Description of Work: TWO PEOPLE CAME AND CHECKED ALL A/C UNITS. PUT FREEON ON 1 UNIT. WE HAVE SIGNED THE CONTRACT WITH THEM FOR MAINTENANCE.WE HAVE AMERICAN HOME SHIED |INSURANCE.

Description of Work: Replaced 21 year old Goodman Heatpump and inside air handler/heat strips. Installed New Carrier 2 ton Heatpump amd inside unit. Added an air vent to bathroom. Great company to work with. Stephen, owner, is very knowledgable and provides good data to make a wise decision. B for price because I only had 2 estimates. Thinking it is high but is a good brand.

Description of Work: After arriving home from vacation to find that our oldest (of three) A/C units had gone out, we called our regular A/C guy to come & take a look at it. He suggested that because the unit was nearing the end of its life expectancy (~ 20 years), we replace it. Not wanting to go with just one data point, we called 3 other companies to get their opinion on what should be done (or replaced) and their estimates. Each agreed it was time to switch out the system, but were varied in terms of: * what estimates they gave for replacing comparable units or upgrade units (w/ varying warranties) * what they believed should be modified, replaced, added, to the current system layout (in the attic) * what could/should be done for air flow efficiency Steve Villavaso (the company owner) was able to come out within a half hour of contacting him. He was very comprehensive in his approach to helping us troubleshoot our air flow concerns (it seems ever since we remodeled our attic space & added 2 rooms) as we discussed replacing our AC/Heating system. He easily spent a a couple hours with us. This alone, stood in contrast to what the other company's service technicians were able to offer. Looking at all the data points from 4 companies, we felt very comfortable going with Steve's recommendations and estimate. We received a great warranty with Carrier, as well - 10 years on parts and labor. Because we plan on living in our home several more years, we went with a 16 SEER unit, spending a bit more, but knowing we will see a return on it through lower energy costs over the next couple of years. Steve came out within 24 hours after we let him know we wanted to go with his company. They went about their work quietly and neatly, laying down drop cloths over all the areas they needed to transport their tools and equipment. By the middle of the afternoon, the system was up and cooling. That was nearly a week ago - we're so glad we did our homework and know we made the right choice! We couldn't be happier with our experience with this company!

Description of Work: I used Aire Serv Of Baton Rouge to put freon in my air conditioning system and they told me I needed to change my filter.

Description of Work: They looked at the thermostat first, to make sure it was working properly. Then they went outside and cleaned the A/C unit thoroughly & checked it out. Then they went up to the attic and inspected the unit in the attic. After adding freon (it was low) and cleaning out the outside unit, they determined that the control board was burned out and needed replacing. Greg is on his way now with a new control board.

Description of Work: The unit went out on the bedroom side of our home. I checked and found the problem was beyond my level of expertise. I found Angie's List and looked for a good heating and A/C man and found Scott with Air Medic. I called and made an appointment with him for 4 p.m. today and at 4 p.m. He was driving into my driveway. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. I felt that he looked passed the obvious and really checked for the problem.
