Description of Work: Replaced a hot water heater located in my attic....I visited the office and spoke with the secretary regarding my water heater. She took time to explain various options and scheduled a licensed plumber to come to my home to make sure the correct size water heater would be installed. When he came he checked the placement and the dimensions. I was pleasantly surprised when he showed how a larger capacity heater could be installed from the one I discussed with the office secretary. It required a bit of reworking of the plumbing. In order to save time I agreed to pick up the heater from a local supplier. The plumber made the calls while at my house to confirm the availability of the heater. He was knowlegeable, took time to explain what would be done, and had pride in his profession. There was good communication regarding when he would arrive for the job. On the day of the job all went according to plan.

Description of Work: problem was in the septic line. We have a treatment system, not city service. The guy was very cordial, and it was hard dirty work. He had to come back the next day to finish. He troubleshot problem well and fixed. However we need to replace the main line later.

Description of Work: Tapped into existing iron pipe natural gas line in attic (central heater line) to add a gas line to convert my existing all masonry wood-burning fireplace to use natural gas logs. This included running flexible natural gas pipe in attic, coming outside of the house through the soffit. They tied in the flexible pipe with iron pipe as it exited the soffit and ran unobtrusively down the outside of the brick chimney. They had to drill through the masonry wall of the chimney and run the pipe into the firebox. They installed two cutoff valves, one on the outside and an attractive, brass decorative one inside next to the firebox. They did an excellent, neat job. They showed up on time, were courteous, and because their actual time on the job was 5 hours, not 6 hours as in the original, written estimate, they reduced their labor cost by one hour, saving me $75. Their bid was also far lower than the other two bids I received. They were recommended to me by my electrician, who told me he would not use any other plumber to do work on his own home, as he sees a lot of other plumbers' work on job sites and these guys did far better work than most.
