Thomas did a great job, kept me informed of the progress throughout the service and the computer worked great following replacement, with no lost files and with original setting in place.

Tom, son of owner David, was terrific. This service required coming to our house and trying to extract data from an old desktop that could no longer be started to a new desktop just purchased. Tom was able to extract the data from the hard drive of the old desktop, and to highlight issues and possible resolutions to some items that could not be transferred (such as application programs that had been installed from CDs that were no longer supported). Friendly, empathetic, respectful of health protocols, and, most importantly, proficient are adjectives I would use to describe Tom.

As usual, Tech Help Boston did an outstanding job. I have used them for several years, they always have resolved my problems. I do a great deal of photo editing on my computer, it's very important to have the system working properly. I've had several problems recently, including an email issue that was actually quite complicated (at least for me!). It was taken care of remotely, I continue to be very pleased with the technical support I receive from Tech Help Boston.

This was easy: I filled out the online form; an appointment was arranged; and the tech was able to fix everything while working remotely. It cost $67.50.

A remote session led to problem identification and solution. I have been grateful for Tech Help Boston efficient, common sense problem solving and breadth of knowledge. Since 2007, they have assisted through 11 different computers, 7 operating systems, untold accessories and peripherals. The techs who came to our house were knowledgable and worked hard to fix the issues. They explained - in plain English - what they were doing and what was necessary. I certainly would hire them again!

The people at Comcast assured us that we could install the new router ourselves, that it was a fairly simple procedure. One look at the gadget and the manual when we got home convinced us that we would save ourselves a lot of grief by getting help. I have used Tech Help Boston on several occasions in the past 5 years or so, and so I called them. The Tech Help people have always been terrific, and the same was true on this visit: Thomas Elmasian is smart, knowledgeable, listens, and is incredibly patient on the phone with companies like Comcast and in person with computer novices like me and my husband. While he was here, he also helped me with some problems on my desktop computer. I expect to be calling Tech Help next year when I replace my current desktop with a new one.

I've heard that runners get a high after a run. My computer is eleven years old this month. It runs on Vista and uses Office 2007. I use it for personal purposed and part-time work. Outlook had stopped and things just slowed down to a crawl as soon as I renewed my McAfee subscription on last Friday. Bill from Tech Help Boston was here all morning going through all kinds of fixes in the system. When he finally said let's try the e-mail and it worked, I got high that that will last for the month. He continued and added a few programs to keep things running well. Come spring I will be buying a new system and you can bet that Tech Help will be companion in purchasing and installation. Went fine except tow complications: one old hard drive crashed so no longer able to "pass it on" and second, unable to export/import emails easily, HOWEVER, he went home and did each contact individually. That is customer service.2750

They are friendly, knowledgeable, very prompt in responding, they're just great to work with.

He answered my questions and helped me do some things which have made my MacBook Pro much simpler for me to use. He also gave me some good advice about the purchase of upgrades and a replacement mouse. I appreciated that he did not salt his conversation with computer-speak but, at the same time, did not treat me like a computer idiot.

They did a good job. They were on time. Their punctuality was good. They were good. It's a nice shop.

I was very pleased with this service. They did a good job taking care of business. They did the job efficiently and pleasantly even though I was always looking at them and looking over the shoulder. They managed to focus on the job at hand rather than my attempts at humor. They were very courteous and friendly. They were efficient.

In addition to the cost for Angie's $99. he took another hour at a additional cost of $150. I think it could have been done quicker and that he dragged it out.

The service and follow-up was excellent, would highly recommend.

SMOOTH and friendly. I wished I'd called them in the first place - it would have saved a LOT of headaches. The Office staff was knowledgeage - the scheduling went quickly, and was executed as promised. It was a real pleasure to see someone who is actually an expert and enjoy their work. OUTSTANDING.

The provider was delayed in traffic but otherwise the appointment went ok. As it turned out, the person scheduling the appointment neglected to mention that a boot disc was needed to perform the fix. Since one was not provided when I bought the computer, the provider and I spent the hour trying to locate the necessary software. He even drove me to Walmart to pick it up, but unfortunately, (even though on line said they had the software) they did not have it. We came back an ordered it and a new hard drive online, and scheduled another appointment. The provider took my PC with him, was able to fix the corrupt sectors of the bad drive; when he returned for the 2nd visit he copied my old drive to the new drive and all was well. I was even able to return the copy of the software. The fee for Angie's list hour was $99; after that it was $150/hr.

We purchased a Big Deal for 1 hour of on site computer support for my mother's computer, since she was having numerous issues with her PC. Bill was sent out and determined that there were malware/spyware issues and was able to cleanup the system. He also installed software to prevent this from happening in the future and instructed my mother on the use of a website (program?) that indicated the safe sites to use and the ones to avoid. He did a very thorough check of the system and even got her email synched up to her iPhone which she had been having problems with. Bill was very courteous, knowledgeable, and patient and explained what he was doing in terms that she could understand. Her system is working great now and she is very pleased with the work he did (as am I). In addition to the hour that was purchased through the Big Deal, he spent an additional hour and it was well worth the money. Both my mother and I would use this company (and Bill) again.

Mike came on time, asked me about the problems I was experiencing, & quickly went to work on my computer. My computer was debugged, and a printer spooler problem was also resolved. Mike was helpful, pleasant & friendly. Just a little over a month later, my computer is still running well.

Rep appeared on time, driving a long distance through the rush hour and via snow-cramped streets. Immediately went to work, tackling some very knotty problems on the PC. The memory installation on the Mac Book went quickly and smoothly and the result was even more dramatic than I had anticipated. Rep was at work for three hours; rather than complaining or seeming eager to leave, he explained everything thoroughly and understandably and wanted to be sure that there were no further problems that needed his attention.

As usual, everything went very well. These guys really know what they are doing and are very efficient, which saves money. I trust them with my computers and all the confidential material it contains.

The technician was prompt, personable and thoughtful, especially when a new piece of equipment I purchased could not be made to work properly. He spent ~15-20 minutes trying to get it to work and then called me in to ask my opinion for next steps. This was exactly the kind of service I needed.
