Chris did a great job. Very professional, friendly, arrived on time. Knew what he was doing.

The gentleman arrived on time, got right to work and narrowed it down to the motherboard. He took the modem to their "office" to confirm that it was the motherboard and called me the next day or so, confirming their diagnosis and even explained what they thought had happened. They offered to help me get a new computer and set it all up, getting my info off of the old computer.

It all went very smoothly. Nice man, came when said he would. Finished the requested service quickly, then helped me with some small computer tasks with the remaining minutes to complete the hour. Setting up the call was easy, pleasant (Ron Chait). He referred me to Andrew who specializes in Apple products and TVs. He was a "prince", friendly, efficient, helpful to a not very tech-savy person. I would happily refer this company and Andrew.

Bill was on time, very professional and knew what he was doing. He listened to my concerns and paid attention to what I wanted. He made several excellent recommendations and implemented them. And he identified the source of three annoying problems that I had been unable to figure out. He did much more in the time he was here than I expected, and he solved problems that I had no expectation of getting fixed. My computer is running better and I have a backup system in place. Thanks Bill! I'll definitely use this company again if I run into problems, but everything is working so well now that I will probably never have to.

It was easy to schedule an appointment with them. The person arrived a little late, after the scheduled 4-hour window, however, he called before to let us know he would be late. (It can be tricky since you are already stuck home for 4 hours and may have to stay home even longer if they are late or come at the end of the 4-hour window. Just leave the whole day open.) The guy was very nice, he spend 2 hours and 15 min working on the computer and iBaby. The computer is a little faster now but not a lot since it is an old computer. We were not expecting it to be really fast. He could not help us with the iBaby although he tried hard. My husband even called the Geek phone service to try to see if someone would know with no success. My husband and I feel like all the guys were very patient and knowledgeable and tried hard to help us. We think that the price is a little high and we searched around using AL and it was one of the highest ones we found but they had good reviews. We would use them again if needed (but I am still looking for someone that knows the iBaby and can help be with that :))

Geek successfully removed the virus within the time and budget they estimated.

Geek Housecalls was terrific! I wish that I had hired them years ago. Bob was punctual, professional, knowledgable and exrtremely helpful. I would definitely hire them again!

I was able to set up appointment for the day I called. The orignal purpose of my call was to hire someone to help me install a new printer, Windows 8, and the Microsoft Office program. I have a computer service contract with a company headquartered in India, and I have had difficulty commmunicating and understanding their techs. They sold me the Windows 8 program and then they also sold me a new printer because my current printer is not compatible with Windows 8 My computer knowledge is limited, I do not have experience with touch screens, and I should have done more research before purchasing Windows 8 and the new printer. The Geek tech asked me about my computer needs and skills. He showed me how Windows 8 works on his computer and explained the learning curve that I would encounter. He also explained the benefits of Windows 8. My current printer is in good working order and serves my current needs. After a discussion of pros and cons, we determined that I do not need Windows 8, so I therefore do not need a new printer. I will return both and save several hundred dollars, as well as saving myself hours of frustration .The Geek tech was a good trainer, and there were no language barriers so I understood everything he taught me. He explained why I should learn to use touchscreens and the beneftis of a smart phone. I will definitely use Geek Housecalls in the future.

The Geek sat and speculated for 1/12 hours. He expressed at least three major guesses. He had no test equipment or instruments of any kind. I thought that a professional would have a way to perform some objective tests. None were done. He basically didn't know any more about the nature of the problem than I did. The difference is; my guesses were free. This guy guessed for over 1 1/2 hours for around $227.00. This was with an Angie's List $50.00 coupon reduction. He could have easily restricted his guessing (and talking) to 15 or 20 minutes and charged accordingly. He refused to give me the advertised senior citizen's discount because I had an Angie's List coupon. I would not recommend this company to an enemy. This is the second time Angie's List has solicited a review from me on this company on this company, so this is my second negative review.

They are terrific and very good. They were really great and went down to an office supply store with me to help me pick out new things. When the printer was not right they helped me bundle it back up. They could not have been any nicer.

They responded promptly to my phone call and had a technician out the same day. The repair was successful and he gave us some advice on other issues with this computer.

