Ken was very responsive. He was very busy finishing up jobs before the season ended, but he managed to fit us in, which was greatly appreciated.

Ken was punctual, professional and a really nice person as well. Everything looks perfect and I am very happy with my beautiful granite posts and new mailbox.

I called Ken last week to inquire on getting a new mailbox mounted to a new granite post. I was told that he would be out the following week and do the installation. I came home from work today to find a beautiful new mailbox and granite post installed. All I did was told him the way I wanted to mailbox installed and marked it with a wooden stick and he did the rest. The granite post with black mailbox match the color combination of my house pefectly and gives it a really classy look. Good price, qualty work and punctual. What more could a customer want?

Ken responded to my email with a call and we set up a date for installation sometime in the next week. That passed and he hadn't come so I called, he called me right back and he came the following Monday as weather had delayed him. Installation went smoothly and he removed the old post and box. I called back because I didn't think the mailbox closed well enough. He came right back and adjusted it without any problems. Really nice man and did all the work. It looks great and the price was very reasonable. I plan to use him soon to put in a matching post for my light outside!

The good doctor came at the expected time, was friendly and fun to talk to, did a great job, and that was that. I'm sorry; I can't remember the price we paid--it was so long ago--but the price was perfectly reasonable.

We bought our house new about eight years ago and the builder had not installed a mailbox.. We preferred using a Post Office box anyway. However, we recently decided it was time to have a mailbox installed, so I started doing some research. It wasn't easy finding mailbox installers, so I was happy to come across Ken Henderson here on Angie's List. His ratings are very high and now I can see why. His website is very useful and tells you all you need to know about mailboxes & posts. I contacted Ken by email in late winter. He couldn't install immediately since the ground was covered with a lot of snow. As soon as enough snow had melted away, Ken was here. I'll cut to the chase: Ken did a fabulous & professional job. He is responsive with emails, his prices are very reasonable, his work is impeccable. And, to top it all, he is a very personable and friendly fellow. If your mailbox is ailing or nonexistent, the Mailbox Doctor is your man -- look no further.

We've recently been doing some exterior work on our home and were pleased at how the work was coming along. One thing that became obvious as we enhanced and raised the aesthetics of our home's exterior -- our mailbox looked shabby. I had seem some signs around town so I searched online and decided Mailbox Doctor was who I wanted to contact. After viewing photos on their website and speaking to Ken on the phone, my husband and I decided on the 7x7 granite post with metal bracket. It seemed substantial and fitting with our antique farmhouse. Happy to utilize a local craftsman, I set up an appointment. Ken arrived at our scheduled time and proceeded to remove the old wooden post, dig the appropriate hole for our new granite post and then utilizing a neat crane on his truck, lowered the new post into its assigned space. It was pretty cool and the kids and I enjoyed watching. Ken was happy to explain the process as he went along and was very congenial. I was also pleased with the time and care he took to make sure the new post was straight and leveled. The finished product was just as I had hoped and polishes off the look of our home. Reasonable prices, local craftsmanship and quality materials are just three of the reasons I am confident recommending Mailbox Doctor for any mailbox repairs/replacements you may have in mind.

Our new home did not have a mailbox - previous owner apparently had post office box. We checked a few other companies but Ken had the best price and was local which is great since we prefer to support local business whenever possible. We filled out the form on the Mailbox Doctor website and heard back from Ken right away - email is the best way to contact him. He was able to install the post considerably sooner than other companies and he called the morning of the installation to let us know he was on his way. Ken is very nice and professional. He hand digs the holes so the whole install took about 2 hours. The new granite post and box look terrific! We highly recommend Ken - the Mailbox Doctor delivers!

Our mailbox post was wobbly and the box itself was being held on by a "bungee cord" so we decided it was time for a new box and post. We reviewed Ken' s website which was easy to navigate and had good pictures but then called Ken to get a few questions answered. He sent us an invoice by email and I followed up with another question about adding the newspaper box and my concenrabout the size of it. He was good enough to measure the box and write back what fit in his personal paper box at home. We set up a date for installation and Ken called the morning of with the time he expected to arrive. He was delayed but called us promptly to say he would be there in 45 minutes which he was. Did a very thorough job of installation and clean-up. Even took our ugly old green Boston Globe box out and away. New mailbox and post looks great! Ken is a very pleasant person who takes pride in his work! p.s. don't know how to judge his price because we did not check with any other companies. had a good feeling based on our inital conversations and email which worked out thankfully!

Our mailbox desperately needed to be replaced. I checked Angie's List and found Mailbox Doctor. I contacted Ken, who pointed me to his website where I could see some photos of the options he provided. He was quite responsive via email (we never attempted to call each other - it was always email). We made arrangements and he came out on the 3rd to remove my old mailbox and replace it with a brand new one on a granite post. Ken did an awesome job! I would recommend Mailbox Doctor in a heartbeat!

We were undecided whether to replace the mailbox post with another wooden one or granite. We talked to 5 landscaping/fencing companies about replacement and got varying prices and opinions. It was amazing how the prices and methods of installation varied. Most agreed that granite would break if directly backed into (which may be what happened to our mailbox during a blizzard). Still undecided, I found Ken on Angie's List. I had a bit of a false start when I tried to contact him through the phone number listed and did not get any response after several days. I then went to his website and submitted the electronic message form and he responded the next morning by e-mail. I decided to get granite because he said he has not had to replace one in the four years he has been installing them and because we have recently had some vandalism (pulling up the mailbox posts) which I know will not happen with granite! The price made it a no-brainer - significantly less than anyone else - and he even has a senior discount! I really wanted to get incised numbers on the post but at $99 I couldn't justify it to myself, especially since I still have some question about whether the post will survive the winter plows! Ken installed it the following week. My only other concern was that because the mailbox is across the street on my neighbors' property, I really wanted one of us to be home to okay the placement. I had suggested 2 days I knew someone would be home but on the week of installation Ken emailed to say he was coming out on a different day. I responded to ask if he could change to one of the other days and didn't hear back so was wondering what I would see when I returned from work. He did not come on that day and, in fact, he did the install on one of the days I had suggested, but I didn't know that would happen until my husband got a call in the middle of the day to say he wanted to come by in an hour. All else was perfect!

Great job. Replaced our broken mailbox with a granite pole and meta support. Fast and excellent work.

I called the Mailbox Doctor in the morning and got a return call that evening. He came over the next morning to look at the damage and to make some temporary repairs. He was responsive and punctual. I plan to call him back in the Spring to make more permanent repairs.

Ken had to come back since our original location was too close to a stone wall. We finally were able to move our mailbox to the opposite side of the road from the original mailbox location and it looks great.

It took two phone messages (and a bit of a wait) to get an initial call back and arrange the work. He didn't show up on the specified day and instead showed up the next day (without any phone call). The actual work done was very good quality and the well worth the price.

Mr. Henderson promptly returned my initial phone call and came to my house to get a clear idea of the new mailbox I envisioned. Within a couple of weeks, he brought me sample mailboxes and sketches of the design for my post. The finished unit was speedily installed at the price initially quoted. I am delighted with its elegant design and sturdy workmanship. It was a pleasure to do business with Mr. Henderson.
