Description of Work: One of the burners on my gas stove would not turn off. Although Arlington Appliances were backed up with work, they managed to send someone over within the hour to help me. Bill was extremely friendly and helpful, turned the burner off and ordered new parts to fix.

Description of Work: This provider charges $150 just to send someone over and has a dispatcher with attitude. They do tell you this up front and they do send people over promptly. In this particular case I had a tenant with a fridge that wasn't staying cold. The guy said he wasn't sure what was wrong, tinkered around explaining what he was doing, but in the end said if he hadn't fixed it it wasn't fixable. Ended up getting new fridge.

Description of Work: They came to repair our dryer which had been making a grinding noise. Murphy's law the dryer worked fine when they came. But they agreed to apply the service call against a future repair if the noise returns. Dan was great!

Description of Work: dryer was making clunking noise and we thought it was the belt, which is was. There were also a few other things wrong and he had the parts, which was great, especially since the dryer was old. He cleaned out the inside of the dryer that we could not get to and he just was great! We are very happy and would recommend!

Description of Work: came to investigate noise frig makes. Since I couldn't reproduce the sound, technician took out the floor of the refrig section and tightened up fan. Verified that unit wasn't over icing or anything else obvious. Didn't fix noise. Called them back and discussed that due to age of unit, wasn't worth the money to replace the compressor. I'm just going to live with it until it dies.

Description of Work: Service call for dryer that was not heating up. The technician was able to diagnose the problem (the coils were bad) and fix right away. He also taught me how to take care of the dryer better so the problem wouldn't happen again.

Description of Work: I had multiple appliances break down at once. Arlington Appliance responded quickly and came to the house. The guy was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. He was able to get my oven working again by replacing a part, took a look at the dishwasher and found that the motor had burned out and advised against fixing it, as the cost would be prohibitive. The main reason I'm giving them a B is that my refrigerator door had fallen off (yes, fallen off) because the bottom of the door had crumbled to dust on one side. He advised me to get a new fridge because the cost of a new door is almost the same price as a new door. Not bad advice except that the door can swing two ways and he didn't think to simply move the hinges from one side of the fridge to the other, which means that my fridge is working again (i.e. the door seals). The other side may yet crumble but I did NOT have to get a brand new fridge at that moment.

+ -1 moreOverall fantastic experience with Arlington Appliance today. I called them yesterday because our dishwasher wasn't working. They were available and willing to come right away, but since today was more convenient for me, they came just when I said would be best. Dan, the service guy, was very friendly and pleasant, fixed the dishwasher right away and explained what the problems were, and how to check that it was working well now. No parts were needed, so we paid $89 for the service call, which strikes me as very reasonable. He also said that if today's fix doesn't seem to have solved the problem, after we run the dishwasher a few times, that they will come out and check it again for free. He gave me some tips on keeping the dishwasher working well. I can definitely recommend them, and will use them again in the future!

+ -1 moreCalled a few plumbers, who were not interested in helping with this problem. Called Arlington Appliance and they came in a few hours, exactly when promised. Problem was fixed promptly and well about an hour later. Cleaned up well. Price was not cheap, but fair.