My appointment was for 6:00 p.m. My elderly mother received a call from the tech at 4:00 p.m. saying he could come then. She told him that was not possible since I was still at work (which is why I made appointment for 6:00 p.m.). He said he would still come at 6. At 7:00 p.m. I called the main number at Geek Housecalls and left a message that the tech had not yet shown up, or called. I then found his cell number on my caller id, called him and he said he would be at my home in about 15 minutes. He never showed up until 7:50 p.m. He apologized stating he was tied up with his last appointment longer than he thought he would be. Once he did arrive he seemed to know what he was doing. After 2 hours of going back and forth with computers (an old desktop and 2 Macs) he finally said I needed a new router. He had one with him but not the correct type. He did come back Saturday morning and worked another 2 hours trying to get the desktop to connect to the secure wireless setting. He was not successful but he also did not charge us for his time Saturday, only the cost of the routers (he apparently had to get 2, one for our cable & one for the internet). I found the whole ordeal rather frustrating, although I think I was over my limit with frustration from him arriving 2 hours late. I do believe I would use them again and would request Paul, the tech we had that weekend. He was very nice and seemed to know what he was doing in a very strange situation (old desktop that refused to connect to secure internet connection).

It went seamlessly and the tech (Matt) was great and also answered questions that I asked later on to get everything back to the way it had been.

Punctual, educational, informative! Everything was done well and to our satisfaction. Most importantly, we didn't have to do it! :)

The service has gone very well. They are professional, on time, and clearly explain what they did. They bill reasonable and known amounts. They are also extremely competent and I have no complaints.

Their service was great and he did an excellent job.I am particular and requested he remove his shoes before entering my home. "Absolutely!" he said. He then put on his booties. I was impressed and I would certainly use him again without hesitation. It was easy to schedule the appointment and he was on time.

They don't do anything that is not needed. They always explain what they are doing and how it will benefit me. They also look for programs to install that will benefit me at no additional cost. They make sure any of my computer related systems are working properly and don't have viruses. They explain everything effectively and I could not ask for a better service. They are one of the best investments I ever made and I don't know what I would do without them. I cannot say enough great things about their service.

I was booked for a "remote" appointment the very next day. The technician, Matt M. was very resourceful and knowledgeable in manipulating the send/receive settings up-to-date. I have been using this company for 3 years, and the two technicians whom I have had contact with, Mike D. and Matt M., have been outstanding in their knowledge, professionalism, and courteousness. I highly recommend this company.

They were wonderful, very polite and helpful. They suggested that I bring in the computer to save some money on a house call.

it was suppose to cost 150.00 per hour with angies discount of ,50.00 off first hour that I did not get, my credit card co. got me 30.00 off first hr so overall cost came to 337.00 that's two hours and15mi. mi.. they charge me for. but was only here for 1 hr &15 was I charge for driving to and from? I don't know I can't get answers. However they did a very good job. So do your homework and find before you commit to contract.

It went very well. They got the virus off.

I called Fast Tek in the morning and was able to get an appointment that afternoon. I asked what the cost was and was given the hourly rate and was told there was a one hour minimum. The tech was scheduled to arrive between 2 pm. and 3 pm and at approximately 1:45 p.m. the tech called and asked if I was aware there was a two hour minimum charge. I explained I was not told that and was concerned about this change. The tech, Michael, offered to look at my computer remotely saying that many problems can be fixed this way. The minimum charge for remote service was only 1/2 hour, so I opted for this. Michael did a great job and had all the work completed in one hour. Although I had the latest McAfee antivirus software, which was supposed to include malware protection it failed miserably. Michael installed free Windows software which he said will provide the protection I need. While I was very happy with the work, I was not happy about getting incorrect information about the minimum charge. I also was not pleased that remote service was not offered during my first phone call. I would use this company again because the technician did a great job but I would ask for remote service first and confirm the minimum charge.

He was polite but spent too much time and charged too much. Set up an inter net provider that I cannot access.

It went very smoothly. The gentleman arrived on time and went to work immediately. He was very professional. He did everything I asked and more. My old computer is running better than it ever did. My home network has performed flawlessly since his visit. It was rather expensive, but I think it was worth it. I would not hesitate to call them again if I needed help.
