Description of Work: House was power washed (I have old aluminum siding); trim and surface were scraped, sanded; putty and caulking were applied where necessary and loose areas were nailed back. The entire house had a prime coat and a finish coat. Vinyl shutters were painted. Screens were removed and cleaned plus the composite deck and rails were power washed. Great workers, very polite and hard working. All equipment was cleaned up and removed from the property.

Description of Work: Stained an addition to my home; painted the trim. Paul came to my home to give me an estimate the same day that I called him. The addition and trim were prepped (sanding, puttying, caulking, loose areas were nailed back, gutters were removed, tarps were carefully hung to protect the windows and siding of the main house). The work was started within 36 hours and finished soon after. The workers were very careful cleaning up; everything was put back in its place.

Description of Work: Exterior prep and painting if a portion of our home. The job was done quickly but it took a long time to get the job scheduled. When they left I had to do some spatter clean up which was no big deal, but I'd hoped for a cleaner result.

Description of Work: Paint crew was great and did a good job. The boss was annoying. He was trying to hurry the painters to finish because it was a Friday and he wanted to go home even though the workers were trying to accommodate my inspection of the job. He was saying very unprofessional things like I didn't charge you enough and every time someone picks up a brush I should charge you more. Trust me, he wouldn't have talked to my husband or any guy like that.

Description of Work: I hired Paul to paint the exterior of my house after he had painted several other houses on my street.The work included painting the house,garage(which is separate from the house),trim,shutters and some minor carpentry.His crew did a very good job prepping consideringthere was major peeling on parts of the house.The job took about a week to complete and I am very satisfied with the work that was done.

Description of Work: House shingles were bleached and then completely power washed. Shingles then covered with two coats of preservative. trim was then prepped, primed and painted. Exterior doors painted as well as railings, cellar windows and porch screens and under porch lattice. Nothing was overlooked! Very professional

 + 0 morecomments field .I had used Mr. Gentile in the past and was pleased with all phases of the job. When I needed my house painted on the exterior, I called for an estimate. He showed up on time and provided me with a written estimate. I accepted the terms and he began as soon as the weather permitted. My exterior paint was in poor condition and a tremendous amount of prep work was need. Power washing, caulking, scraping and sanding. He delivered on every count exactly what he promised. This was a painters nightmare because of an extensive overhang and 4 sets of railings. He also surprised me by painting areas we had not discussed (lightpost, and cellar window wells and bulkhead). I cannot say enough for how decently he treated me throughout a 2-3 week process. We had a lot of rainy weather that held him up and he did not try to rush the job. I most especially appreciated that he had no mishaps with the paint and when he left the lawn was raked and no trace was left that he had been there. My house shines like a jewel.

 + -1 morePaul returned my initial call promptly. He was just a few minutes late for the estimate meeting. But during the walk through he didn't ask any questions or clarify what we needed done. After a 15 minute walk through he seemed to guess on pricing for my job. Throwing out seemingly random numbers that totaled over $33,000. Two other painters quoted the job and came out in the 16,000 - 18,000 price range. I would not recommend calling Paul for a quote. It was a waste of my time.

 + 1 moreOn the whole a very satisfactory experience. The place looks wonderful. There were a few minor issues involving cleanup, but Paul was attentive to our requests. Although he does not come cheap, the quality of the work is excellent and we have received many compliments.
Description of Work: Paul and his crew removed ugly old wallpaper from three first floor rooms plus the stairway/hall area from first to third floors. They applied new wallpaper in one room and painted the rest, plus painting a bathroom and the butler's pantry. Paul was quick to answer our request for an estimate, came on the day he was supposed to start, the crew showed up on time every day and finished remarkably quickly.
