with an immediate report and sent another with all the pictures and every last detail soon after. We found him to be very trustworthy and would certainly use him again. The price was just as we expected, and we feel that we got what we paid for: excellent service.
Description of Work: We purchased a two-family in East Boston, and Wayne at Protech completed our home inspection. The inspection included both units, the basement, the roof, and the exterior of the house.

He was VERY thorough (we were there for about 3 hours for a 1300-sq ft condo!), and he looked at everything. His answers to our questions demonstrated his knowledge. We'd recommend him.

+ -1 moreThe inspection went very well. It took about 2 1/2 hours because Wayne is very thorough. After the verbal consultation he wrote up a report detailed comprehensive report that I received the next day. No check list here....the report covers all the issues that my condo had in detail. Wayne answered all of my questions and gave me the confidence that I needed for my purchase.
Description of Work: The condo that I was looking to purchase was inspected by Wayne Robbins, the owner of Pro-Tech Consultants. Wayne was very thorough and professional throughout the whole inspection. The next day he provided me with a detailed inspection report that was complete with explanations and photos of the issues that he came up against. Wayne gave me the leverage that I needed to negotiate the price of the condo and he saved me thousands of dollars! I would recommend him to everyone, he is a very good home inspector.

+ -1 moreI spoke to Wayne through email and phone to estimate the cost -- I'm buying a Condo which is not yet complete. Due to lack of being able to test water, electricity, heating and cooling systems, etc. -- Wayne was very kind to keep reducing his fees as the time spent was less. Despite not being able to check everything, I felt his estimates were accurate, his work exceptional -- I really learned a lot about my new home going through the process with him. I especially appreciated his technical savy -- I work in the Technology field. Wayne took digital pictures, and emailed me a PDF of his report (referencing the digital pictures, which he'd even enhanced with arrows, etc. pointing at issues). I even received the report the same day as the inspection! Due to being unable to check a number of things -- he explained to me what checking I should do before close -- and included this information in the report. Wonderful experience!
Description of Work: Wayne performed a home inspection on my new Condo in Cambridge, MA -- the cost was less due to not being able to test electricity, heat, water, etc.

Wayne spent a considerable amount of time at the property, identified a number of home integrity issues overlooked by other service providers and delivered an exceptionally detailed PDF writeup with high resolution digital pictures one day after the on-site work. Easy to schedule. Easy to work with. Competent. Professional.

Description of Work: Wayne was right on time. He is a courteous and thorough. He was able to detect hidden roof leaks and most importantly, he saved our lives by finding an existing gas leak today!!!! The gas company was immediately called and fixed the leak while Wayne was still there. WOW. This was worth every penny! We were lucky today and thanks to Wayne, we are alive! Both our cats warmed right up to him so one can always tell something about people when animals find them friendly.

Description of Work: Inspection of house for purchase. Detailed inspection of condition of house from basement to roof. Description of Work: Wayne Robbins inspected a house I was made an offer on. He did a great job. He showed up early, conducted a 3 to 4 hour inspection that was very thorough. He explained what he was observing and explained clearly things I did not understand. At the end of the inspection he wrote up preliminary notes that enabled me to understand what was needed in the house. It also informed me as to a future repair and upkeep list. A week or later I received a formal report. However the preliminary report was useful for thinking through my offer. The one thing he did not do was give possible estimates of the work that needed to be done. this was understandable given that this was not part of an inspection; but be aware you may need to call up for estimates from other sources.
