Braman Termite & Pest Elimination

After getting information from this company I decided to check a contract from previous owner to look at all my options. Rob, and his team were very helpful with information, and details.

John was very professional and explained everything well.

Service Tech Graig Carrier met with my wife and me on 12/10/14. He confirmed evidence of past carpenter ant activity as well as a prior mice nesting. Graig provided detailed information regarding the biology and behavior of carpenter ants and suggested that we set some traps to determine if the prior mouse problem still persists. He spent over an hour with us but charged us nothing. Graig indicated that since the ants were hibernating at this time of year, it would be of little value to treat for them. He suggested that we wait until late April or early May and call Braman back to perform a treatment at that time. I will definitely be calling Braman back this spring. I found Graig to be highly professional, knowledgeable and honest.

The pest control expert examined the basement, bathrooms, kitchen, attic and the perimeter of the home. He concluded that mice could be entering thru small holes around the cellar windows. He placed about 25 mice bait containerfs in strategic areas. He also added some "traps" to the garage and shed. He answered all of my questions and said to call in a month if I saw any more signs of mice.

They were great. They sent out a man named Bill who was professional and did everything that needed to be done. Everything went well, there has not been an insect since then. I think that they were reasonable for what they did. He was right on time and did follow through. I was very happy with their customer service.

Provider did not show up on time to the inspection. Inspection began at 0900. Inspector was sent to incorrect address by appointment booking, still in the near area - but wrong address. Inspector called me to get correct address. Showed up, conducted the inspection, provided personal feedback on results that were easy to understand. So overall the inspection went well. To settle up, the fee was $175. The real estate agents were a little surprised, that was approximately 75% more than they typically observed for pest inspections. More typically they observe those same services operating in the ($85-$110) range. That was probably the biggest surprise factor of the inspection - the cost. Although quoted up front, being new to the Massachusetts area I had no framework with which to compare pricing as the previous two inspectors I called were booked and could not make the appointment time. I never got to cost with them. Perhaps the lower cost is a factor in their being booked and Braman being available. Anyway - the objective of a completed inspection was met. I think in the future I might try a lower cost, licensed provider of the similar service.

Bill arrived within the 2-hour window , and after inspecting the damaged area of the stairs, concluded that a chipmunk, not insects, had been chewing the wood! We found Bill to be friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to do an inspection of the rest of the house. We would definitely use Braman again if the need arose...and are happy to have found them through Angie's List!!

Easy to schedule, very professional, easy to work with and bees are gone! A bit expensive for a bee's nest removal but was necessary because of painting we were going to do. I learned that if you let them be they will not come back in spring.

A couple different people would come on different occasions. They returned twice after the initial visit to make sure they had gotten everything. The company does well with return visits if you still see bugs after they arrive.

I shopped around and they were just about right on with everybody else. They were very good to me as far as putting everything back where it belonged. It was fantastic. They were very professional.

One of Braman's wildlife specialists - Bill - came out for an initial consultation and to survey the problem. He was friendly, assessed the situation, and told me what to expect. He was back daily over the next week setting Havahart traps in the attic and on a ledge near the roofline where squirrels had chewed a hole into the attic. He caught and took away four squirrels. He was punctual, professional, and we were very satisfied.

They come out four times per year for general pest control and termite treatment. I have used them for probably the last 20 years to do inspections and treatment as needed.

Arrived on time and as promised. Was respectful of my home. Treated the Ant infestation as promised. Within two weeks time (less than we were told to expect) the ants were gone.....Success!!!

Braman came to the house and found the problem area which was spayed. After, they setup traps around the house that were checked every month for termite activity. It took 3 years before the traps showed no more activity by termites. Finally, all traps were removed and we have never had another problem since. Throughout the time Braman was always in contact with us and their service people kept us informed about termite activity. There was always good communication and the price never changed over the three year period. I am very pleased with this company.

The initial estimate was about 3 weeks ago with Rob, and it went very smoothly. He listened carefully to all of our needs, and gave me a very fair estimate on the spot. Today a technician, Wayne, came and performed the work. He did a full walk-through of the house with me, and he let me know that he would make sure to be extra careful in my son's room. Company policy says that you need to be out of the house with all animals for 4 hours. The animals and I arrived back 4 hours later to find Wayne finishing up the work on the outside of the house. He let me know that it took extra time to clean all of the spiderwebs from the house. I had let him know that spiders are my phobia, so this was very kind of him (this wasn't part of the contract, he did it to be nice and make me feel more comfortable in my home). We signed up for a full year service with them, which includes a total of 3 visits over the course of a year. There is a 10% discount if you pay for all 3 visits up front and pay by check. Overall my experience with Braman Termite and Pest Elimination has been great, and I would highly recommend them.

Serviceman was very knowledgeable and professional. Arrived on time. Answered all questions and was very thorough. i have also used them for mice in the past. I would not use anyone but Braman for exterminating.

It was a Springfield phone number that I called, so I think they might be individually owned. The guy who came out was very knowledgeable and they are going to be doing some follow ups to make sure the traps are working. I was very satisfied with my initial interaction with them.

Excellent. Inspection thorough. Canine inspection extremely thorough. Very well training dog and handler. Very professional and very personable.

It went well and we used them. There were 17 traps placed around a relatively small house, so they didn't skimp or anything. They came when they said they would and installed the traps and baited them. They came back in the fall and re-supplied the traps. I don't notice more damage but small colonies of termites move at a slow pace, so I'll know more in the spring when they become active again.

Never a problem with this company or its employees. I have the annual maintenance program where they come 4 times a year to spray etc. The representative that comes to my house is prompt, thorough and very professional. There have been a couple of occasions where I have had to call them in between scheduled visits when there were some ant/earwig issues. They respond immediately, with no questions asked except where are you seeing them? I think in the 7-8 years I've been using them, I have had to call only 3-4 times in between scheduled visits. One time I lost track of when the scheduled visits were, and I called a couple weeks before the routine service was to be performed. They sent the guy out for the call and a couple weeks later they called for the scheduled visit. I can't ask for better service than that.

They were very strong on the bait system and didn’t want to recommend the solution. Their system is an actual termite elimination rather than a suppression. I needed immediate action however so I ended up choosing a different company who stood by the solution.
